In recent years, there are more and more wild animals standing at the verge of extinction because of the uncontrollable hunting. Therefore a lot of animal protection projects have been launched to raise these animals’ number. Some people suggest that the spending should be diverted to improving the standard of living in the poorest region. In evaluating the merit of animal protection, one should think about long-term factors. If a lot of wild animals are disappeared, we will pay the cost much more than the payment of animal protection today.

These is little doubt, first of all, animals is a significant part of the ecosystem, which impacts directly or indirectly to our living. All animal play the equal role in food chains. When a species are disappear or decrease in number, it will influence to the amount of others standing near them in the food chain. For example, when the quantity of cat in an agriculture area drop significantly, there are a lot of rat going to breed. This affects directly not only production in this season, but also to the living of population in this area. Keeping the natural balance is our responsibility because we ourselves accounted in these imbalances in the past.

Another fact support animal protection is that our progresses in health care today have a remarkable contribution of wild animals. Each animal has a different gene which identifies their strength and weakness. There is also some species having similar gene to people, which are used in the laboratory. Experiments with animals; for example: monkey or mouse; help scientist find out the remedy for new diseases. Others are seen as a medicine such as stag –horn. There is not the reason we hunt them uncontrollable, but the why we have to preserve them to keep natural resources for future generation.

Summarize, one can subscribe to the notion that animals are the key role in the ecosystem and have big contribution for our life. Protecting animals mean that we are protecting the environment for ourselves and our children.

Violence in society has always been a considerable matter of public concern. However, the question of whether or not police should be armed is still a controversial issue. There are, therefore, people on the both sides of the debate who are either for or against.

On the one side, it is argued by some people that the image of armed police stimulates the unsafe feelings among the public. This leads to situations that civilians want to arm themselves with a personal weapon. With this liberal gun ownership, people would commit murder then use self-defense as an excuse. Moreover, if not educated well, an adolescent will easily tend to carry guns and easily become a prospective criminal in the society. Therefore, building an image of unarmed police is very essential to decrease the level of violence.

Yet those who are opposed *****ch a stance would contend that the police must be armed, especially in heavy criminal areas, as offenders here are extremely dangerous, and whose minds cannot be changed by just educational programs. Hence, armed police is a vital force to fight against criminals and maintain the peace for these regions. For instance, a habitual law-breaker will continue to commit a crime without physical punishment.

From what have been discussed above, arming the police should be restricted and apply only in violent criminal regions. Besides, the government may impose specific issues in gun ownership as well as educate citizens about this law

Topic 63: Some people think that killing animals for food is cruel, but others claim that animals are a necessary part of diet. What's your opinion?
It is undisputable fact that people nowadays put an eye on animals more than they did in the past. As a result, once animal rights are got human attention, there is an increasingly growing popular claim that raising and butchering livestock for human consumption is so cruel; while there are some people hold the view that animals are indispensable to our diets. I am totally convinced by the latter view.

First and foremost, animals, as a significant part of an ecosystem, like mankind, have rights to live and give birth. As well as that, living in the era of science and technology, it is said that we can still alive with artificial drugs. Two things combined, some people think that we should stop killing animals for our foods and end up with some artificial vitamins providing wide range of nutrients, say, vitamin B1, B2, C, protein. Having said that, who can guarantee that such artificial drugs will offer us full range of nutrients needed for our health? Facts have shown that children just taking these artificial drugs can not develop as properly in physical presence and intelligence as the ones getting animals as a part of diet. Even worse, how would the world be if our society are full of people deprived of animal foods? Obviously, the economy would stagnate, the level of knowledge would slowly increase or even decrease,etc. What’s a mess of life!

What is also worth noticing is that most of the meat available in supermarkets for people's consumption is produced by industrial agriculture. In view of the intense use of modern technology and mass production techniques, the produced Livestock, poultry or fish cannot be taken as ordinary animals but only as manufactured goods. By making use of economies of scale to produce enough food at an affordable cost, industrial farming is essential to addressing food supply problems.

All things considered, regardless of any points to the contrary, I can confidently say that there is no reason why livestock or some other animals cannot be used as food. People need animals to ensure sufficient intake of nutrition necessary for one’s health.

Along with the development of society, more and more problems are brought to our attention, one of the important issues for global and humankind is water resources which drop constantly. Although no one can deny the fact that the protection of friendly environment has been paid attention by members of living in the world and the fact that the quality of water reach a satisfied level, we should be aware of overusing and waste water which is life resource for human beings. In the following words, I will provide some information about the reasons of falling water, the result of lacking water and the suggestions.
First of all, there are at least three main reasons in falling global water. It is the first factor that is agriculture and industry using water. There are much many people living in the world and the population in the global scale are rapidly increasing. In order to meet the people's needs, agriculture should be developed and the agricultural water must rise constantly. Moreover, with the development of science and technology, using water on industry demonstrates rising sharply. The second reason is the lack of awareness of protecting water resources. In daily life, most people ignore easily the importance of saving water and cause exaggerated using water. The third one is pollution. By developing modern civilization, water pollution has become a serious problem.
Water is a particular resource in the world and people cannot live without it. It can be imagined that all lives must go to die if the water all polluted. We should protect the water resources and living environment from polluting so that creating a friendly environment and improve the standard of living. In one hand, the government should spread the awareness of water preservation and carry out the laws of protecting environment. And then, people should use all kinds of means to save water in daily life because of the importance. Indeed, water is the treasure of the world. In the other hand, the underdeveloped countries should control the pollution when expanding industry.
In conclusion, in order *****rvive well in the future, humankind should consider deeply protecting water resources. The government should spread the ideas of saving water and establish the laws while citizens should save water in daily life, in my opinion.

