Along with the development of society, more and more problems are brought to our attention, one of which is global climate change. This issue has great influence on the lives of people being citizens of the Earth as well as the development of all countries in the world. Some people think that there are things individuals can do to help prevent global climate change. On the other hands, others believe that action by individuals is useless and irrelevant and that it is only governments and large businesses which can make a difference.
After careful consideration, I, personally, stand on the side of the opinion that the prevention of the phenomenon of climate change is effective only when it receives the attention of everyone, from individuals to governments and businesses. The first reason that can be seen by every person is that actions of individuals will contribute significantly in preventing climate change. By small actions such as using public transport instead of driving or using paper bags when shopping instead of plastic bags or turning off all electrical appliances when not needed ... but if everyone is trying to do it with 7 billion people on the planet, it would be a wonderful gift that we give the Earth Mother. For example, an annual significant event which has been held in recent years and attracted millions of people around the world to participate is “Earth Hour”
The second thing that must be taken into consideration is that the important role of governments and businesses in the campaign to prevent climate change is undeniable. With the industrialization take place increasingly over the world, emissions and industrial wastes become more serious threat to environmental issues. According to www.vnexpress.com, the main cause of the phenomenon of global warming comes from this. Hence, if each company being aware of this impact and doing positive action by the methods of exhaust treatment before discharge into the environment, it will be major measure to combat the problem of climate change . The bar chart provides information about the percentage of commuters of the differenr modes of transport used to travel to and from work in one European city in 1960,1980 and 2000.
As can be seen in the chart,there is a difference in the percentage of commuters in all the four means of transport in years.First of all,in 1960,Bus is the most popular transport used in the European city with 38%.In contrast,the number of commuters going by car is the least in all 4 modes of transport,arround just 7%.And the number of coummters using tube is abit more than that using train,accounting for 10%.Secondly,in 1980,the percentage of commuters are not much different in the modes of transport.In particular,it is 28% of commuters using train,27% using bus.Similarly, car is used abit more than tube.Finally,in 2000,the number of commuters is fluctuating in all 4 modes.It clear from the chart the greatest proportion of commuters is recorded by car,appromiately 35%.The number of commuters using other modes is 10% lower than that using tube.In the same way,the propotion of the people using means of train and bus are quite low 22%,15% respectively.

As can be seen, there years have a same frame with most access quantity belonged to 16-30 years group, following up closely is 31-50 years group, less than 15 years group is to approximate to 50 and more group and both of them only occupy small proportions. Focus on detail, share of the less than 15 years groups is just 2% in 1998, however it multiplies 4 times to 8% in 1999 and jumps to 9% in 2000. In the other hand, 16-30 group shrinks from 53% in 1998 to 45% in 1999 and 44% in 2000. 31-50 group has a same tendency with 41% in 1998, 39% in 1999 and 37% in 2000. As well as less than 15 group, 50 and more group starts with 4% in 1999, doubles to 8% in 1999 and climbs to 10% in 2000. Overall, it can be clearly that young and middle age use Internet most nowaday, however, it will not depend on age group in the future when everybody know how to use Internet.

Many people hold the belief that violent movies and computer games have been the cause of increasing crime levels in many countries around the world today. Even though there are increasing rates of crime amongst the youth of today, I strongly disagree that television and games are at the root of this problem. It is true that youth crimes have been blamed on images of violence shown on television and computer games. I believe the reason for this is the sensational coverage of shocking crimes by the media around the world. Take, for instance the number of high school shootings that have been reported in recent years. Although it could be said that some offenders of violent crimes were influenced by these violent images Iam convinced that violent television images and games can not be blamed for all of these crimes.
I believe blaming these images only hides the deeper psychological problems the offenders have. I am of the view that many social issues are much stronger causes of crime and increasing crime rates worldwide. Consider, say, family break – ups, drug abuse, poverty, and even political instability, which all have a far greater impact on crime rates than violent images ever will. Over the years, I have reached the conclusion that violent television images and games are not responsible for rising crime rates, but in fact it is other more serious crimes which are to blame. Violent images and computer games are merely a catalyst to already troubled and disturbed personalities.

The table illustrates 4 reasons why adults in the UK have attended art events over the past 20 years. The major reason over the whole 20 – year period was a desire to see a specific performer or artist; while the least important reason was attending arts events for work – related reasons.
The percentage of people who attended events out of a desire to sea particular performer has remained relatively stable throughout the 20-year period; varying from 58% 20 years ago to 56% today.
On the other hand, the percentage of people accompanying children has shown a significant increase, from 9% 20 years ago to just under a quarter today. As far as those who attended arts events because of special occasions or celebrations are concerned, the percentage fell slightly from 27% 20 years ago to 20% a decade ago, dropping dramatically to 9% today.
There has been a slight increase in the percentage of people attending arts events for work or business, from 6% 20 years ago to just over 10% today.
Overall, there has been a rise in people attending events in order to accompany children and for work – related reasons, while fewer people choose to attend an arts event as a form of celebration.
