In the race to host the 18th ASIAD, Vietnam is one of the biggest competitor. Like many countries which think that it is good to host a major sports competition such as Olympic, Seagame, Asiad, etc., Vietnam is trying to get a reliable position by 18th ASIAD. However, everything has a good side and a bad side, and hosting a major sports competition is no exception.

Take a view that there are many benefits for a country hosting a great event, especially major sports competition. Firstly, having successful event make the country is well-known in the wider world. Everyone come from all over the world will have impression and that can lead the chance of the development of travelling. Secondly, if a country have enough qualify to host a area-class fact, even a world-class fact, that means it must have the best facilities and equipments, which is a big jump in process of industrialization and modernization of the country.

On the other hand, people think that hosting a major sports competition causes many problems for the country. The most important thing is the matter of national finance. The preparation for a great event like that need to find investor, build or upgrade all structures, advertise and arrange for all athletes, which require a huge finance. Thus, if the government is not able to keep the budget balance, it will cause many economical problems. The next important things are factors of political matters, traffic and security. These are large challenges and difficulty for the host countries.

Despite the fact that there are so many problems of hosting a major sports competition, I strongly support the idea that it is a great opportunity should be hold. In fact, as society develops, hosting a world-class event bring a large political mean and help positing a country. Moreover, it is a chance for national athletes and sport lovers participate in sports. Therefore, it can make people feel proud of their country.

Hedgehog is an animal belonging to rodents and wildlife. They are found in many parts of the world. In Vietnam, they live along the mountainous areas, midlands and forests. A hedgehog is usually weigh from thirteen to fifteen kilogram, body and tail length from eighty to ninety centimeters. Each year, a hedgehog births twice, each time for at least one child, most of three children. Their food are the roots of tree and other types of small insects. Interestingly, this animal has a special coat. On their backs, feathers evolves into hard thorns. These thorns have length from ten to thirty centimeters. When confront enemies, a hedgehog will bristle its spines and create noise to intimidate the enemies. Then, ramies will be release to prod into enemies. Finally, the enemy will die if thorn is not removed. I have seen few hedgehog in the zoo when I was a child. It is surprising because this animal have a way defend itself very unique.

The tiger is the largest member of the cat family. It is native to much of eastern and southern Asia, and known as a fearful predator. A mature tiger can reach up to 3.3 metres in total length, weight up to 300kg. Aside from their great bulk and power, their most recornisable feature is a pattern of dark vertical stripes that overlay the orange fur. Tigers have a lifespan of 10-15 years in the wild, but can live longer than 20 years in captivity. They are highly adaptable and range from the Siberian taiga to the huge grassland. Nowaday, some of the tiger’s subspecies have gone extinct and the remains are classifield as endangered. The primary direct causes are habitat destruction and hunting.
Istill remember the first time I see a tiger. I saw it in the zoo, I had got a strong impression on it. Then, I was attracted by many T.V programmes about it. There are some famous people keep tiger as a pet and I wish I can have one. Well you know, it’s awesome.

Cheetah is a land mammal and belongs to the cat. It is a species of big cat but it isn’t as big as lion and tiger. It has elongated body, small head, long strong legs, lissome long back.
Its coat is dotted with black spot. They have black streak which lengthen from the corner of eyes to mouth. This particular helps us discriminate cheetah from other panther.
A special characteristic of cheetah which is different from its brothers is that its claws can not be retractable which provide with better traction when it runs on soft ground.
Most cheetahs live in African nations. Their main food are wild rabbit, bird and chamois. Mother cheetah often bears three little cheetahs once. They live with their mother until they are two years old.
With fine eyes and high speed, cheetah is an awesome predator. I am interested in its speed. According to animal planet, the cheetah can reach speeds of 30m/s, making it the fastest land mammal in the world. When detecting preys, they accelerate like a car from 0 m/s to 27 m/s in just 3 second. However, they can not run in long time because running with high speed need much energy.
Nowadays, the cheetah is threatened and the number of cheetah is declining. People should protect cheetah and their habitat.
