Do you think it is better to send criminals to jail or let them receive education or job training?

In our time and age, much debate has taken place about whether it is better to put criminals in prison or allow them to get education or occupational training. Some people are concerned that individuals break the law must be sent to jail, in order that they no longer do wicked things and contaminate law-abiding citizens. Nervertheless, there are a majority of people who have the idea that imprisonment is a less effective kind of punishment and some alternatives, perhaps give more advantages. From my own perspective, imprisonment is only considered as the last resort.
As you can see, education is an essential factors to reform offenders. In my opinion, in an environment without good education, it is easy for a person to become a criminal. With a low level of knowledge, he isn't able to distinguish good things and bad things in society and control him activities that have serious influences on society. Therefore, offenders should be received education with the aim that they can recognize their faults and make a wise decision that they will accept the rehabilitaton of society in order to start a new life like a good person. Furthermore, education allows criminals to keep in touch with the community as well as make an opportunity that all prisoners are normally deprived of. In ad***ion to this, education also prevents them from indigne impacts arises from offenders's peer group, because by getting education in a secure environment, criminals have lower chance of re-offending.
Likewise, work is also an important resort for offenders to train themselves. It is said that the devil makes work for idle hands. If a person doesn't have a job to make sure his living, sooner or later he will do things have negative influences on other people. On the other hand, money is living aim for criminals and the most important in their life. Consequently, they defied all things to make a lot of money though those things are illegal. Job training enables them to acquire earning capacity and become good citizens. Thanks for vocational training, offfenders have an opportunity to behave normally towards their family or society and society will lose these productive members.
However, to special criminals, who have committed offences repeatedly and shown little repentance, education and occupational training might not make any remarkable difference. In this case, the best way to improve them is imprisonment. Be put in prison offenders aren't affected by social temptations. Then, jail is considered as an invisible wall that it isolates criminals from the outside world.
From what has been discussed above, we may finally draw the conclusion that imprisonment is only actually effective for habitual offenders who are very likely to commit repeated acts of violence. On the contrary, education and job training are pretty suitable for those who committed less serious crimes, preventing them from becoming re-offenders after setting free.

Along with the development of society, more and more problems are brought to our attention, one of which is that how the government spend amount of money on sports.
There are many opinions given on this issue.A sizable percentage of people take the view that the government should invest in equipment for all the people. On the other hand, there are also some people who strongly hold the opinion that government should focus on developing professional athletes to achieve the highest achievements in major competitions.
There are many reasons given when people say the Government should invest in facilities for everyone despite not being a professional athlete. As you know, growing society led to the rise of the dreaded disease. In modern society, sport is an important factor to improve health and prevent diseases such as obesity, depression ...Moreover,the sports team is training for the spirit of solidarity, collaboration skills. In any team sport, elements of solidarity is most important to win.
Nevertheless, the government invest in training professional athletes to achieve their high performance in the tournament also brings many advantages.Firstly, the athletes will feel victory is as important as how even the winner himself.Secondly, the outstanding athlete will bring pride to their own country, and of course they also contribute to bringing his country reached a new height.
Yet I am one of many people who feel that the government had better invest a large sum of money on sports equipment to the majority of people can exercise It brings benefits to all people and their country.
Once you have known all of these, you must agree with me that sports not only keeps people healthy but also passion. Governments will have the right decision to use the money for both top athletes and ordinary population.

Em là Nguyễn Linh Khang - E49, nộp bài Writing
Topic: Some people belive it is better for governments to spend any availble money for sports on providing facilities for the general population. Others believe that instead they should invest in training top athletes to win major competions. Discuss both points of view and give your own opinion.

