Firstly, as one can see, the location S1 which is sited in rural area is lying right beside the main road to the town of Hindon. This area can provide a large car parking for the customers traveling by car from Hindon and Garlsdon. The railway is also close to it that may attract a large number of customers traveling by train from Hindon and Cransdon. However, this site is in the North-west corner of Garlsdon and far from the area of housing, industry and town centre.

On the contrary, the second location S2 is lying in the middle of the town of Garlsdon. This site may appeal to the citizens living in the housing area as well as the area of industry and town centre. In ad***ion, it locates not only near two crowded population towns Bransdon and Cransdon but also next to the railway linked Garlsdon with Cransdon and Hindon. Nevertheless, there is no traffic zone in the town centre so it is difficult for the customers to park their cars causing traffic jams easily even not within rush hours.

On the whole, both sites S1 and S2 are suitable for the new supermarket's location, but the site S1 is more appropriate because it may accommodate much more space and time for customers in Garlsdon, Cransdon, Bransdon and Hindon.

The map below show two possible place of building a new supermarket for Garlsdon town.
The first side is S1 which lay outside the town. Because it’s location is far from the residential area so we can build a large supermarket with a comfortable carpark. People in Garlsdon or another town such as Bransdon or Cransdon can travel here by car. This position is next to railway, so shoppers from neighbour town can come here by train for shopping.
The second side is S2 which locate in the center of town. This position is also near main roads which link garlsdon to brandsdon and Cransdon with the distance are 16km and 25km respectively. It create favorable condiction for supermarket product be accessed by many people. But because it build in town so it is hard to design a suitable carpark. The shoppers may have difficulty in finding a place to park their car.

The map presents two potential locations to build a new supermarket in the future.

The first site, S1, lies outside the country to the northwest, near railroad and main way to Hindon town where 10.000 people are living. So, it is appropriate to place supermarket here for shoppers of two these towns. Besides, benefit of outside the housing area is have large space to stop and park, therefore people coming here to shopping are not worried about carpark. Morever, everyone from Bransdon town (distance 16km to southwest) and Cransdon (distance 25km to southeast ) also consume here by convenient traffic.

In contrast with S1, S2 is in the centre of Garldon town, surrounding houses and coming to industrial area is not far. Hence, this shop can supply a number of needs of workers in factories. However, parking is a problem because there is no traffic zone causing traffic jam and this can reduce consummers.

Overall, S1 is more reasonable than because of its advantages.

S15 lớp E40:

PART 1

The examiner asks the candidate about him/herself, his/ her home, work or studies and other familiar topics.
EXAMPLE
TRAFFIC WHERE YOU LIVE
· How do most people travel to work where you live?
The most common way of transportation in Vietnam is motorbike. You can see the whole family of 4 people on a small motorbike on the streets of Saigon or Hanoi.
· What traffic problems are there in your area? Why?
In Ha Noi, from 7 in the morning until well into the night, thousands upon thousands of people hurry around on mopeds with no real consideration to the rules of the road. Every maneouver is undertaken with a blast of a horn, with the assumption that everyone within hearing will know exactly what that means, and move out of the way accordingly. Even pedestrians - crossing the road here is an art form that needs to be quickly mastered if you want to get anywhere.
· How do traffic problems affect you?
Traffic jam affects the society in some of the ways below:
· creates mental stress in the motorists
· paves way for wastage of fuel and wear & tear of vehicle parts which ultimately waste the money of the motorists
· becomes a cause for rash driving and road accidents involving loss of lives
· makes the motorists to inhale lot of vehicular smoke emissions in a short period of time causing many diseases
Traffic jam affects the environment in some of the ways below:
· efficiency of fuel usage by idle running of vehicle engines in low speed is very low leading to wastage of fuel which ultimately results in over exploitation of fossil fuel reserves
· vehicles at low speed emit lot amount of carbon monooxide, unburnt fuel particles, suspended particulate matters and other pollutants into atmosphere causing air pollution more grave
· when vehicles start to move slowly, noise pollution is created by blowing horns by the motorists
· How would you reduce the traffic problems in your area?
Computers are one of the most important inventions of science. We can reduce traffic by using the computers. Most of the people prefer e-education, e-shopping and working from home. All these are possible by using computers with net connectivity. Traffic can be reduced if people reduce their travel from home to work, education or shopping.

PART 2

You will have to talk about the topic for 1 to 2 minutes.
You have one minute to think about what you’re going to say.
You can make some notes to help you if you wish.

Describe a game or sport you enjoy playing.
You should say:
What kind of game or sport it is
Who you play it with
Where you play it
And explain why you enjoy playing it.

