Em Thu Phương - E53 nộp bài speaking hobbies

http://www.mediafire.com/?pe1jtg5z5bct4s9

PART 1
1.What are your hobbies?
Well, actually, there are many things I love to do. I usually reading comics, going to the cinema, listening to music when I have free time. And if I have a long holiday, of course I can miss the chance to travel.

2.What is your favorite musical instrument?
Ok, I’m quite enthusiastic about piano. I have learned to play piano for 5 years when I was at primary school. And I really like the way it sounds. It’s very beautiful.

3.Do you prefer action films or comedies? Why?
Of course I think I’d have to say that I like comedies much. I guess the main reason is it makes me feel relax and definitely make me laugh. Besides, action movies usually show too much violence and they are also a little bit noisy which sometimes cause tired and stress

4.Do you think it is important to read novels and poetry? Why?
Certainly I would definitely say that it’s very necessary with everyone. It not only helps people nurture their soul but also teach them about human being. To add to this, it let people stay away from social evil and may reduce crime rate especially in the youth.

PART 2
Describe a hobby you enjoy.
You should say:
How long you have been doing it
How often you do it
What benefits you get from it
And explain why you enjoy it.

Well, I guess that generally speaking I would certainly say that I love reading comics most. To be honest, the first book I have read is a comic. That’s when I was three years old. I know it is weird but it’s memorable with me. And till now, reading comics become an usual habit. When I studied at school, I have more free time so I borrow comics from library everyday and enjoy myself with a wide range of them. But now, I’m quite busy to seeking a job. Therefore I don’t allow me to read to much. I only waiting a new chapter of my favourite comics everyweek. It could be said thai the biggest advantage I have from these comics is optimistic. They help me look at the bright side. Whenever I have something unhappy, a comedy comic can make me laugh and forget all of that stuff. In ad***ion to, they can let me broaden my mind in variety of section. These knowledges are even easier to remember than those are taught at school. However, the main thing which make I love it most is I find it so attractive and each story is a valuable lesson about life. It can touch my emotion gently. And I simply adore the way it does.

PART 3
HOBBIES
Do you think men and women tend to have different types of hobbies?
Of course I think I’d have to say that men and women often have opposite characteristic. As a result, their hobbies are quite different. For example, men always love sport such as surfing, hiking, skating,… in which they can prove their strength and feel more confident in front of their friends especially his lovers. However, women prefer to learn something lighter which can show their talent, their elegance, their feminineness. And there is a fact that most of them choose to learn a certain field of music.

Why do some people get obsessed with their hobby?
I suppose the reason has something to do with the fact that they do it or think about it so much that they become a part of their lives. When people have enough free times and can afford for their hobbies, they can make mistake easily. They will enjoy their selves with their hobbies without thinking about consequences. If they are bad hobbies, it’s very dangerous. Once they stick with it, they can’t give it up. And they are also like addictions.

Do you think hobbies that keep you fit are better than hobbies that you can do sitting down?
Certainly I would definitely agree with this. Of course if everyone can find it interesting in outdoor activities or sports, it’s very helpful. Going out, breath the air, or move your body will let you feel more healthy. Besides, it’s also help you communicate with other people and avoid being lonely. On the other hand, watching TV or playing video game only lead people to disease, obesity and the most dangerous effect is limit relationship which make people can’t improve theirselves.

FREE TIME
Do you think it can be a disadvantage to have too much free time?
Of course, having more free time in today modern life is wonderful but too much free time is not good. Nowadays there are many hi-tech products which attract millions people all over the world. Having more times can make them waste their money more in those stuffs and people can become far away from real life. To add to this, some people can use their time for bad purpose or other useless thing not their family. So society even can be worse.

Should people feel a duty to do something constructive in their free time?
Well, to be honest I should really say that people should do that. There are many types of hobbies. Many hobbies are good for people lives but there are some bad hobbies which make people become worse and worse. There is a fact that not everybody like doing something for their community. They use their free time to serve their own purposes. So if they find it responsible to do something for public, the world will be better and people will not waste their life time for that useless stuff.

Do people have more free time now than in the past?
Well in general I would say that today people have released from hard manual labour. Modern technologies do that for them. They no longer wash their clothes, their dishes, clean the house,… There are many machines help them. To add to this, today life is so comfortable with full of facilities and people don’t be worried about foods, water or other neccesities. Beside working hours at office, people have more time to do what they want while in the past, they were always busy to afford their lives.

What kind of town did you grow up in?
As you can see, my hometown is Ha Noi, and you minght not know this but Ha Noi, is the capital in Viet Nam, is very modern and bustling with the impressive skyscrapers and the boisterous amusement parks. However, I have lived in a farmhouse with my family in the suburbs, so you know it is quite peacefull and tranquil. Another significant characteristic is that my neighbours are very friendly and generous so they always help together as having a difficulty.
2. Where would you like to live?

4. What sort of TV programmes do you like watching?
Certainly I would definitely say that I’m actually quite keen on watching TV, but in particular I would probably have to say that I’m really into News and Current affairs, you know, things like America News. 5. What is your greatest fear?
Well to be honest, I absolutely loathe rats. In my opinion, it is common knowledge that rats are the ***iest and sliest Rodent I have seen, so you probably know, with their sharp and stinking set of teeth, they can damage everthing. To be more precise, I really can’t stand rats and actually, I will feel terror- stricken if I see it acrossing.
6. Which living person do you most admire?
Well as you can probably guess I really admire my primary teacher and you might not know this but when I was a chid I even thought that she was too strict with us as she always punished us very hard when we just made a small mistake. However, actually, I suppose that for the most part I’d probably say that we’ve realized her punishments made us more obedient, more hard- working, more responsible and so on. Therefore, now, we all are very gratefull for her educating. Well in actual fact, she not only often gives free lessons to poor children in the village but also dominates a few local charity funds to help more unfortunate people. And definitely, they are always moved by the solicitude of her.
7. What is your most precious object?
In fact, in all honesty, I always keep my watch which my father bought for me when I passed with flying colours at The University Entrance Exam carefully. Well in general, I would say that it’s my most rewarding present after my pulling out all the tops for a period of twelve years.
8. What sort of place do you live in now?
Actually to be fair, there are four of us living together in a sharedhouse within the city. We all are the students of The National Economic University and you probably know that although we, sometimes, have some different opinions, actually, we still get along with together.

