Globally, the transportation is considered as one of the major challenges that people have to overcome in the 21st century. The excessive number of cars and personal means of transport are believed a severe threat on survival of people in the coming years, if not solved effectively. However, there are many arguments against this idea. If governments and all citizens make a great effort to control the private transport system, every problem will be solved.
To begin with, admittedly thanks to public transportation, people can reduce pollution in cities and do not cause the energy waste. Actually, take a simple example, we will have 45 sources of release from 45 private cars meanwhile we only have one source of release from a bus with 45 people. Another benefit of public transport is that it helps us save a lot of money during the current economic recession. In fact, it not only provides services with economical expense for the poor but also saves a great amount of money for car park, insurance and maintenance.
On the negative side , some problems of traffic still happen day by day , such as congestion and traffic accidents . All these things comes from awareness and responsible in the road with vehicles whether public or private . In ad***ion , the public transports are inflexible , especially in the rush hour . While the bus stand for hours because of narrow road system , with a motorbike you can pass it easily . Due to this incident , some commuters are still reluctant when use public transport In conclusion, improving the public transport services is an efficient way to tackle the problems caused by the considerably increasing number of cars. However it requires a deep cooperation between governments and individuals.

[FONT=&quot] People use cars more and more today and the issues have begun. Government’s comment is should use the public transport and limit to use individual transport. In my opinion, I completely agree with government.[/FONT]

Economics is developing, people is buying more cars to serve needs of them. Because they feel more convenient than bus, taxi or motorbike taxi. The reason why they don’t like to use bus is they’re dirty and cramped. And taxi is so expensive. Even affect environment, create pollution.[/FONT]

Another point which is concerning is the increase in the number of cars on the road. People may think that Vietnam is a poor developing country, but in Hanoi there is an incredible number of cars, a lot owned by the government but increasing numbers owned by private individuals. Recently, the government approved a policy to allow second hand cars to be imported, which is only going to add the the congestion in big cities like Hanoi and Saigon. in car use and congestion are serious problems. the traffic is worst during the rush hour when everyone is attempting to get to work or get home quickly. The problem is traffic congestion and a higher number of traffic accidents, the roads are jammed and the environment suffers from increasing amounts of pollution. The reason is people are accustomed to using their own cars and that population growth combined with higher living standards means that more and more people own cars.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]The major cause leading to traffic congestion is the high number of vehicle which was caused by the population and the development of economy. To solve this problem, the government should encourage people to use public transport or vehicles with small size such as bicycles or make tax on private vehicles. the government should make an investment in the traffic facilties, namely, the pubilc transport need improving to become more modern and convenient.[/FONT]

Due to the fact that overloading cars on the strees has resulted in many serious problem, governments have lauched policies to encourage citizens to use public transport. From my perspective, I just partially agree with this opinion. We can not deny that public transports reach an important position in modern life but it also causes disadvantages. I will explain more in the following reasons.
The greatest benefit of public transports is that they are cheap and some of them are fast such as the subway. A car can only carry from 1 to 4 people while a bus can accommodate about 40 people. Hence, it is understanable why public transports cost cheaper. Moreover, if catching subway to go to work, we do not need to worry about traffic congestion because it runs on its own way. Reducing the use of cars also reduce pollution to environment, which is directly influence on the quality of our lives.
On the other hand, this policy of governments is not the best solution to deal with the problem of increasing cars on the roads. Sometimes, public transports such as buses are also the victim of traffic jam. We can not be punctual, too. Besides, on the rush hours, too many people taking one public transport can lead to overcrowd. They have to endure the crowd like “sardine in a can”. This lead to make them turnback to use individual means like cars.
There can be no doubt that public transports are still useful for community. However, the governments can work out to make other efficient decisions such as offering flexible working schedule, stimulating companies to use the Internet and work from home instead of going to work, taxing highly registration cars and so on.

I completely agree with this point. The cars are noisy, smelly, dirty and cost more and more day by day.
To begin with, currently, number of cars on our roads is unreasonable and this causes many problems for society. Let me take some examples to make it clearly. This figure has overcome one millions and there are 78 billions cars in China, a Asian country. A main new study shows that Britons truly love their cars and the number of cars on roads has tripled in the last 30 years. Many problems have arisen from those figures. Traffic congestion is caused by commuters travelling cars at the same time of the day. Air is polluted by too many emissions. It negatively affects health of human and plants can’t grow. And people will be heard more and more annoying sound of cars.
Next, to solve this problem, one of the main measures is using transport public. Residents and government should ensure that it plays a more important role in modern life. To be more specific, transport public is cheaper. It does take too much more money for one moving. And furthermore, one point worth mentioning here is that transport public is managed by government. They can use many different ways to build a more perfect system. Of course, it is necessary to have participation of whole people in each country.