Almost everybody has some favorite game. Mine is football. I don’t play it but sometimes I watch matches on TV with my family. Football is a game played on a rectangular field (hundred twenty yards long and fifty-three yards wide) by two different teams, each with eleven members, with an inflated cowhide ball in an oval like shape. The purpose of the offensive side is score as many times as possible while the defense tries to stop that. To score, the offense must run the ball down the field to the opposing team's end zone or by kicking it through the goal post. Since football is considered a full-contact sport, many injuries can occur by "blocking, body checking, and grabbing." In this way, it is considered to be somewhat like rugby. Even with the roughness, it is considered the most popular sport, attracting millions of participants.

S16:
PART 1

The examiner asks the candidate about him/herself, his/ her home, work or studies and other familiar topics.
EXAMPLE
YOUR FRIENDS
· Do you prefer to have one particular friend or a group of friends? Why?
I like to have a group of friends who have interests in common.
· What do you like doing most with your friends?
At weekends, I usually go shopping with my friends to buy clothes, or just chat together.
· Do you think it’s important to keep in contact with friends you knew as a child? Why/ Why not?
Yes, sure. As we live far away from each other and time goes by, if you don’t want to drift apart from your buddies, you have to frequently write letters, chat or telephone each other. Sometimes, if possible, meet your friend.
· What makes a friend into a good friend?
Being a good friend is not just about having a good time with others, it's also about how willing you are to put your friends first or point out when they're doing something you don't agree with.

PART 2

You will have to talk about the topic for 1 to 2 minutes.
You have one minute to think about what you’re going to say.
You can make some notes to help you if you wish.

Describe an important choice you had to make in your life.
You should say:
When you had to make this choice
What you had to choose between
Whether you made a good choice
And explain how you felt when you were making this choice.
Choosing a profession is a problem which worries most school – leavers. A suitable profession will bring us happiness and prosperity. An unsuitable one may be the cause of disappointment and misery in our lives.
When choosing a profession for our future, we should consider the income of our family, our desire for the profession and our ability to do it. I found it hard to follow my study at an oversea university because at that time, I was not able to pay my school fees and other expenses for the 4 years of schooling before I could earn money myself. That was the reason I decided to study Bachelor in Viet Nam.
On the other hand, my father wanted me to become an investigator as he used to be. However, I thought that when a person does not like the job she is doing, she will give up sooner or later; and she cannot perform something successfully if she has no skill in doing it.
Therefore, when choosing my profession, I was very careful in my decision, because my future largely depends on my choice. I now think it’s a wise choice.

The table shows the detail figures about the underground railway systems in six cities.

Of the six cities mentioned, London has the oldest railway system 140 years old - the 140-year-old one because it started working in 1863. The following one is Paris railway system, it was opened in 1900. Surprisingly, Los Angeles, one of the most developed cities in the word, has the newest system. It has only worked since 2001.

For the length of the route, London’s system is still the largest one with 394 kilometers. The second is Paris railway system, which is just a half as large as the system in London. On the contrary the smallest length is 11 kilometers in Kyoto.

Although London railway system is the oldest and the largest one, the system in Tokyo has the greatest amount of passengers among the six cities. It serves about 1927 million passengers per year. Meanwhile, London’s system just stands the third grade in the list, at 775 million passengers per year. The smallest railway system in Kyoto serves the smallest number of passengers per year, 45 millions.

Lang Kieu Oanh - Writing task 1- No 8

The above mentioned graph describes an overall picture about how many people aged 65 and over represent the whole population in three countries: Japan, Sweden and USA in 100 years from 1940 to 2040.
At the first glance, it is noticeable that the main trend in the aged population in those three industrial countries is upward over 100 years with the most striking feature being the similarity between the older in the USA and Sweden. To illustrate, the number of American aged 65 and over had began the period with a slight increase from the proportion of 9% to 15% in the first 20 years and had witnessed a negligible drop about 1% in the next 10 years. Likewise, the older people in Sweden have experienced a parallel, but less pronounced, slight increase by about 7% in the same period from 1940 to 1980. However, the proportion of the population aged 65 and over in these two development countries is predicted to follow in two different trends. While this figure in the USA is likely to remain unchanged at 14% over the next 20 years from 2000 to 2020 and recover back to upward trend in the years later, it see opposite trend in the number of Sweden older with the significant rise up to 20% from 2000 to 2020, following the period with a slow drop by appropriately 2%. Surprisingly, it is estimated to bounce back to the main climbing trend in the next period until the 2040s.
Meanwhile, the figure of aged Japanese population has experienced the decrease from 5% to 3% in the first 10 years of the period, remaining the latter figure in the next 20 years and being predicted to skyrocket and pass the two other countries in the 2030s.
This ends my report.
