    Em Quân - E61 nộp bài Writting Task 2 - Topic 3

Along with the development of the world in the 21st century, one of the general trend in this century is a close connection between the countries in many aspects, especially on the economic and cultural development. Besides that development, one thing that we need to think whether the tight connection between the developing countries gradually lose their individual identity and this should be considered and analyzed in more detail.

During development of the world, countries want to catch up this development, the need for open integration with the world, particularly in terms of economic and cultural. And to the development of good results, then these countries need deeper integration with the region and the world, however, when implementing the open integration of these countries do not necessarily give up their culture because the culture of a nation is not something bad but it is a valuable asset to the individual identity of each nation in the world. If involved in the integration process of opening up that lost the national identity of their national culture, the country will be identical for all countries that no longer has its own identity. One of the particular culture creates its own cultural identity of each country such as Beijing opera in China, Japanese tea culture, water puppet in Vietnam, Sydney Opera House in Australia ...
    <FONT class=imageattach onload=[/IMG]
Many of the national culture has been lost over time, as in Vietnam, many cultures have gradually been eroded by the rapid development of modern technology, such as Ca Tru is a cultural heritage of Vietnam but with the penetration of western culture such as pop, rock, hip hop, ... and development trends of the music market increasingly fewer people especially young people to the arts Ca Tru. Besides, today, many countries have been aware of the importance of preserving and promoting national cultural identity because it is a resource to attract attention, attention of the other countries, contribute to national economic development through the development of activities to visit and tourism.

As outlined above, the opening of the national integration with the development of the region and the world can bring many benefits but can also make the country the loss of invaluable national asset is the type of cultural or ethnic cultural identity. This depends much on the will of that country.

    Writing task 1:
The line graph illustrate the change of ratio of salary increase in the 90s decade of the last century.

It is clear from the graph, the ratio in salary increase climbed up graduately from 2% in 1993 to 4% in 1994. In contrast, the ratio of salary increase witnessed a steady deterioration by 1% over the next two years. Interestingly, from 1996 to 1998 the ratio of salary increase rose rapidly again and had a jump from 3% to over 6%. On the contrary, after 1998 there was a significantly downward trend in the ratio of salary increase which dropped two times in comparison with the ratio in 1998 and took a nosedive at 1% in 2003.

In conclusion, over the decade from 1993 to 2003, there was a fluctuation in the ratio of salary increase in some nations. On the other hand, it was estimated to recover gradually in the begining of the 20th century.

    Writing task 2:
Topic 3: There is a disagreement on the impact of increased business and culture contact between countries on a country's identity. What is your opinion?

Along with the development of society, more and more problems are brought to our attention, one of which is that the worry about effects of improved economy and cultural touch. A sizable percentage of people point out these effects will break special national features. However, from my own perspective, every coin has two sides. These are many reasons supporting my views.

The first reason that can be seen by every person is that improved trading will lead to a stronger and more dynamic economy which provide more money for countries. With money, as a result, nations can consolidate their positions on the world map. Moreover, the connection could broaden the culture gap among nations. Consequently, people with different nationalities could exchange information about many sectors such as social problems, government policies or tourism which could show special characters of nations. For example, American can talk about Wall Street's changing or Golden Bridge's beauty while Vietnamese will talk about Ha Long Bay which is one of seven wonders in the world or traffic jam in Hanoi. As a consequence, people can distinguish this nation from others and recognize them easily.

On the other side, this situation bring us some disadvantages. The first one should be mentioned is breaking the normal order and general safety of the society. As an illustration, Western cultures affect people's behaviour through recreational information such as films, musics and other resources. Indeed, studies show people intend to do crime after long time period of watching action films. For instance, violent contents of films which include guns, knives and grenade could make juvenile delinquency occurs more often. The second thing that must be taken into consideration is brain drain phenomenon. Unequivocally, nowadays citizens are keen on going oversea for not only higher living standard but also greater income. As a result, lower increased nations will lack of high quality human resources. This will cause long-term effects for poorer nations.

