Along with the development of society, more and more problems are brought to our attention, one of which is that life today is filled with sources of stress. Stress is the body's reaction to a change that requires a physical, mental or emotional adjustment or response. The objective of this essay is to outline causes of stress and appropriate ways of dealing with it.
According to National Health Interview Survey, 75% of the general population experiences at least "some stress" every two weeks. Causes of stress can be broken down into personal relationships and workplace stress. Our relationships with other people can cause us stress when there is tension. Relationships can be family members, friends, dating relationships, coworkers, and neighbors, anyone you speak to on a semi-regular basis. For example, a crying baby can send a mother’s stress levels soaring, particularly if she is not getting enough sleep. In ad***ion, if you are experiencing difficulties in a number of relationships at the same time, the stress can be quite significant, even causing depression.
Another source of stress is job or workplace stress. The modern workplace has become far more stressful than ever before. You might be worried about the deadline. You might be facing the negative and bullying behavior of your boss or you might be under stress because of the prospect of losing your job. Then, the next problem is finance. You and your family are not be able to do what you want to due to lack of money.
Methods of coping with stress are aplenty. The most significant or sensible way out is a change in lifestyle. It is really good to include rest and relaxation in your daily schedule. You can listen to music, get a deep sleep or simply do something that gives you a comfort. This is your time to take a break from all responsibilities and recharge your batteries. In ad***ion, physical activity also plays a key role in reducing and preventing the effects of stress. Not only does regular physical exercise increase your health level, but it can also improve your mood. Exercise releases chemicals in your brain that help promote feelings of well-being.
We all have stress in our lives, therefore, if you know how to manage it, you will feel happier, healthier, and be able to cope with more strain from your work life.

Topic 29: People think that old buildings should be knocked down and give way to the new buildings. Do you agree or disagree? How important are old building to us?

Along with the rapid development of the society, a functional and modern building becomes the most choice of people. The old buildings seem to be replaced by the new ones. However, city planners are very confronted with a debate concerning whether an old building should be deconstructed or maintained. From my own perspective, the old building should be preserved within an overall strategy of city’s authorities and for historical and tourism purposes.

First of all, being a container of human activity, building, obviously, is also a reservoir of human history and culture. To some extent, preserving old historic building means respecting the previous generations because they show us how people lived in the past. Hence, they bring a valuable mental present to us as well as our next generations.

Furthermore, the old historic buildings of a city would accentuate a city's culture and characteristic. They allow us to experience architecture, social events and overall community history. For instance, Hanoi has an old quarter of 36 streets, each being closely attached to a tra***ional trade that is clearly shown by its name, such as Hang Muoi Street selling salt, Hang Manh Street selling bamboo curtains, Hang Bac Street selling silver jewelry, etc. Strolling through the old quarter or “36 streets” of Hanoi one can perceive the beauty as well as typical feature of these streets which should be preserved by not only the authorities but also the locals.

Nevertheless, low in quality and poor con***ions of old building are actually posing a danger on users and pedestrians. In contrast, the too crowded citizens lead the old buildings becoming more dilapidated. Therefore, the authorities must classify the old building into specific purposes in order to have suitable actions on them, such as: they need regular repair and maintenance for the historical and tourism purpose, otherwise they should be replaced with new ones to meet the renovation of the city.

In conclusion, historic buildings are parts of a country’s heritage, so they should be protected. However, the authorities must give a plan to harmonize benefits of preserving history and improving citizens’ standard of living there by a replacement or maintenance.

Topic 32: Do you think a museum is to educate or entertain people?
When I was young, to teach me about the historical event of my country, the best way my parents chose was taking me to the museum. It is really beautiful and through the intangible items, I had more knowledge about our country’s history. Since then, I consider museum as a construction of education. However, some people think that museum is a center of entertainments. I wonder that is not wrong at all.
Firstly, there is no doubt to say that museum is created for educational purpose. People build this to maintain the historical things such as: items, tools, costumes… to reflex the life of ancient or the last generation. It shows the reality of all aspect for the young people to know about the hard in the past and motive them to try their best to orient a better life. In ad***ion, it reminds the civilians the historical event on the country. It can help the young who want to pass the history exams, the old that want to reminisce the beautiful past, the researchers that want to find some unknown or secret things to explain an historic event. Once you have known all of these, you must agree with me that museum is an ideal center for education.
In another hand, nowadays, museum is not only used for education but also for entertainment. In many museums, in some special days such as festival, they create events for people who want to enjoy. It is a very good way that people can take the knowledge while playing the game and having fun. It also is a way that museums can take more incomes. Moreover, the museum is designed very beautiful with many original styles which have the art gallery and spaces that people can have a walk inside the museum. I think that is a great place when you want to have a walk with friends for talking or even relaxing. So, the evidence proves that entertaining people is a good use of a museum.
Based on the above discussion and analysis, we can see that museum is an ideal place that people can come with both purposes: education and entertainment. Although you come with what purpose, you have to agree with me that museum is a very nice place that people should visit. From my point of view, people should invest more in museum to maintain and develop it to be a favorite place.

The money spent on space research has brought enormous benefits to mankind, but it could be more usefully applied. How far do you agree?
There is no denying that everything has more than one face and spending money on space exploration is no exception. Many people believe that spending money on cosmos study has brought astronomical benefits to the human kind. However, there are also some people hold the opinion that the money could be used more efficiently.
There are numerous reasons why it is necessary to spend money on space research. Firstly, space technologies are indispensable in our everyday lives such as: communications, weather and earth resource satellites, GPS spacecraft for rescue etc. Secondly, learning about universal can help people understand more about our planet, its developing history and predict what will happen in the future. Further more, planetary exploring can bring mankind opportunities to find another place in which we can live when our planet runs out of nature resources and too small for an extremely number of people.
On the other hand, space research is very costly and terribly low success rate. That huge amount of money wasted again and again for the test fails while that money can help millions of people around the world from hunger and thirst. Space investigation is not only to satisfy people’s curiosity about the planets around the earth but also a weapon which help to improve the political position of some wealth countries. Therefore, spending too much money on space exploration which is usually fail is not the optimal choice.
After careful consideration of the above reasons, I, personally, support the first point of view. Because without proper investment in space research, the human society will not have the breakthrough development.

All the things which have been happening outside the Earth are mysteries to humans. The scientists have been not only losing a lot of effort, days and nights to find the answers but the governments have been also spending much money for the field of space research. Exploring the Universe is a dream of all nations in the world so many countries spent a lot of money achieving this thus showing the power of economy. To use a large amount of money to research space seems to make them many good results. For example, in 1957 Soviet Union succeeded in launching spacecraft with a name “Sputnik 1” which open era to conquer the universe of human. Besides, USA, an economic powerhouse the world's No. 1, had Neil Armstrong, who first person in the world, stepped in the face of the moon in 1969. Moreover, then many satellites, spacecraft were successfully launched into space has brought huge benefits to humans. People can communicate or watch live events from anywhere on Earth with the help of satellites and hope to find another planet to live outside the earth through exploration of the ships. Therefore, investing in space science is too costly but it is essential.

On other hands, some people think that spending money for space research is a waste thing. Perhaps this is because of the simple fact that there are many problems we need to solve. Take for example, the public health programs in schools and hospitals require a huge amount of budget to support and in some countries people are in the midst of food shortages. Instead of spending money on space research, we can use money to help them. There are many things we can do with that money, that sure to bring a life better for many people.

In conclusion, in my view, I approve of two opinions. Money needs to be spent effectively and the governments have to balance their budgets for space science and other areas.
