In modern days, the most controversial problem is global climate change. Every years, countries all over the world from the rich to poor one always debate on this topic and try to find the solution. Besides governments and large organization, there are remarkable amount of campaigns hold through years to raise people’s consciousness about environment and encourage each individual to take an action to protect our Earth home. Toward that problem, there are different opinions. Some think that there are things individuals can do to help prevent global climate change while others believe that the problem can only be solved by governments and large business. From what I have observed and experienced,　both opinions have their strong points and should be considered.
Firstly, as the individual who want to contribute the little effort to help the Earth, there are variety of works can be done. Global Climate Change is not the short time phenomenon but it is the result of human beings action through hundreds of year after the industrialization. In fact people don’t conceive of their lifestyle action, however, they also take part in the process of making the global climate worse and worse. For example, driving car exhale tons of carbon dioxide to the air every year or using water and electricity very wasteful. In many countries, the public transportation have developed rapidly and more convenient in order to very distant places. If not necessary and there are two available choices which is car and public transportation, why should people not use the more eco-friendly one? The simpler one is saving up water and electricity. In Vietnam, each year governments must invest more and more money to buy fuels to run the electricity station or build up more hydroelectric power station to provide enough energy for citizens. However, it is still no effective at all. The same case also happens to water. Each individual should turn off one lamp in their house in unnecessaryor turn off water faucet when it is not in use. With millions people taking saving up action like that, the result is remarkable.
On the other side, there are solution can only be administered by governments and national organization. The government is the agency which decide and promulgate the law, restrictions and punishment. If government has more strict rule enforce people, companies, organizations have to protect environment during producing process or cut off poisonous chemiscal elements that effect badly on the enviroment, there will be more effective than campaign with just mere persuasion and no punishment. Taking Japan for instances, to improve the life standard for residents, around buildings there are always small parks with various types of plants, flowers, trees. The domestic waste water treatment purify the water before coming to the river so that there is no smell, no chemical elemets remained in water. The quality of water is natural enough for fishes, duckes to live in. That system is applied for all residental areas in Tokyo. Actually the government plays the big role on solving global warming problem. To reduce carbon dioxide’s amount on air, the number of cars should be reduced. In order to do that, the massive public transportation must be settled down according to the demands of citizens. Staying side by side with government is national or international organizations, businesss. Not even funds, big groups of volunteers all around the world can be gathered under the same leader with the clear policies: what to do, how to do. Individuals from everywhere are connected, worked together, bring more forces and strong voices towards governments, authorities to care more about global warming.
In summary, both methods have its strong aspects and necessary in process of protectin the Earth from global warming.
