The graph illustrates the percentage change in the age of Internet users in Taiwan between 1998 and 2000.
It is obvious from the graph that the main users of the internet in Taiwan are young people in the age from 16 to 30 years old. The percentage of Internet users in this age was highest in 1998 and then decreased in the next 2 years. In 1998, this percentage was 53%, declined clearly to 45% in 1999 and dropped slightly to 44% in 2000.
The second biggest group that uses the Internet in Taiwan is people in the age from 31 and 50 years old. The percentage of Internet users in this age was 41% in 1998 and then decreased gradually in the next 2 years, 39% in 1999 and 37% in 2000.
While the proportion of people use Internet in the age from 16 to 50 fell, the rate of children and old people rose rapidly. In 1999, the percentage of children use Internet rose from 2% to 8%, and it continued to increase in 2000. There were similar increases for older users, rising from 4% in 1998 to 10% in 2000.
In summary, while people in the age from 16 to 50 still represent the great majority of the Internet users in Taiwan, children and old people use increasingly between 1998 and 2000.

Climate change is always a big problem of each country and all over the world.there are many different opinions on this problem.

Some people think that there are things individualy can do to help prevent global climate change.Everyone can contribute to preventing global climate change even in life everyday as : individuals can change a light,turn off electronic devices when not in use,use renewable sources of energy such as:wind power or solar energy…We can walk,bicycle or take the bus instead of driving a motobike,car.We can keep our streets clean by avoiding throwing rubbish to the street,grow frees…All actions that contribute to saving energy for the country and to preserve environment.

On the other hand,we can’t deny that things Government and large businesses play an important role.Government build policies protection environment,establishment of research institutes,do green revolution with clean energy and technology,invest in public transport and have projects to protect forest…Beside, large businesses can do to help prevent global climate change by applying clean technology in processing industrial rubbish before taking it out.The world,international fund of Nature (WWF) is promoting coordinated global action to prevent deforestation and apply existing technology.1997,the international community adopted the Kyoto protocol to United Nations prevent global climate change.

From my own perspective,actions by the Government,businesses and individuals are same important.All must shake hand to prevent global climate.For example:Earth hour is a global organized by WWF on climate change.Government is calling businesses,individuals and social organizations to join.

Along with the rapid development of the society, remarkable changes have taken place in global climate. The most critical issue now is that what we should do to adapt with the global warming and prevent its negative effects. At present, a sizable percentage of people hold the view that there are things individuals can do to help prevent global climate change; however, others have the idea that action by individuals is useless and irrelevant and that it is only governments and large businesses which can make a difference.
With the first opinion, there are so many simple ways that each person can do to fight against the climate change. Take, for instance, each of us can save energy by turning off electric devices if not necessary, using public transports or going for a walk, riding a bicycle instead of private cars. Moreover, we can take advantage of processes applying other natural energies such as solar, windy or tidal forces. Each family should plant many trees around their houses because according to website Earth 911.com, a single tree can absorb one ton of carbon dioxide over its lifetime.
On the other hand, there are also quite a few of people firmly advocate that only governments and strong corporations are able to take effective measures to protect our environment. One of the primary causes is that the governments have competence to issue the policies and to pass regulations on controlling climate change, creating a legal framework to direct citizens’ behaviour as well as punish offenders who break the laws. Besides, as reported by a recent study of the United Nations Environment Program, at present, enterprises and manufactures have emitted about eighty percents of carbon dioxide leading to greenhouse gas all over the world. Therefore, the best solution for this is that these plants, especially in developing and low-developed countries need to apply modern technologies and waste treatment processes to economize energies, to make use of recycled materials and to control the pollution.
From my own perspective, fighting against global warming is not only the responsibility of individuals but also of the governments and corporations. The basis for this view is that behaviour of each person is the main factor to dealt with the climate change; however, if there isn’t the direction and the management along with the huge financial resources of the governments and the enterprises, we can’t make a turning point to face with the degradation of the planet.
From what has been discussed above, we may finally draw the conclusion that if we want to make our planet be a better place to live in and prevent the damages from the global warming, effective actions have been taken from personal level to national as well as international level.

I partly agree that there are things individuals can do to help prevent global climate change. Firsly, each action of each people, small or big, also have many effects on the environment. If they are positive, it’ll be very good. For example, many families have used solar household utensils as heater, thermal…. In fact, they are the saved-energy productions. It leads to save the natural resources and to against the climate change.

Besides, I suppose that it’s not enough if we only tell about the individual things. The roles of the governments and large businesses are also very important. My opinion, it is quite difficult for people to decide whether to degree or agree the statement above because choosing the right still depend on several point as follows

On the one hand, there must be some reason to degree the statement above to begin with, one common reason which used to prove is the individual direct contact with environment, if they have good affect to many things around them, they will reactive tremendous effect for them, for instance when people grew many tree at region their live, the air will be very fresh , it will have good affect to their life

Ad***ion, another point which helps people find the statement quite convincing, 80 % people have been answer the individual have decide to global climate change

On the orther hand, if people look at the different angles of the problem, they will agree with statement above, with tremendous local want to change the action and prevent global climate change,the action by individuals is useless, they need the goverment and large business by the hand and the mind to change behavior when they effected to the environment

in Conclusion, as both sides degree and agree prove to some good point however, from my point of views I am quite favor of the idea saying that the goverment and large business which can make a different although each of us should consider carefully before reaching the final decession on this issue
