Tôi dùng phần mềm Antivirus này (www.antivirus.com) , hy vọng sẽ giúp những bạn cũng dùng PC-Cillin 2003 có thể Register dễ dàng hơn. Ở đây phần quan trọng là ĐĂNG KÝ chứ không phải cài đặt.

This document will assist you in setting up TrendMicro''s newest version of PC-Cillin on your computer.

Insert the PC-Cillin 2003 Cd-Rom in your Cd-Rom drive and open the ''.exe'' file that is on the CD. It is the only one there, so it should be easy to find.
The first screen asks where you would like your files saved. We recommend you use the default directory, that way everything will be in the same spot once the program is installed. Click on the Next > button to proceed.

The program will then proceed to decompress the files into this directory and start the actual installation process.

The next screen you see is the first of the actual installation screens. Just click on the Next > button.

On this next screen you must agree to the Software License by clicking on the I Agree ... radio button and then click the Next > button.

After you click Next > PC-Cillin will do a quick scan of your system to ensure that it is clean before the program is installed.

On this screen you must enter your name in the Name box and the University of Western Ontario in the Organization box as well as the Serial number from your PC-Cillin CD sleeve into the Serial Key box. and then click on Next >.

This screen allows you to choose where you would like the PC-Cillin program installed. You may change the folder by clicking on the Change... button.We recommend that you install the program into the default folder and just click on the Next > button.

On this screen you can choose whether or not to install the Personal Firewall or not. We are recommending to anyone who is installing this software and is not currently using a firewall to install it. Click on the Next > button to proceed.

Click on the Install button to complete the actual installation of the PC-Cillin program.

This screen will appear while the program is being installed.

​

When the wizard is completed all you need to do is click Finish to complete the installation.

​

The PC-Cillin software should automatically start upon completing the installation. When it does you will be presented with the screen below. In order to be able to update the software you must register. Simply click on the Register Now button to proceed.

Alternatively if you want to register later you can do so from the PC-Cillin program by click on the Register Now button.

This will open up the Registration page where you are required to enter your name, company name and your email adress twice for verification purposes. Once you have done this click on Submit.

Once this has been done you will be taken back to the PC-Cillin Registration screen which now has your verification word in the "Step 3" box. Click on the Settings tab to setup the options in PC-Cillin.

The first screen is the Manual Scan potion of Virus Scan. Under Scan file types check the "All file types" as well as the "Include Boot Sector" check box.In the Scan action options set the "Action when virus found:" to Clean, and the "Action on uncleanalbe files:" to Quarantine. Also make sure that "Clean viruses in compressed files (e.g., Zip files)" and "Back up files before cleaning" are both checked.Now, click on Real-time Scan to move to the next section.

The first thing to do on this screen is make sure there is a check mark in the Real-time Scan box.In the Scan file types box, check the Recommended option. You can go in and e*** the recommended file types by clicking on the View File Types... button.In the Scan action options set the "Action when virus found:" to Clean, and the "Action on uncleanalbe files:" to Quarantine. Also make sure that "Clean viruses in compressed files (e.g., Zip files)" and "Back up files before cleaning" are both checked.Now, click on Email Scan to move to the next section.

Make sure that Enable Webmail Scanning is checked on this screen.In the Scan action options set the "Action when virus found:" to Clean, and the "Action on uncleanalbe files:" to Quarantine. Also make sure that "Clean viruses in compressed files (e.g., Zip files)" is checked.Now, click on Scan Tasks to move to the next section.

This page lists all of your scheduled virus scanning tasks. You have the option of making your own custom tasks and changing the schedule of tasks. We recommend you keep the preset tasks at the minimum and add others of your own if you wish on top of this.Now, click on Program Update to move to the next section.

PC-Cillin has the ability to automatically check to see if it is at the most current version offered by MicroTrend. If it is not, it will download the new components (scan engine, virus signature files, etc.) and install them automatically.Please make sure that Enable Intelligent Update to automatically check for updates is checked and set the time to every 3 hours.Normally PC-Cillin will prompt you to download the updates and install them but if you want it to do it all automatically just click on the Automatically update without alerts checkbox.Now, click on Internet Security to move to the next section.

We are currently recommending that you leave the WebTrap off. Click on Site Filter to move to the next section.

With PC-Cillin you have the ability to restrict access to sites from your computer. If you are aware of a site that opens a lot of annoying popups or you do want it to be opened on your computer, click on Enable Site filter and then click on the Add button.Now, click on Personal Firewall to move to the next section.

The Personal Firewall that is bundled with PC-Cillin is a security precaution, blocking malicious code and hackers from gaining access to your system. The University of Western Ontario strongly recommends that everyone uses one of these programs, especially on a high speed connection such as Reznet.On the Security Level screen, make sure that both Enable Personal Firewall and Allow my computer to be visible on the local network (NetBIOS) are checked.In the Security Level box, we are recommending you use the Medium setting for appropriate coverage.Now, click on Exception List to move to the next section.

The Exception List, allows you to pick and choose the ports that would like to have open. This is an advanced are of firewall protection and unless you are sure of what you are doing we recommend that you do not change any of the settings in here.The bottom option, Trojan Ports is a list of all of the ports that are permanently blocked by PC-Cillin''s Personal Firewall. It is something that you will probably not need to deal with.Now, click on the button to learn how to use the PC-Cillin software.

This is the System Status advanced PC-Cillin screen. It gives an overview of the last update, last scan, last virus found, etc. It is also where you can access the more advanced functions of PC-Cillin.Click on Scan Now to move to the next section.

On this screen you have a number of options, you can do either a Manual Scan of areas of your computer that you specify, or you can go to the Scan Tasks box and pick one of the pre-defined tasks such as "Scan Everything", "Scan C: drive", etc.Doing a full scan on your computer once a week is recommended as viruses can sometimes slip by the Real-Time scanner and be sitting somewhere on your system.Click on Update Now to move to the next section.

The Update Now screen allows you to manually update the program files and virus definitions for PC-Cillin. All you need to do is click on the Update button to begin the process.If any are found they will be installed automatically. Sometimes you may be prompted to restart your system which you should do for the changes to take effect.Now, click on Quarantine to move to the next section.

The Quarantine page shows you all of the files on your computer that have been infected with a virus that could not be cleaned out. You have the option to try and clean them later, delete them, restore them or send them to Trend Micro if you would like so that they may test them.When you open this page, a Quarantine Guide automatically pops up. You can diable this by unchecking the Display Quarantine Guide when I view the Quarantine List.Now, click on View Logs to move to the next section.

The View Logs page allows you view the logs kept for all activities within PC-Cillin. Just click beside the one you want to view, and then click on the View Logs button.Now, click on Internet Traffic Control to move to the next section.

On this page you can stop all internet traffic if you know you have been infected with a virus that emails itself out, if you think someone is trying to hack into your computer etc.You can also enable Wi-Fi Protection or Wireless Protection, if you are using a wireless network card.You can also when the last suspected attack was blocked and what kind it was.At this point we have covered all of the advanced options and will go to the basic ones by clicking on the Standard tab on the top, left-hand side.

The first screen in the Standard list of options is the System Status screen. This is exactly the same as the one in the Advanced tab.To continue you need to click on the Scan All Drives button. This will automatically start a full scan process.

The other option that you have to click on is the Update Now button. This acts in the exact same manner as the one in the Advanced tab.

​

To do a manual update all you need to do is click on the Update button.