From what has been discussed above, we may finally draw the conclusion that improved business and cultures touch among nations give themselves both advantages and disadvantages for their identity. The most important thing for each country is making suitable policies to improve and maintain their position, receiving good points and remove inappropriate factors.

Em Thảo nộp bài Writing task 2:
Topic 3: There is a disagreement on the impact of increased business and culture contact between countries on a country's identity. What is your opinion?

Increasing international business and mutual travel may help countries to integrate and travel among nations to affirm their positions in the world. Some people believe that globalization impacts on the identity of a country. This issue has been discussed and is highly controversial.

Culture conservation is not only the concern of individual nations but ad***ionally a world’s concern, as an economic development is intertwined globally. Many foreign organizations have been expanding their business all over the world. Therefore, many nations also bring their people, cultural tra***ions, foods and work ethics to other countries where there are educational and commercial opportunities. This is evident in any international multi-cultural large city. For example, there are hundreds of western restaurants, bars, buildings in Hanoi and Saigon, the new and the ancient capital of Vietnam. In ad***ion, it has been demonstrated that young Vietnamese people easily adapt to new things and which are quickly incorporated into their daily lives. This phenomena is illustrated by teenagers who now frequently communicate to each other in English instead of using their national language. This is changed so subtle and pervasive that is happens without being noticed.

On the other hand, each country understands the important role culture plays in developing tourism. Cultural characteristics can be an asset of a country and where efforts have been made to conserve historical sites and indigenous cultures, the tourism industry has blossomed and a new sense of pride is coupled to an increase in the standard of living and preservation of history. For instance, the biggest tourist attractions in Vietnam are the tra***ional villages. And these crafts reach a broader market and audience as they enter the global goods markets. Governments have capitalized and stabilized this growth by issuing policies to protect and preserve their cultural heritages. Moreover, they also support the young people in the continuation of these tra***ions by providing living standard comparable to that of manufacturing jobs and service industry.

In conclusion, as two sides have been reviewed above, I can say that there is no answer for this matter. Identity of a country is absolutely depended on the citizen and government’s consciousness.

The diagram below gives the information about the Hawaiian island chain in the centre of the pacific Ocean.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown.
You should write at least 150 words

Hawaiian islands chain is a chain of volcano islands. There are 8 major islands : Niihau, kauai, oahu, molo kai, lanai, maui, kahoolawe, hawaii. This chain of islands are located in the centrer of the pacific ocean with the length from east to west of about 500km. Hawaii is the lagest island which is located in the east of the chain.
This chain of islands is created by the movement of the pacific tectonic plate. The pacific plate moves westward 7-9 cm every years and cracks the solid dense rock layer which is located under the ocean’s floor. A chain of volcano are created on the crack. The oldest volcano on hawaiian islands chain dates back 80 m years. Built up by numerous eruptions, these volcanos develop, rise up Pacific ocean’s surface. Those volcanoes become hawaiian island chain that we can see nowaday.
Eruption process begins deep inside the volcano, originating 2883 km below the ocean’s surface. The hot spot spumes inside the youngest volcano remains static. Over the hot spot is the magma spume. The youngest volcano is till developing, being built up by Its own eruptions.

The diagram below shows how a central heating system in a house works.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
You should write at least 150 words.

Heating system is an important facility in houses today. It’s a complicate system with tanks, pipe, tubes, pump but the most important part in this system is a boiler which is used to heat up cold water. This system provides heat and hot water for the house.
At first, cold water gets in to the house from it’s source outside of the house. The water go straight to the boiler. This is the place where water is heated up using gas or oil. A pump sucks the hot water in the boiler, forces it to go through hot water radiators. Radiators are placed around the house. Inside those radiators, hot water goes through small tubes and loses heat. Heat that is given by the hot water is sent to the air inside the house by radiators. Hot water loses heat and become cold water. It is sucked by the pump moves back to the boiler. Cold water here is ready to be heat up for another go.
Hot water from the boiler is also used directly through taps. It is pumped in to a storage tank. This tank is also filled by another water tank on the rooftop through an over flow pipe. Hot water from the storage tank is provided to taps that we use every days.
