How to bring up and educate the children?​

Basic ways to discipline a child:
(discipline: punishment for doing something wrong)
- Give a timeout (little children) ?" make them sit quietly in a corner or on a chair for a period of time.
Ex: ?oSarah would not obey, so her mother gave her a 10-minute timeout?
- Spank them ?" hit them with your hand
Ex: ?oMy father often spanks me on my bottom.?
- Lecture them ?" use a strong voice to tell them what they did wrong.
Ex: ?oI came home late one night and my parents lectured me about the rules of the house?
- Give them more chores ?" make them do extra work in the house (cleaning, etc)
Ex: ?owhen my sister lied about where she went, my mom gave her extra chores to do. She had to wash and iron all the clothes, clean the house, and dust all the pictures on the walls?
- Ground them ?" take away one or more things they like to do (examples: 1.don?Tt allow them to go out of the house for fun, 2.cannot use the phone, 3.cannot watch TV, etc)
Ex: ?o Alice is grounded, so for two weeks she cannot go out with her friends?

- Your 10 year old son skips school with his friends.
- Your 15 year old son talks back to you using bad language