PART 1
1,What are your hobbies?
Well, I am quite enthusiastic about reading books and listening to music. I suppose although these hobbies are simple, they are very therapeutic. I often listen to music by my cell phone when I’m on the way to school and usually spend most of my weekend reading. In fact, I always do these activtities alone because none of my friends have the same hobbies with me.

2,What is your favorite musical instrument?
Well, I would say the type of musical instrument I like most is piano. It is probaly because it sounds make the rhythm become more beautiful. In ad***ion to this I suppose piano is one of few musical instruments that can be played alone but the performance is still so wonderful. My favourite pianist is Richard Claydemend, I have a huge collection of his CDs.

3,Do you prefer action films or comedies? Why?
Well, to be honest, I’m keen on comedies because the hilarity in comedies really helps to entertain. Ad***ionally, comedies are also meaningful and help me learn about social life. On the other hand, I can’t stand action films which contain many violent factors such as car racing, murders and suicide bombing, these things are terrible and make me sick.

4,Do you think it is important to read novels and poetry? Why?
well, it is my belief thatnovels and poetry are both forms of art that not only enhance your artistic sense but also improve your language ability. That is the reason why people should be encouraged to read novels and poetry. However, if you are not interested in them but you are required to read, you eventually gain nothing. Therefore, people should do it as a hobby instead of a boring task.

PART 2
Describe a hobby you enjoy.
You should say:
How long you have been doing it
How often you do it
What benefits you get from it
And explain why you enjoy it.
Well, in my spare time, I am keen on reading books. My first book was a poem collection of author Tran Dang Khoa when I was a 7 year old girl, so that I would say I have been reading for nearly 13 years. I often read every weekend and I have spent most of my summer vacations reading books. I usually read at home, however, sometimes I come to the library to borrow rare books which can’t be found in any bookshop. Well, to be honest, I am quite a big fan of gothic novels, it is the mode of literature that combines the elements of both horror and romance. My favourite novel is The sound and the Fury written by William Faukner. In ad***ion, I am also enthusiastic about psychological books, because my mother is a psychoanalyst and she gave me many interesting documents. In fact, somet books I read have quite complicated content, but they are also enjoyable. So that I suppose the main reason for my passion is the excitement of getting new information everytime I read. Another factor is that, reading helps to entertain so much, it makes me feel relaxed after heavy load of assignments. About the benefits that reading brings to me, well, you might agree with me that reading requires great concentration and deep analysis so that, I believe this hobby improves my imagination, my language ability as well as provides me with a wide range of precious and useful knowledge.

PART 3
HOBBIES
1,Do you think men and women tend to have different types of hobbies?
Well, from my point of view, men and women usually have different hobbies due to their different concerns. While men are keen on sports, women often spend their free time for fashion and shopping. However, in modern society, many standards are changing. For example, women nowadays pay more attention to playing sports even dangerous sports and men care more about their appearances. Besides, there are some types of hobbies that can be shared by both males and females such as reading and listening to music.

2,Why do some people get obsessed with their hobby?
Ok, right. I personally think that sometimes, the passion for a hobby can makes a person become obsessed with it. Well, in some cases, a person can develop his or her hobby to a talent and become successful and famous. Maybe some people believe that they can also succeed like that and they try their best or spend all the time to follow their hobbies. I guess it is really good for a person, especially a young person to have a passion in life. However, when people obsessed with their hobby, they tend to waste too much time and be distracted from more important things

3,Do you think hobbies that keep you fit are better than hobbies that you can do sitting down?
well, I would say it really depends. You might agree with me that some kinds of hobbies without physical activities are still very useful, such as readind and paiting. In the other hand, some people spend their spare time in such a bad way, for example sitting besides the computer all day long, playing video games. In fact, people shoud choose suitable activities that are good for their physical health as well as mental health. Beside some hobbies like watching movie, playing musical instruments, people should spend time playing sports.

FREE TIME

1,Do you think it can be a disadvantage to have too much free time?
Well, to be honest, I don’t think it is an advantage to have too much free time, especially for young people. People should have a reasonable level of free time in order to relax after working days. However, when you have too much free time, it means that you might not be aware of spending enough time for your work or study. More over, I personally believe that people tend to be lazier when most of their time, they have nothing to do.

2, Should people feel a duty to do something constructive in their free time?
Well, I totally agree that people should be aware of doing something constructive when they are free. In fact, people nowaday tend to live more independently and apart from the community. It will be better if they take up some activities to. support charity events or join some local football clubs to improve the sport spirit among the community. Well, although people have the right to choose their own activities in their free time, I strongly support the idea that they should be encourage to do more useful things for society.

3, Do people have more free time now than in the past?
Ok. Right. From my own perspective, people today become much busier than they were before, and they also have less free time than in the past. In modern society with high pace of life, people tend to. suffer from high pressure of job and study, therefore, there is few time for leisure activities. People in the past without modern technology still had variety of beneficial activities in their free time, such as playing sports, walking, painting and holding some local festivals. In the contrary, many people nowaday develop some unhealthy habits such as smoking and drinking too much in order to reduce stress.
