Topic 83: Some people believe that educating children altogether will benifit them. Others think intelligent children should be taught seperately and given special courses. Discuss those two of views.

Obviously, in most cases people need schooling, but the situation of every single student is different. Some students are wise and could learn everything in a minute, while some others can hardly gain knowledge even by teaching them repeatedly. Therefore, with the aim to produce elite students, shools now endeavour to gather children of special talents and offer them special courses. There are both advantages and disadvantages to this educational philosophy.
Teaching intelligent students separately would be of great advantage to both students and teachers. One the one hand, it can greatly boost the studying of intelligent students and extend their potential ability. Without wasting time on repeating again and again, intelligent students can go deeper on the path of pursuing knowledge. Discussions with smart companions in a competitive atmosphere can stimulate their power and spirits. On the other hand, teachers also benefit from it. They do not need to consider those students who fall behind. A teacher is somewhat similar to a tailor. They can only make one shirt, and everyone in the talent class would fit.
However, separate education also comes with disadvantages that should not be overlooked. Firstly, it is not good to culture good characteristics. Some students in the talented class would have a sense of superiority, and then they would be proud and despise peers at a more common level. Also, intelligent students would not play a good role in a work group in their future. Evidently, they would get used to cooperating with smart partners, and there would not be such partners in their future.
In the view of arguments outlined above, ability grouping is of great value. It fosters a nutritious environment in which talented students can facilitate their learning process and easily find their pals of the same gift. However, special courses should be open to any willing learner, otherwise, students will feel discriminated.

Chị ơi em Linh Lan E51 nộp bài writing Task 1 ạ:

Topic 3: Average age at marriage in England and Wales

The graph illustrates the trends in the age when people in England and Wales decide to spend the rest of their lives together.

These trends are described through the data of 40 consecutive years from 1961 to 2000 with ten – year distances. In order to show the most objective reviews as well as clearest comparisons, the statistics in graph are collected from both of males and females.
In generally, the everage age of marriage was ascending through the years from 1961 to 2000, except a slight dive between 1961 and 1971. This trend matched with the fact that people desired to get married later than their previous generations. At the beginning of that mentioned period, in 1961, the age at which men got married was around over 26 and for women this figure was 23. In the year 2000, women often married when they was 27 and men often got married at the age of a 5 - year higher than that in 1961.
Although the two lines was not parallel, the distances between two lines showed that in the period from 1961 – 2000, men usually got married 4 – 5 years later than women.
All in all, it was evident that in England and Wales the average age when two people wanted to build their own happy family together was gradually increasing over the period 1961 to 2000.

MicrosoftInternetExplorer402DocumentNotSpecified7.8Normal0The graph shows that there is a differences of people's concept about suitable time to get married in England and Wales.
From 1961 to 2000, males and females in England and Wales decided to extend their single life more. Of course the marriageable age for male always be more than for women. In England and Wale this disparity was 2 to 5 years. Over the period 1961 to 1981 the age at which men gerenally married was 25 to 26, and at women was 23 to 24. However, next 20 years these numbers increased about 10 units. From the line chart, it is clear that the men's average age to get married in 2000 jumped approx to 30 and women's increased to 27. During 40 years which this graphs described, these ages collapse slightly in period from 1961 to 1971. In contrast, in other years these numbers declined markedly after falling. It was projected that the average ages that people chose to create a couple relationship admitted by law will continuous rise in future.
Obvious that, the information in the graphs was revealed about the leaping of average age of marriage for both male and female in England and Wales from 1961 to 2000.

In the current era of technology, machinery has helped people in life, work, study and recreation. In my opinion, computer is one of the most important technologies nowadays. Computer is very useful. Computer can contain information about almost everything in life no matter how big the object is. As a book lover, I used to carry many books with me for reading. Today, with the advancement in technology, I can easily store many books in my laptop and open them whenever I have free time. Not only for books, I often use computer to access internet which allow me to connect with friends and update information. There are many applications available for computer which serves the purpose of chatting and communicating. I prefer Yahoo Messenger above all because of their friendly interface and it is easy to use. Moreover, computer is also a designing tool, my sister a graphic designer who spends most of her time working in front the desktop. I cannot imagine my life without computer technology, because I will not be able to store and organise my files without it. Computer makes almost everything portable.

Ok then, let me introduce my favorite device, this is a laptop which is manufactured by HP Company. This is a great gift of my father when I finished 4 years of study in university so that I have used it for 3 years. Well as you can see every HP Laptop has a beautiful appearance because it serves the segment of officers however its performance is inferior to this of other brands such as IBM or Dell… This machine takes the role of a mini bureau in order to help me to work and to live better so that I consider this instrument as a smart friend. Specifically saying, I usually watch tutorial videos, read eBooks, access information and correspondence in using it. Frankly, I cannot imagine what will be our lives without computers!

Topic 94: Do you think that parents should be punished if their five-year-old child commits a crime? From what age should children be held responsible for their own behaviours?

Parent’s intervention can substantially influence a child’s character and behaviour development. It is an interesting subject of discussion whether parent should be liable for their five-year-old child’s law offending behaviour or even subject to punishment. From my own perspective, parents must claim responsibility.

The first reason that can be seen by every person is that unlike adult, children break the law in the absence of either incentive or motive. The environment where they grow up is one of the factors which have tremendous effect on their acts. Children in formative years are particularly susceptible to whom they meet and what they see in their daily lives. For example, their violent acts are likely to reflect a mixed effect of their repeated exposure to violence. Therefore, parents should act as gatekeepers to prevent their children from watching TV and playing aggressive video games which have the negative effects on them. Once a child uses violence, it reveals that his or her parents should be accountable for their child’s wrongdoing. So, parents should be a positive role model in their child’s lives. More often than not, parents have their own behaviour problems, such as using violence in the face of their children and so forth. As a result, their violent or unlawful behaviour is potentially a replica of their parents. So, when they come of age, they tend to conflict with others. It might also be noted that people are not surprised to see that many delinquent teenagers had unhappy lives and felt disconnected with their lives in which they grew up. In general, 18 is the age when an individual has to be legally responsible for his or her acts. This is an age from which a child is ready for explore life and accepts life responsibilities. For the most part, they are allowed to vole, drive, drink and smoke. They have sufficient experience, knowledge and competence in deciding their lives.

From what has been discuss above, we may finally draw the conclusion that parents should be subject to punishment when their children violate the law, in view of their tremendous influence on their child’s behaviour. It can’t denied that this is their inescapable responsibility until their child comes of age.
