However, some people believe this is at a cost to the planet.
Suggest ways that governments and individuals could tackle the environmental impact of low-cost flights.

In recent years, low-cost airlines are becoming increasingly popular to offer fast and cheap travel for all people. However, some people believe this is at a cost to our planet. This essay will analyze the issue in detail.

Low-cost airlines, also called low-cost carriers, budget airlines... are airlines offering sometimes extremely low prices for plane tickets. It has a lot of advantages and especially it creates many opportunities to people can travel. Therefore, this is a good sign to push the development of aviation. Nevertheless, they also cause many bad impacts on our environment. First off all, like all human activities related to fuel consumption, the operation of aircraft engines will release the gases cause the global greenhouse, soot, and other pollutants into the air. Besides, the reaction products after burning a tetra-ethyl lead (TEL) and can cause soil contamination at airports. In a special report was launched in June 2007 by British Air Line Pilots' Association (BALPA), notably air transport accounts for 2-3% of world CO2 emissions, the aviation becomes one of the reasons causing the warming of the earth.

After careful consideration of the above reasons, I strongly support the idea that governments and individuals should give ways to solve the environmental impact of low-cost flights. The government should encourage airlines to use aircraft consume less fuel. In Vietnam, Jetstar Pacific and the Environmental Protection Fund of Vietnam signed the agreement on the implementation of the program reduce the greenhouse effect. Through this agreement, they called passengers contribute voluntarily to reduce the Carbon Fund for Environmental Protection Fund managers Vietnam.

From what has been discussed above, I believe that we all have an important role for the reduction of emissions causing the greenhouse effect and do our utmost to improve our activities to minimize negative impacts on the environment of low-cost flights.

The diagram shows part of the carbon cycle. The first stage is when nature resources which focus most of carbon are extracted from the earth. This step provides the industry with energy sources. In the next step, fossil fuels, such as oil and coal are used for electricity production, vehicle fuel and goods manufacturing. As a result, after this stage is complete, a large of Carbon dioxide- a form of Carbon is escaped outside. The next step is when trees absorb CO2 . At this point in the cycle, CO2 is used in tree’s photosynthesis process. This step is done in order that Carbon is metabolized into trees. The more plants photosynthesis, the more CO2 are absorbed. Therefore, clearance is a factor which reduces CO2 obsorption. Once the final stage has been completed, trees decay. Plants are buried deeply in the ground over millions of years. By this step, fossil fuel production happens. Having completed all these steps, when people exploit fossil fuel, the carbon cycle begins again.

It can be clearly seen that the trend of this growth is fluctuation over the decade.
In the first year, there was a significant increase from 2% at the beginning of the period to 4% in 1994. However, after that, there was a noticeable decline of growth rate to nearby 3% in 1995. Subsequently, the growth rate of salaries leaped skyrocket and reached a peak over 6% in 1998. Since then, the growth rate of salaries plunged to 3% in 1999. In the next two years, the growth rate of salaries rised and fell erratically nearby 3%. And then, it was slumped to the lowest point at 1% in 2002. In the last year of period, the growth rate of salaries was climbed gradually to 2% which was equal to the growth rate in salaries at the beginning of the period. This ends my report here.

E48: Bài này em ko biết viết thế nào:(

Within the tourism industry, air travel is currently a vital element. Despite the real or perceived threats of global warming, the increase in global flights is growing annually. With air travel at its highest levels to date, in no small part due to the success of Low-cost Airlines, the threat of carbon emissions on global warming appears greater than ever.
Low Cost Airlines have been sceptical of the criticism given to the industry suggesting that aviation is a major cause of climate change. It is obvious that the low cost airlines stimulated a behaviour in the public which is not driven by urgent demands and also not welcome in the context of climate change mitigation.
Certainly, it has also to be considered that with the renewal of the aircraft fleet (newer engines), the increased competition on the market and the higher operation efficiency the environmental damage per passenger kilometres flown decreased. This development would be welcome if not two negative effects would overcompensate it: the more efficient aircrafts do not replace older ones but add to an increasing fleet. If they replace older aircrafts the older ones are often sold to other regions of the world where they are still in use until the end of their typical lifetime of about 30 years.
Generally it is in the interest of airlines and airport companies to reduce energy costs. Respectively also many airports became more energy efficient. However, this effect is usually compensated by the extension of the existing airports and the construction of new airports. Also an aircraft on the ground consumes energy, because it remains air con***ioned and supplied with power during the dispatch between two flights. Energy consumption is moderated (10 L diesel / hour) if a ground based power unit (GPU) is available. Consumption is high if the energy comes from the turbine of the auxiliary power unit (APU) of the airplane itself: e.g. 105 kg kerosene / hour in an Airbus 319, which is often used by LCAs.

