Alright, the first thing I should mention is that I am so proud to be a Vietnamese young people, a heroism nation having more than 4 thousand years of history during which my ancestors has defeated a range of enemies. As you know, being considered as a third world country, Vietnam is on the way of developing by following the direction of a unique Communist Party which is founded by Uncle Ho. I suppose I should highlight the fact that Uncle Ho has cited 3 major obstacles of our state: colonist, famine and illiterate which are equivalent to 3 sectors: national defense, economy and education.
Initially, I guess that we might begin to see the changing on the safety policy in comparison to the past. In fact, the worry on the frontier is the hottest topic after some sensible activities of the giant neighbor China who has been the tra***ional invader. In my perspective, Vietnam prepared willing to make friend with all other countries in basing on a good will of cooperation, friendship and equality.
As well as this, I could say that enrich the mother land is the only way to possess a glorious position in the world podium. I would predict that we will most likely build a modern infrastructure system which contains various skyscrapers, highway system, nuclear power station, international harbors and airports, export production zones, international free trade zones… and maybe an ASEAN trade centre. In ad***ion, it looks quite probable that we are going to take the major role in the zone in many sectors in exploiting the nature, culture and human resources. For example: a tourism centre of the zone where the guest could discover almost cultures and costumes of Asia or plunge in nature monuments; an international intermediate port which link the West and the East, the North and the South… It seems to me that industry and services sectors will rocket faster than agriculture, especially high-tech industry. Moreover, Vietnam will become a considerable location in the globalization economy map.
In ad***ion to what I have just said, it could even be possible that we will see the arrival of a humanity education that teach young people less knowledge and more skill; that bring them practicable lessons; that supply patriotism, loving kindness, compassion, and wisdom; that conduct them to follow a positive, creative life… Actually, Vietnamese people have followed the Confucius education for centuries so they believe certainly that knowledge is the main force to change the world and their life of course.
Sure, I have always an optimistic overview on the future. Follow my experiences and observations; the next generation is intelligent, ambitious to have ability to revolutionize the mother land.



What benefits are advances in technology going to bring us?

All the sciences of human kind are oriented to only one target: make people happier and more perfect. To achieve this goal, technology has demonstrated its role as the child of nature science and human creativity. Obviously there are a number of positive features: make life become comfortable, offer opportunity to self enrich…
I would probably say that for the most part, the one thing that really stands out is that modern technology advances simplify all aspects of our material life. This is favorable because we could finish our work and daily tasks easier and faster than ever before, for example one work day of an officer stars by checking emails, continues by participating an intercontinental conference on uses the satellite and spending spare time to select a new suit for the anniversary by strolling on the informatics highway … Moreover, this is without doubt beneficial because technology takes a lion part of human instruments to conquer the nature, topple the god and decide the destiny, for instance lengthening longevity, treating diseases, creating rain…
As well as this, a further favorable aspect would be that telecommunication, modern transportation and astronomy are revolutionizing our manufacture technique; as a result the world is a level playing field where all competitors have an equal opportunity. That is the reason why emerging countries consider globalization as a major external feature of their economy development. This is surely a positive feature because the fair and transparent concurrence encourage the development nonstop of every factors as Thomas Friedman has forecasted in detail some aspects of this tendency like outsourcing, workflow software, supply chaining… in his bestseller “The World is Flat - a brief history on the twenty first century”.
*****m up, besides two issues that I have cited, there are numerous benefits of progresses in technology sector that influence on every side of human life and the position of technology as an useful instrument is being consolidated.


In your opinion, could these advances in technology also cause some problems?

Well first of all, you might or might not be aware that every penny has two sides and this issue is not an exception. Besides a range of advantages, it is clear that most people would agree on some drawbacks such as environment and humanity problems.
I guess the most impractical characteristic would be that the life modernized by automation, specialization and other science products is one of variety reasons of the deterioration of life style and human core values. Not surprisingly, a young Vietnamese pupil wears American clothes, eats Thailand rice, rides Japanese motorbike, speaks English and sings Korean songs… all are foreigner from teeth to toe except only one thing domestic as this personage admits: I am Vietnamese. This is a typically image of teenager in the globalization epoch when culture values are immigrated and merged so fast. This is an obvious weakness because the material thinking poisons and destroys the mystic spirit that distinguishes human beings to another animal. For example, people fabric the boom or other weapons to attack each other and destroy the nature as the same time as scientists explore the TNT or nuclear energy.
Supplementary to this, a further handicap may be that mother earth is crying for help in facing the nature extra exploitation and environment pollution of human activities. This fact can be a hassle for the reason that the nature riches are limit in comparison to the greed of humankind. Furthermore, if this globe is considered as our common house where we find out the food in the kitchen forest, the water in the tank river… then we are so impolite to consider everywhere as our recycle bin and toxin everything by our garbage. As you will reap what you will sow, people acquire more and more suffering such as natural catastrophe, serious and strange diseases, food and air poisoned…
Sincerely, I admit that I could not list all disadvantages of science consequences like Einstein, the world contemporary biggest scientist, said: “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupi***y; and I’m not sure about the universe.” Nevertheless, as you know, among a range of human activities, technology play the role of an instrument in human hand. Consequently, we cannot blame this science fruit as the cause of these disadvantages instead of accuse the avariciousness and the foolishness of humankind.


