LEARN THE SECRETS OF IELTS

IELTS can be difficult. It is necessary to be instructed by someone who can teach you how to maximize your band score. I am an IELTS examiner with 1 year''s examining experience, as well as 7 years'' teaching experience, of which 3 are in IELTS. I also have qualifications above and beyond those necessary to both teach and examine IELTS as well as other courses. These include a Post Graduate Certification in Education, with a specialism in Business and Economics (equivalent to a Masters in Education) from Southhampton University (UK)

Please note that most of my qualifications have been verified and stamped by the British Embassy, (for visa purposes) and the rest can be checked simply by phoning IDP or the British Council.

I have a fully equipped classroom and am very well resourced. Due to my experience and knowledge of teaching generally, particularly in IELTS, it is not necessary for the course to be overly long. The courses lasts for 60 hours and run at various times. When compared to other language centres e.g. The BC this is particularly inexpensive. I do recommend, however that you join the British Council Library . This means that you have everything the BC can provide at a fraction of the cost.

The cost of the course is $4 per hour, per person. Classes are also in smaller than average groups. This allows for plenty of individual attention.

Furthermore, I am an understanding teacher, who tries to cater for the needs of each individual student and am always willing to answer students'''' questions. I am kind and gentle, but firm when necessary. I am fully aware of the difficulties in learning and always treat students as individuals with their own specific needs rather than simply "teach to the group."

Due to my experience, both as a teacher and an examiner I have established highly effective methods of teaching for all of the skills, particularly for the Writing and Speaking components, on which most of the course is based. I have Writing and Speaking formats, which, if applied as instructed, have always proved to produce more than a 6.0

I do however carry out placement tests and interviews. This is because I expect and receive between 5.5 and 8.5 from all of my students. Approximately 50 % of applicants are rejected. This is because I only have a certain amount of time in which I can teach. Please do not be disappointed if you are rejected.
