Outlook Express cho phép bạn thêm một địa chỉ email mới vào danh sách các email đã có của bạn. Điều này có nghĩa là bạn không cần phải thay thế các cài đặt hiện tại trong trật tự nhận và gửi thư. Sau đây là cách làm thết nào để cấu hình Outlook Express (IE5) lấy thư từ vol.vnn.vn:
Trên thanh menu Tools, chọn "Accounts."
Chọn thẻ tab "Mail".
Chọn nút "Add".
Trên menu tiếp theo, click "Mail."
Trong hộp thoại nhãn Display Name, gõ tên đầy đủ của bạn vào và click "Next."
Trong hộp địa chỉ Email, gõ địa hộp thư vol.vnn.vn của bạn (chắc chắn gồm "@vol.vnn.vn") và click "Next."
Trong "My incoming mail server is a..." chọn "POP3."
Gõ "pop.vol.vnn.vn" trong hộp Incoming Mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP).
Gõ "mail.vol.vnn.vn" trong hộp Outgoing Mail (SMTP).
Click "Next."
Trong hộp Account Name, gõ vào tên truy nhập hộp thư vol.vnn.vn của bạn (Địa chỉ email bỏ đi phần "@vol.vnn.vn").
Trong hộp Password đánh vào mật khẩu hộp thư vol.vnn.vn của bạn.
Nếu bạn muốn Outlook Express nhớ mật khẩu của bạn, hãy chọn hộp "Remember password".
Không chọn hộp có nhãn "Log on using Secure..."
Click "Next."
Click "Finish." để hoàn thành.
Chú ý: Vol.vnn.vn SMTP server đòi quyền chứng thực. Để bật lựa chọn này làm như sau:

Trên menu Tools chọn "Accounts."
Chọn thẻ "Mail".
Nháy kép chuột lên account có nhãn "pop.vol.vnn.vn."
Chọn thẻ "Servers".
Chọn hộp "My Server Requires Authentication."
Click "OK."
Để điều khiển việc xoá thư trên Server vol.vnn.vn:

Trên menu Tools chọn "Accounts."
Chọn thẻ "Mail".
Nháy kép chuột lên account có nhãn "pop.vol.vnn.vn."
Chọn thẻ "Advanced".
Ở gần cuối cửa sổ, chọn "Leave a copy of messages on server" nếu bạn muốn lưu các thư trên máy chủ vol.vnn.vn như trên máy trạm.Không chọn hộp này nếu bạn muốn khi lấy thư về máy trạm thì xoá luôn trên server vol.vnn.vn.

Attractive service from the providers of India's largest information resource. You get 2.5MB to store messages. Supports up to 5 separate FROM: addresses, and you can retrieve email from up to 5 other email accounts. Also supports POP3/SMTP.
2. HotPop (E***or's Pick)
Free POP mail. MIME format also supported. There are no ads in the messages; instead, HotPop will send you separate Searchment from "selected" Searchrs. You can also forward email to an existing account. You can send and receive email attachments of up to 500KB. HotPop comes with a choice of domain names. HotPop filters spam before it hits your mailbox. HotPop shut down its service to new subscribers for awhile, but is now back at full strength.
3. SoftHome (E***or's Pick)
Comments had indicated that SoftHome was unreliable, but recently it has been receiving much better comments. Be careful: although the sign-up looks very similar, only the "personal" email address is free; you'll have to pay $30 a year for a "commercial" email address.
4. NFMail (E***or's Pick)
Free POP mailbox with no storage restrictions, no time limit and no advertising. NFMail also supports IMAP4 mail collection, and SMTP message sending. You can also request a "message receipt" so that you know when somebody has read your mail.
5. Crosswinds (E***or's Pick)

Free POP mail address and free web space (unlimited for personal sites, 25MB for business sites). You cannot use your free email address to run a mailing list. There is currently no WebTV or CGI support. You automatically get both free email and free web hosting as a set... you need to choose which "area" your site will live in.

MailPlanet offers a very comprehensive free email solution, which includes provisions for running it under your domain or a MailPlanet subdomain, POP3, forwarding and web-based email, 40MB of storage per email mailbox, autoresponders, daily virus scanning and more...

tốc độ lấy thư nhanh hơn nhiều so với vào trang web và xem xong no vẫn nằm yên vị trong INBOX để mình xem lại!
Yahoo bỏ POP3 làm tôi tiếc đứt ruột!