Nowadays, our life is more modern, along with con***ion living. People tend to a comfort life, firstly have a car so we can probably see that our road is too crowded cars and excessive cars. This leads to serious problems. I really appreciate that Individuals and governments should use public transport more effective in order to tackle these problems.
Traffic jam in rush hour, climate pollution are the most serious and realizable problems. Traffic jam makes drivers feel discomfort and waste their time, they can be also late for working because too many people drive on road at the same time. Climate pollution is caused by exhaust of cars. This contributes to lead to green house or varying the weather. Moreover, people inhale car-exhaust can suffer diseases such as lung, respiration. Parking, on the other hand, is not adequate when a number of cars are increasing more and more. These problems can be restricted if we travel by alternative transport like public transport.
Public transport includes bus, train, subway or maybe tram… They are really cheap and convenient, for example bus fare is just 3VND per route. We also don’t fear about exhaust and diseases it caused despite being carpool in these transport. So our road will be diminished amount of transport. Moreover, if you are far for your office, you can choose subway which can help you quickly, clearly and cheaply, even you can take a nap in subway and then arrive your office. You can see that public transport don’t make you as waste time, inhale gas is not good for health as car and don’t make you feel tired after driving car. Although public transport doesn’t deal with all problems of car, it helps country more to limit one.
In ad***ion, government must have solution to overcome negative public transport, for example bad infrastructure, unpunctual… People will have daily routine to travel by public transport. Therefore, I believe that serious problems of car can be tackled in near future.

These days, when the population is increasing rapidly, the amount of transports are raising considerablely, we have reached the halfway mark in oil consumption, we are faced with sesies of gobal issues. With respect to the problems, public transports are a crucial part of the solution to the nation’s economic, energy, environmental pollution challenges,especial traffic jam, helping to bring a better quality of life. So, the government and individuals should use the public transport more than the private transport in order to solve the numerous problems.
Regarding traffic jam, using public transports instead of private transports helps to alleviate crowded network of roads by providing transportation choices. A variety of public transports give people many oppoturnities to choose a vehicle to get to work, go to school, visit friends . If most of peoples opt to use public transport as main vehicle to commute, there will be less a large number of vehicles involving in road, by means of this way, we will relieve traffic congestion. This help our to save valuable time, cost of travel and fuel. The 2010 Urban Mobility Report makes clear that without public transportation services, travelers would have suffered an ad***ional 785 million hours of delay and consumed 640 million more gallons of fuel.
Given the fact that, Public transports not only ease traffic congestion, they also reduce pile up and continues to be one of the safest modes of travel . In fact,
riding a transit bus is 91 times safer than car travel. Transit vehicle operators are highly trained to anticipate and avoid problems.
Dispite the commuter have been benefited from public transport services, there are a number of reasons why public transports absolutely can not replace private transports. Because of public transports as trains or buses running on a set schedule, users of public transport are depend on bus or train schedules and stops. They do not stop at the exact address that they are going to, so many people may need other vehicles to arrive at their final destination. These will not be less transport on the road. In ad***on, public transports move slower than a single driver unhindered by traffic. Many people prefer to drive rather than take those because they can get to the destination faster. Especially,There is no privacy in public transports. Peoples are crowded in and don't have much personal space. There is nothing to protect your passenger from what others do in that public space.
Notwithstanding, public transports are some disadvantages, expanding public transportation is used as key to reducing traffic congestion. “Clearly, even if you don’t ride public transportation, it is still in your best interest *****pport investment in public transit. There is an excessive number of cars on our roads today and this leads to many problems. Individuals and governments should ensure that public transportation plays a more important role in modern life in order to tackle these problems.
To what extent do you agree with this statement?

Along with the development of society, more and more problems are brought to our attention, one of which is traffic and the rising amount of cars in the road in our days. In fact, the has been a long debate about this problem. It is clearly seen that public transport is should be part of the solution. It is likely to play a important role in modern life in order to solve these problems.

During last decades, day after day people prefer have their owns cars for some reason , like for instance, the comfortable situation to can use your vehicle when you want, the possibility to go wherever you want without need to depend on schedule.

On the other hand , around the world the excessive use of cars is bigger problem year after year because of the origin of a lot environmental problems, and gives rise to traffic congestion such as a large number of cars rush out road at the same time of the day by commuters travelling to work or the car-pooling is not of popularity.

To be more precise, i am in favour of the practice that the public transportation such as bus, subway etc is one of good solution for this problem. The first, it is seen that modern public transport is cheap and fast. The second thing that must be taken into consideration is that it can help to reduce pollution in cities. In ad***ion to this, we also need to decrease our dependence on cars . Nevertheless, there are some of negatives of this is that sometimes public transports are impunctual , unreliable or slow. As well as that, in the rush hour, the public transport can carry a number of overloaded people, so people like sardine in a can.

From what has been discussed above, we may finally draw the conclusion that government should offer solution to people’s necessities. In fact, the government should improve the public transport infrastructure , so the public transport can be reliable and efficient.
