LEARNING ENGLISH IS REALLY A CHALLENGE?

Hi everyone,
I am only a student in engineering and of course my English skills are still very bad . So dont laugh at me if i make some mistakes. I know that only few of us human being have a special ability of learning leanguages, and all of us have to try our best to get a excellent level in English. Personally, i think that a man who want to be an expert in foreign languages has to self_sacrify, work hard in long duration of time and continuously. Always take oppotunities to practics English everyday, everywhere.... But that's not enough. He has to have a target of learning languages. A strong will could give us more energy to finish his target and one day, he can pride of what he did.

have you ever thought that what do you study English for????!Every one of us will study English as good as posible By their best if they know exactly the object of learning E!!!!!!!!So don't make every things so difficult!!!!!Hic, hic!!

I think learning languages needs a sort of dow, gift or something like that. Some find it easy to understand the language, or remember new words but some cannot. In spite of that fact, we can always try to get better. Just need an suitable method then you can achieve it easier. I dont mean as easy as those are gifted but not as hard as before. So study, study, study more then you will find it worth trying, even more interesting, and atractive, and much more....

Actually, I feel it very interesting learning English. The feeling of understanding clearly complex paragraphs is great. And day by day, my English is improved litle by litle , the progress makes me more believe in myself. Sometimes, it is difficult to know exactly what the author means. But via the approach by using knowledge of science and technology, this problem is been solving step by step . I am trying to accelerate the reading speed in wide ranges such as economic, mathematics, physics and some more .... In fact, the most difficulty arises when reading pieces of plays, philosophy and literature ... even knowing most of words. Recently, it's overload for me because of my poor knowledge.
I hope all of you will help me in learning English by showing your experiencies and your outstanding knowledge

Personally, Learning other languages needs three main points:
- those one who learning industrious
- those one who have a little ability
- the last thing, let's practice fluently whatever you learned. I mean that one have a number of vocaburlaries of 300 words is better than those of have 3000 or more but don't know how to use it in practice. And this problem became a common practice in Viet Nam's students

I want to express my admiration for you,middle_nowhere. You're absolutely correct. The common shortage of Vietnamese students is using English words. Many students including me could understand a word in a specific context, but could not use the word exactly in other con***ions and get some difficulties in doing distinguish the changes in meaning of words from one field to another. Also, a very serious problem is our speaking skill. English pronunciation is universally agreed complex and I have many confusions in spelling words. Some others are too shy when making mistakes and not have enough brave to repaire them. From then on, they panic whenever using English and of course their English level becomes worse than ever before.

Do you know the reason why I reply to you? It's because I was curious about the mistake you make at the title. But I don't think you are not good at English. On the contrary, I think you intended to make that mistake so that people would become curious as I did. Though I found some mistakes in your paragraph but I to some extent I think I admire you because I find that you like English vey much and you are very eager to learn the language. And your English is even more admirable because you are an engineering student. Like you, I also love English a great deal and I'd like to make friend with people of the same interest to improve my ability of English. I wanna say that I love English and it's very important in my study. I am studying aeronatical engineering. English nowadays not only the way to us to reach human's knowledge but also the fundamental communication tool to make us become the world's critizens.If we dont want to be abandoned far from friends in developed countries and even other members in Asian Organization. If we miss the chance to be come an developed country in the next 30 years, we'll never achieve our target of a morden country.I am still a student being but like all of you, I am a Vietnamese youth so i know we all this country's future.Now, the last thing is : What did i just say?

Everything is a challenge, but every challenge can be overcome, with your real will. Engineering or any other fields of study have no meaning here, just the endeavour. It's even more respestive when an engineer uses English better than others

I think learning anything new is a real challenge and sweat, not only language itself. In reality, some people are born to learn language, namely English, well. They are gifted ones. But if we are not in those people, there's no need to get panicked as it does not mean you can not do it. When U learn English, pls think of something simple like " I learn English because I want to find a good job in the future" or as tinyfoxmas was quoted as saying that "English nowadays not only the way to us to reach human's knowledge but also the fundamental communication tool to make us become the world's critizens.If we dont want to be abandoned far from friends in developed countries and even other members in Asian Organization. If we miss the chance to be come an developed country in the next 30 years, we'll never achieve our target of a morden country" . Just set your self a goal, however simple and modest it is, to learn it well, adding with your determination to master the language.
As for me, I always admire those who follow A-related field (Maths, Physics and Chemistry) because I reckon that they are more logical and creative than we girls in D-related field.