From my own perspective, the time and money should be spend equally between animal protecting and helping poorest area of the world.[/FONT]

However, the strategy to improve living standard to meet the basic needs of people in these countries seem to be not enough. Especially in the poorest countries in Africa, instead going to school, children have to work for helping their family. The similar problem also occur in development countries, where the gap between richer and poorer increasing considerably. This fact situation requires the governments need to regarding and attempting in cut off starvation, diseases by investing in people and infrastructures.[/FONT]

Imagine if one specie animal becoming extinct by the destruction their inhabitant of people, this situation will lead to unbalance of ecosystem and it effect seriously on all kinds of animal as well as humanity. With the growth and demonstration of science, animals not only the vital factors in the food chains, but also contribute to the better living con***ion of people. Topic 54: Environmental problems are serious in many countries. It means that the only possible way to protect the environment is at an international level. To what extent do you agree or disagree on this hypothesis?

Along with the development of industrialization and modernization of society, nowadays more and more environmental problems are brought to our concern. As a matter of the fact, countries all over the world should cooperate together to solve this issue more effectively, instead of resolving itself.

It goes without saying that everyone shares the habitat and natural resources, so environmental protection is not that of any individual. Country’s activities which have bad effects on environment can affect other countries, especially its neighbors. For instance, the toxic by wind or the disease through rivers and streams can spread to other countries to influence seriously people’s health. Hence, cooperation across borders creates and expands expert knowledge that is beneficial for the environment, people and society in general.

Moreover, it might also be noted that the role of rich nations in the partnership in environmental matters is very important. As we can see, for poor countries, economic development is of much higher priority for their people than the preservation of the environment. Rapidly growing population and poor economies in these countries necessitate further exploitation of resources and then cause the environmental degradation. Thus, rich countries should have financial support and held some movements to raise people’s understanding and awareness for undeveloped countries.

Based on the above discussion and analysis, we can see that collaboration between countries is essential not only for protecting environment, but also for the development of the world. With this way, countries can give the best solutions for common environmental problems and reduce the impacts of human’s activities on habitat.

A majority of people hold the view that we should finance a huge amount of money and time to conserve wild animal; meanwhile others claim that the spending should be diverted to helping human population, especially the most impoverished people. Apparently, the latter view sounds a good idea, but from my own perspective, the investment in the protection of wild animal is worth government funding.


The main reason why animal conservation is important area is that animal is a significant part of an ecosystem, influencing directly to ecological balance for support life and natural balance. Facts have shown that, extermination of species can disrupt links between predators and prey, flowers and pollinators, leading to overpopulation or underpopulation of another species and put this species at the verge of extinction. Moreover, according to many scientists and researchers, the progressive extinction of living wild animals on the planet has arisen as a big environmental change which affects to the existence of human.


What is also worth noticing is that, as an important natural resource, wild animals bring a lot of benefits for human. Today, not only do wild animals contribute remarkably to the development of medicine and drug-making, but they also provides a number of useful products like food, honey, lac, wax and so on. Besides, colorful birds, insects, fishes make environment beautiful, that become the endless inspiration for artists, designers.


Based on the above discussion and analysis, we can see that animals play a key role for balance of ecosystem and interests of humanity. Because humans for their selfish comforts have destroyed wild species extensively, preserving animals is responsibility of the whole world and everybody.​

It’s no denying that, in the trend of rapid urbanization all over the world, urban scrawl has been becoming a controversial debate. While it is deemed as a great advancement in many developing countries, others assert that it is likely to provoke numerous problems to both rural and urban areas. Hence, this essay will elaborate on figuring out the main drivers of this trend and anticipating its probable impacts.

It’s worth noticing that that population growth, technological achievements and the crescent standard of living are the major factors instigating the emerging of cities. First of all, the more populated a city is, the more limited the capacity to provide enough accommodation in the inner city is. Absolutely, the city planners will have to look for areas in the outskirts for building more houses. Furthermore, cars are becoming more affordable and ubiquitous than ever, making transport convenient for those dwelling in suburbia. Thanks to this technological progress, it’s currently no longer an obstacle for dwellers to commute daily between their offices and their residences. Another impetus is the higher expected quality of life, when people are getting higher incomes. Nowadays, they demand a far better living con***ion, with commodious houses and backyards, as well as adequate facilities, such as water supply and disposal, waste management, electricity provision, etc. Since infrastructures of cities are incapable to satisfy their needs, they have no choice but resettle in new-build suburbs, where the facilities are more accessible.

Undoubtedly, the constant enlargement of cities will lead to some consequences in social, economical and environmental aspects. People live quite remote from each other, meaning the social relations between them can be made fragile by the spatial isolation. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that there are more and more people feeling lonely and despondent in their own houses. In the respect of economy, the cost of relocation of a huge population in suburbs will put an immense pressure on the government’s budget. Moreover, as for environmental perspective, the high traffic volume mainly using cars will result in grave air pollution, and the expansion of suburban area will diminish lands that should be used for agriculture or forestry.
