    The ?oDante Alighieri? Cultural Association in Hanoi is pleased to inform all the fans and lovers of Italian language and culture that the 2006/2007 courses will be starting from October 2nd, 2006.
    The deadline for application is September 15th. If you want to apply,
    please come to the ?oDante Alighieri? in 35, Tran Hung Dao.

    Opening hours:
    From Monday to Saturday: 9.30-11.30 a.m.
    From Monday to Friday: 3.30 - 6 p.m.

    Your level of proficiency will be assessed through an entry text (written and
    oral) which will take place from September 18th, 2006. Once you have
    applied to the course, you will be informed on the exact date and time of
    your text.

    Course levels:

    A1 ?" Breakthrough
    A2 ?" Waystage
    B1 ?" Threshold
    B2 ?" Vantage
    C1 ?" Effective Operational Proficiency
    C2 ?" Mastery
    N.B. For further information on the programmes, studying materials and
    teachers, please click on the corresponding level.
    Each class will have a minimum of 5 students and a maximum of 25
    students. The A1 level will have a Vietnamese teacher for grammar and an
    Italian teacher for written/oral comprehension/production; the A2-B1-B2-C1-C2 levels will have two Italian teachers, one for grammar and one forwritten/oral comprehension/production. Special seminars (Italian history, art,literature, geography) will be organized for the B2-C1-C2 levels.

    Studying materials will be distributed at the beginning of the course.
    Course duration: 60 hours (October 2006 ?" February 2007, with Christmasand Tet breaks)

    Cost: 800.000 VND (inclusive of studying materials)

    Course Programmes

    Level A1
    Overall aim: Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and
    very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

    Programme
    1. Phonetics, ortography and punctuation: the Italian alphabet, vowels
    and consonants, accent and intonation
    2. Morphology and syntax: common and proper names; the article;
    descriptive adjectives; verbs (present infinitive; imperative mode;
    present indicative of the verbs to be, to have, regular verbs of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd groups); personal pronouns; possessive adjectives and
    pronouns; demonstrative adjectives and pronouns; numbers;
    prepositions; adverbs; exclamations
    3. Vocabulary: parts of the body; colours; clothing; family; parts of the day; days of the week; seasons and months; the house; the city; giving directions; means of transportation; food; communications

    Textbook: Alberto Mazzetti, Marina Falcinelli, Bianca Servadio, Qui Italia
    1. Textbook and exercise book, Le Monnier. Units 1, 2, 3, 5. Other studying materials will be provided by the teachers.
    Teachers: Vietnamese teacher (grammar); Italian lecturer (written/oral
    comprehension/production)

    Level A2
    Overall aim: Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions
    related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.
    Programme
    1. Phonetics, ortography and punctuation
    2. Morphology and syntax: common and proper names; descriptive
    adjectives; verbs (past participle, the past tense: the passato prossimo,
    the future tense, the gerund present, reflexive verbs, impersonal
    verbs); relative pronouns
    3. Vocabulary: nationalities; the weather; travelling; doing shopping;
    jobs; clothing.

    Textbook: Alberto Mazzetti, Marina Falcinelli, Bianca Servadio, Qui Italia
    1. Textbook and exercise book, Le Monnier. Units 4, 6, 7, 9. Other studying
    materials will be provided by the teachers.

    Level B1
    Overall aim: Can understand the main points of clear standard input on
    familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Can describe experiences and events,dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

    2. Morphology and syntax: common and proper names; adjective
    degrees: comparative and superlative degrees; the verbs (the past
    tense: the imperfetto, impersonal verbs); double personal pronouns;
    demonstrative adjectives and pronouns (stesso, cio?T); interrogative
    adjectives and pronouns; indefinite adjectives and pronouns; ordinal
    numbers; prepositions; adverbs
    3. Vocabulary: animals; holidays; study, job or interests

    1. Textbook and exercise book, Le Monnier. Units 8, 10, 12, 13, 14. Other
    studying materials will be provided by the teachers.

    Level B2
    Overall aim: Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both
    concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialisation. Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and
    disadvantages of various options.

    degrees: superlative degrees; the verbs (the past tense: the passato
    remoto, the ?oif? clause ?" present tense); direct and indirect speech;
    relative clauses
    3. Vocabulary: specific to the studying or working environment;
    interests

    Level C1
    Overall aim: Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. Can express him/herself fluently and
    spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. Can use
    language flexibly and effectively for social,academic and professional
    purposes. Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex
    subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns,connectors and cohesive devices.

    adjectives: specific uses; the verbs (the past tense: the trapassato
    prossimo, the ?oif? clause ?" past tense, present participle, the passive
    form, phrasal verbs)
    2. Vocabulary: specific to the studying or working environment;

    materials will be provided by the teachers.

    Level C2
    Overall aim: Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read.Can summarise information from different spoken and written sources,reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation. Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely,differentiating finer shades of meaning even in more complex situations.
    Programme
    1. Morphology and syntax: common compound names; prefixed and
    suffixes; compound adjectives; the verbs (the past tense: the
    trapassato remoto); specific uses of the language
    2. Vocabulary: specific language
    Textbook: All the studying materials will be provided by the teachers.
    Teachers: Graziella Costa, Antonio Maconi (grammar); Italian lecturer,
    seminars.

    Anh ơi, sao thông báo về việc học tiếng Ý cho người Việt mà toàn bằng tiếng Anh thế? Nếu có bản bằng tiếng Việt thì sẽ tốt hơn.
