It can't be dinied that at school, we focus a lot on theory. I just wanna ask if this "theory" can exactly be called "Knowledge" when we hardly apply it into reality, and after we learn, we tend to forget most of it. Isn't this "Knowledge" useless?
Không thể phủ nhận rằng ngày nay chúng ta quá tập trung vào lý thuyết ở trường học. Tôi chỉ muổn hỏi rằng liệu cái Lý thuyết này có phải kiến thức không, khi chúng ta hầu như không áp dụng nó vào thực tế, và sau khi học chúng ta lại quên phần lớn kiến thức đó. Phải chăng những kiến thức này đều vô dụng?

This song was written by Emily for her mom. If my memory serves me right, her parents divorced and she lacked love from her mother, which certainly made her very sad. This is a very moving song. Actually I even cried when I heard it for the first time.

I have an idea for this topic. How about we all read a novel together - a short one maybe. Somebody will pick a novel and type up a few pages everyday. We can even alternate the typing. Along with reading, we can also discuss about what we read. This way, not only can we improve our vocabularies and reading skills, but also we'll be able to learn more about English literature (classical maybe?). My personal favourite would have been the Lords of the Rings, but this might be too much (of typing). How about the Hobbits?

That's great, but i think it's difficult to do cause of some reason, some of us can not keep an eye on the novels to the end and reading novels needs wide english knowledge, i haven't, i tried but can't.

Reading novels is not easy, but it's the most efficient way to build up one's vocabulary and reading skill. It is difficult for everyone, even those who can speak well. The first some ten pages will be a lot of work, but once one gets past that, there wont be that many new words anymore. If the one who types up the story has time, he/she can also look up for keywords from the dictionary to help others.
I can create a topic, but there should be a group of people to alternate the typing. I am working right now, and sometimes when the work load is heavy, I will not be able to go online for many days.
In the new (well, not that new) bookstore on Trang Tien, there's a section selling English books. One should be able to find some nice novels there.