Ad***ional energy consumption is caused by the road traffic which is required to transport freight or passengers to the airport. Roads and highways next to airports are often high emission zones for nitrogen oxides, ozone, particles and other air pollutants. Low cost carrier start often from small and new airports. This reduces often waiting times, traffic jam and the local density of emissions. On the other hand such airports are continuously extended and ad***ional high traffic zones are formed which did not exist before.

    1. What do you do to keep fit?
Well, I run about 2 km every day. You know, when you run, you burn a lot of energy that is the best to be fitness. Also, I play football with my colleges once a week after school. It helps us relax and know each other well.
    2. Are you good at sport?
Of course, I think I am not bad at sport. I’m quite shape and fast so I rarely lose in competition. I like team game most. You can know your teammate better and sometimes if you play lonely you will feel boring.
    3. What sports do you play?
Well, to be honest I’m interested in playing football much. It helps me not only keep fitness but also keep in touch with my friends. You have friends whom long time no see. And it’s the best to have a match with them.
    4. What is the most popular sport in your country?
The most popular sport in the world is football and Vietnam, too. Vietnamese people usually watches football league as Premier League, La Liga, Serie A…. at the weekends. And every time Vietnam team have a match and win, the fans go crazy. I still remember when Vietnam won AFF Cup, people go out and have a sleepless night to celebrate the team.
    Part 2:
Actually, I suppose that 1999 UEFA Champions League Final is the best match I’ve ever seen. It took place in Camp Nou, Barcelona on 26th May, 1999. The final was contested by Manchester United and Bayern Munich. My favourite team is Man Utd. I were so nervous because most of the match we have trailed. But with two last-minute goals were scored in injury time, we won and become the European Champion in 1999. It was so fantastic!
    Part 3:
    1. What are the best way to keep fit?
Well, I guess that is doing exercise and playing sport. You can not only improve health but also relax. You can play sport with your friends or team with them to compete the other. It’s so much fun. It help you know each other better.
    2. Do you think most people consider exercise a chore or do they find it fun?
Well, on the one hand, some people consider exercise like a thing every day they must do. They don’t enjoy it but they have to do it to keep fit, lose weight or whatever. On the other hand, some people enjoy it. They feel missing if they don’t do it.
    3. What is the most popular form of exercise in your country?
In my opinion I’s say that it’s morning exercise. You get up at 5 or 6 o’clock and come to places such as Hoan Kiem lake, you’ll see many people not only young but also old, men and women do morning exercise. They play badminton, do aerobic or some old people practice Taichi….
    Healthy lifestyles
    1. Do you think people in your country are less healthier than they used to be?
Well obviously, there are a variety of differences here. However, I guess that the most significant would be that nowadays people spends so much time on computer and mobile phone. And it’s not very good for health. Ad***ionally, it’s difficult to find a place to do exercise or play sports. So people would rather stay at home watch T.V or play computer games than go out because there is nowhere for them to go.
    2. How can you encourage people to stay healthy?
In my view, there are a numbers of actions that could be taken. You can use health slogans to encourage people to eat healthy and stay in shape. Also, you can do through education. Each school should use sports like every subject.
    3. Should governments intervene to force people to be healthier?
Well, I think the governments should operate amateur competition as much as possible to encourage people to join in. With these competitions, people not only improve health but also earn great prizes. The more people participate in, the more they become healthier.