What are the biggest problems that the world’s going to face over the next few years?

Well you know, talking about the future is always interesting because it requires numerous information on the present and on the trend of the future. Obviously we can say there are quite a lot of dangers that the entire world is going to face such as war, famine, catastrophe, inequality… due to the globalization and as human spirit problems.
At the outset, the most crucial predicament is the dreadful side of globalization and economy development. Actually, the unifying of the whole world is the greatest global trend since a few decades and become certainly alarming because it covers all 3 major aspects of human activities in the nearest future: environment, economy and society. Moreover, this tendency sustains the negative matters like epidemic disease, economy crisis, and social disaster… to spread faster and stronger all over the world.
Equally worrying is spiritual evils that is the cause of all human troubles since Adam and Eva’s epoch. In fact, if we have enough time and patience to analyze all awful things that people has done from thousand years, we could recognize the fact that mental illness is the core reason of stupid activities. Return to the present, the problem of globalization would be easily resolved if people could balance 3 poles of the development economy triangle: environment, economy, society. However, human follow always the material desires to not respect 2 others factors. That is the reason why I consider our mind sickness as the most important origin of every problem and then this item is certainly the deepest and greatest problem of human beings until the doomsday.
As conclusion, when we find out what are wrong, we have the chance to ameliorate it by beginning to improve our inside and equilibrating our behavior.

Well, you know, the first thing I should mention is that I come from Viet Nam, which is a country with the fast growing economy in the recent years. From my perspective, in the next few decades, my country will change over to positive directions. As well as that, I could say that because of hard-working and creative Vietnamese people, our country’s economy in 2050 will develop 10 times faster than today.[FONT=&quot] Another point which I could add is that[/FONT] our living standard will be improved, the infrastructure will be enhanced, the social will develop and people’s awareness will highly increase.So actually, with the patriotic tra***ion of Vietnamese people, our independence will be certainly maintained and all enemies who want to invade Vietnam will be completely defeated.

Well,you know, beside undeniable advantages of technology advancements, they may still cause some problems. The first thing I should metion is that you can see obviously is environmental pollution. This is due to the fact that, with the strongly development of science and technology, factories, machines and the economy have been growing more and more quickly but environmental pollution has not been paid enough attention to. And as the result, many places in the world have heavily polluted because of the factory waste accumulating in the water, air and land in a long time. In ad***ion to this, the living con***ions of many animals are destroyed so they are in danger of extinction. So actually ,scientists have found a very large and dangerous hole in the ozone layer which protects us from ultraviolet rays and the reason for this problem is the CFC exhaust emission from factories.

Well,you know the world is more developing and is going to face with the biggest problems over the next few years.From my perspective, one of the biggest problems that the world will face is environmental pollution.This is due to the fact that with the strongly development of science and technology, factories, machines and the economy have been growing more and more quickly but environmental pollution has not been paid enough attention to. As a result, students spend an hour searching information and then, they use only Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, Ctrl+S for finish their exercises. In conclusion, students can plagiarize easily due to advances in technology, and then they will not develop their critical thinking skills. [/FONT]

Second, you might not know this but petroleum powers 96% of the transportation on the planet and is the key ingredient in plastics and fertilizers; therefore, petroleum is one of reasons for the war. Because, we know that the reason of war on Iraq is oil.[/FONT]

Well, I suppose if I had to describe Vietnam in the next few decades, the first thing I would say is that Vietnam will be a country of perfection and comfort. We have a modern traffic system without traffic jam . In ad***ion, Viet Nam will have high speed railway from Ha Noi to Ho Chi Minh city. Maybe, Tolich river are renovated and becomes the most beautiful river of Vietnam. Trường SA and Hoàng Sa are confirmed to belong to our country.

Well you know, The advances in technology bring us many benefits. With modern machine, People can do their work more effectively. Therefore, workers may have more time for their family and enjoy different entertainment services. Besides, If we have a progressive technology, We can build a good health protection system. Since that, people will be received the best care and many intractable diseases may be cured. So actually, We can say, the advances in technology make our life more convenient and comfortable.

3. In your opinion, could these advances in technology also cause some problems?

Of course, You know, every thing has two opposite sides: positive and negative aspects.
The advances in technology also cause some problems. First, If every thing can be done by machines, people will have to do nothing. Therefore, many workers may be out of their job. On the other hand, Our environment are also polluted because of using technology incorrectly.

4. What are the biggest problems that the world's going to face over the next few year?

In my opinion, The biggest problems that the world's going to face over the next few year are Global Warming and Peak Oil . As you can see, All these fossil fuels that we are burning up is spewing carbon dioxide in the air, which prevents sunlight from getting out and causes the Earth to warm up. Besides, Our whole civilization is based on Oil. It is nonrenewable, and the world is near the halfway point. This means that in the years ahead, while demand for oil soars, production of it will decline. This will result in all sorts of havoc if we are not prepared for it
