Liverpool accept Leeds bid for Fowler

Liverpool have officially accepted a bid of Ê11 million from Leeds for striker Robbie Fowler.

The 26-year old has been linked with a move to Leeds for a while now, and is now set to discuss personal terms with the club.

A Liverpool spokesman said: "A fee has been agreed between the two club."

"Leeds have been given permission to speak to the player."

"The deal has not been done, though. It's now up to Robbie to discuss personal terms."

The striker's future at Anfield has been discussed after him failing to impressed after coming back from a long term injury.

Fowler set for Leeds after they agree fee with Liverpool
LONDON, Nov 27 (AFP)
Liverpool's English international striker Robbie Fowler looks set to join Leeds United after both clubs revealed Tuesday they had agreed a fee believed to be around 11million pounds (15.4million dollars).
The 26-year-old has yet to agree personal terms and the announcement of the deal comes just hours after Liverpool's caretaker manager Phil Thompson had said he would be holding talks with the player over a new contract.
Should he agree terms it will take Leeds manager David O'Leary's spending at the club since he took over to 97 million pounds.
