Along with the rapid development of society, more and more issues are brought to our attention, one of which is how the government spends money on sports. A majority of people take the view that government should spend money for sports on providing facilities for the general population. Nevertheless, there are some people who strongly hold the opinion that it is important to invest money in training top athletes to win major competitions. In this essay, firstly, I will give some explanations to show the benefits of two above ideas, then I will present my point of view about this issue.
If local governments focus on building stadiums, swimming pool…, all people can do exercise everyday. Therefore, their health might be improved. Besides, many other activities, such as aerobic can prevent women from overweight and keep their fitness. Moreover, children may have opportunities to take part in many sport activities, such as swimming, soccer, badminton…, so they are trained teamwork and the spirit of fair play.
However, there are many benefits if the government invests money to train top athletes. By doing that, they will win major competitions. Indeed, many professional gets high ranking in many sport conferences. For example, Vu Thi Huong was awarded gold medal at the 24th Sea games in athletics. That high achievements make people feel proud of their country. In ad***ion, famous sportspeople can be good role models for the population as a whole. For instance, Lance Amstrong is an American former professional road racing cyclist who is best known for winning the Tour de France a record seven consecutive times, after having survived testicular cancer. Besides, the successful athletes will help your country become well- known.
From my own perspective, the government ought to use national budget in developing public sport services to improve health of everyone. Certainly no other reason in my decision is more crucial than the one as follow. The health of all people is the foundation for sustainable development of a country. In contrast, if the government only concentrates on training the athletes, people will think that the winning is the most important.
From what has been discussed above, we may finally draw the conclusion that it is more important for the government to spend money on developing the construction of community sports than training top athletes. Because sport activities will improve health for everyone and motivate people to fulfill their jobs. Therefore, the country will become more prosperous.

There are many advantages when a country holds a major sports competition. Firstly, the country’s reputation will increase. There are more foreign tourists and athletes coming to the country to participate in the event. This is also the chance to exchange culture to raise friendship among countries. The country will gain more money from investment as well as tourism and other businesses. It create more job for their people. Secondly, a lot of new facilities are built such as stadiums, sport centers. This contributes to the nation’s sports development.The host athletes become more confident when competing in their home country. Moreover, the host country will have more experiences in holding an international event.
On the other hand, holding a major sport competition may cause some problems. It requires many complex procedure when organizing an event. Furthermore, because of the huge number of people coming into the country, it will face many security risks such as terrorism, illegal business and criminals. Traffic in these days get more complicated with congestions and increases the number of accidents.
I personally believe that it is good for a country to hold an international event. It goes without saying that its advantages outnumber the disadvantages. A country should host a major sports competition when they have opportunity.

Some people claim that the travel development brought about intensify of the number of tourist. They bring the differences unable to accept. Automaticaly, the local inhabitant have a hostility instead of promoting mutual cultural background. Nevertheless, this view should be rejected as we can remove that contrast and one can see many facts in favour of this development between countries.

There are numerous reasons why I hold this opinion, and I would explore a few of the most important ones here. International travel opens up opportunities for business development throughout the world. The international trade is rocket drammatically. In ad***ion to this, the market of the companies are not only limited in a national scale but also expanded all over the world. However, in order to creat con***ion for cooperation, both vistors and local should have useful actions such as locals should show their hospitality to visitors and foreigners should learn the culture of a country before winning over the local people. As society develops, people are attaching much importance to how government should spend amount of money for sporting to achieve the highest effect. Some people believe that it is better for governments to spend any available money for sports on providing facilities for the general population and others say that instead they should invest in training top athletes to win major competitions.
If governments spend money on building swimming pools, play grounds, stadiums, gymnasiums…, a majority of people will improve their health because that encourages everyone to do exercise, make the body stronger and practice their hobbies. Moreover, collective sports make people enhance solidarity and teamwork.
Nevertheless there is an opinion that governments should invest in training top athletes. When athletes have success, they are going to bring the pride to their nation, improve the position of country in the world and they are good examples for people about determination, persistence, courage, optimism, never surrender and always try to honour. In some cases, we are proud of Ngo Huu Ky Phong and Le Thanh Cong, who are Vietnamese athletes, won the gold medal at the Special Olympics World Summer Games ATHENS 2011. Barack Obama, President of the USA, said that "Special Olympics, as a champion for people with intellectual disabilities, teaches our nation and our world that no physical or mental barrier can restrain the power of the human spirit.”
From my own perspective, investing in sports is extremely important and both views are correct, but I think that using money for all people to participate in sport is more essential because this increases human health and also it means that people have opportunities to show their passion and talent for sport. Perhaps some of them will become top athletes in the future.

Infrastructure upgrade though building transportation system, stadium system… Beside, the major sport competition attracts large foreign tourists though travel, hotel and shopping. To organize the major sports competition also creates more jobs and promoting the national image.

However, there are more foreign tourist come to country in a sort time lead to environmental pollution increasing and social evils.

From what has been discussed above, we may finally draw the conclusion that it is good for country to host a major sports competition. Because, the economic development is the most important and the limited of the foreign tourist increasing only in the sort time