There is no denying the importance of developing sports, but with the limited budget, governments can’t spend too much money on it. Consequently, they have to consider and choose the most useful sport projects to carry out.
A sizable percentage of people hold the view that it is good for a government to spend most money on training top athletes, who have achieved goals and who have many prospects of achieve more. Firstly, it is amazing and proud when we see our excellent athletes with the medals or the cups on his hands, standing under the nation flag. In ad***ion, our country will become more popular with the others in the world. Finally, many people will admire successful national athletes and try to play sports hard like their idols. They may become successful athletes or at least, healthy people.
On the other hand, spending money only on top athletes also results in some problems. It will arise thoughts that winning is the most important thing, but cooperation or attempt. Moreover, athletes who have never achieved goals before will have little support from government. For these reasons, many people believe that governments should invest available money on sport projects, which focus on encouraging everyone to play various sport forms. Sports help us become healthier, more flexible, fitter and happier.
Yet I am one of many people feel that the money helping everyone to take part in sports is the most valuable. This support of governments leads to a strong population with health, positive and sensible attitude.
From what has been discussed above, we may finally draw the conclusion that sports are essential to everyone, so it is much better for governments to spending money for sports for the general population. The strong population creates the strong nation.

Nguyen Hong Van - E45

Crime always has been a considerable problem of public concern. However, the question that whether government should send criminals to jail rather than providing education or job training is still a controversial issue. In my opinion, I agree that educating and training criminals to become useful individuals for society is the best choice.
There are several reasons why people are easy to commit a crime or return to jail. The main causes of crime are poverty, unemployment and lack of education. People who commit crimes often have no other way of making a living. Secondly, the prison system can make the situation worse. Offenders mix with other criminals who can be a negative influence. Finally, more difficult make a criminal record finding a job. As a result, many prisoners re-offend when they are released.
Despite the above arguments, I believe that we should give the criminals another chance to mend their way by offering them education or skill training. I totally fell strong about giving an education or vocational training, which can benefit themselves and be favorable to whole society, instead of letting them stay in prisons and do nothing. In ad***ion, putting people in prison too long could make them feel despair to the world and cultivate the negative view of their life. It is meaningless to let them back to society after they complete a term of imprisonment. Hence, government should conduct the criminals from the positive way by using education so that they can rehabilitate and help them not to return to jail after unable to adapt to a life outside.
In conclusion, providing education and job training to criminals is obvious effect than simply sending criminals to prisons.

Along with the development of society, more and more problems are brought to our attention, one of which is that how economic development and environmental protection interrelate. Quite a few hold the view that there will be no economic target unless the environment is not sacrificed. On the other hand, there are also most people who strongly maintain that there are a couple of complementary components, if operated properly. After careful consideration of the above reasons, I, personally, agree with the second opinion. There are numerous reasons why I hold this opinion, and I would explore a few of the most important ones here.
The first reason that can be seen by every person is that the environmental conservation will creat the economic development in long term. For businesses, large or small, taking environmental consequences seriously can impel them to improve their production lines, make optimal use of materials and resources and increase the profit margin. For instance, the adoption of environmentally friendly equipment can reduce waste, minimise pollution, and decelerate the depreciation rate of machinery. Meanwhile, it can reduce businesses' expen***ure in compliance with environmental standards.
There is a further more subtle point we must consider is that protecting environment is also synonymous with boosting loyalty of employees, who have an appreciation for the safety and comfort of their working environment.
A more essential factor why I advocate the argument is that by adhering to environmental standards, industries will also make a favourable impression on their clients, build up word of mouth reputation and trigger sales.Nowaday, with the environmental pollution, the phenomenon of climate change is making people gradually lose patience when everyday face with the significant pollution of the air, water… and the heating up of the Earth. Therefore, when a business has the environmental protection activities they will be highly appreciated. The businesses need to realize that the expense of improving equipment is temporary, and can be paid off by forthcoming profits.
Finally, the incomparable advantage of this view is that the standard of living also include the environmental quality issues. Thus, we ourselves reduced our standard of living when making the environment polluted. Consequently, in company with growing economy, we have to necessarily care about the environment. Many nations of the world have currently strategies for sustainable development. They show more willingness to invest in forest conservation, as their industries rely less on natural resources and have become service-oriented.
From what has been discussed above, we may finally draw the conclusion that economic development and environmental protection are not inimical, but complementary. They are inextricably intertwined, and can be promoted simultaneously.
