The indexes of economy and society for the four countries in 1994
are indicated obviously on the table. Four criteria cited were annual income per capita, life expectancy at birth, daily calorie per person and the percentage of adult literacy.
It can be seen clearly from the table that the indicators of Japan and Canada were much higher than them of the two countries remaining, Peru and Zaire. In terms of income per person annually, the highest number belonged to Japanese people with 15760 dolars per year, followed by the Canadian, Peruvian and Zaire with 11100, 160 and 130 dolars, respectively. It was also repeated with the same pattern in life expectancy in birth. The Japanese had the longest life on average, while the Zaire were opposite. Once again, the lowest number went for the Zaire which was only 1749 calories intook daily per person while the Canadian ate up the highest amount of calories, about 3326 calories per day. This number may be affected by the income they earned. The last indicator was the percentage of adult literacy. It is obivous that almost the Japanese and Canadian were literate, accouted for 99% of adult. Meanwhile, this number in Peru and Zaire were 68% and 34% in succession.
Generally speaking, there can be no doubt that Japan and Canada are the two countries having ideal indicators, refecting the high living standards of people here. The higher education they took, the higher income they earned. In addtion, an obvious truth is that with the high income, everyone can eat well and live well.

The data has been divided into three main categories , data opened, kilometres of route and passengers per year .
As shown in the table, Lodon has the oldest underground railway system. It was opened in the year 1863. Paris is second oldest ,in which it was opened in the year 1900. This was then followed by the opening of the railway systems in Tokyo , Washington DC and Kyoto. Los Angeles has the newest underground railway system and was only opened in the year 2001. In term of the size of the railway systems, London , for certain, has the largest underground railway system. It has 394 kilometres of route in total , which is nearly twice as large as the system in Paris. Kyoto , in contrast, has the smallest system. It only has 11 kilometres of route ,which is more than 30 times shorter than that of London.
It can be seen interestingly from the table, Tokyo which only has 155 kilometres of route ,servers the greatest number of passengers per year, at 1927 millions passengers. The system in Paris has the second greatest number of passengers, at 1191 millions passengers per year. The smallest underground railway system, Kyoto, serves the smallest amount of passengers per year as predicted.
In conclusion, the underground railway systems in different cities vary a lot in the size of the system, the number passengers served per year , and in the age of the system.

    Topic 3:

The statistics indicates some general details of the underground railway systems in six large cities in the world, namely the open day, the routing length and the annual amount of passengers. As can be seen from the table, in chronological order, the length of route and customers using the services saw a typical trend of decrease.

It can clearly be seen that London was the first one inaugurating its system of underground railway between the six cities with the longest route of 394 kilometres in 1863. In contrast, Paris opened its first underground station 37 years later than the English capital with the routing length of 199 kilometres, that seemed to be roughly a half compared with London, but the number of its passengers a years was approximately 1.5 times than London’s. Furthermore, the city which had the most people going by subway was Tokyo with the number of 1927 million and this was specially similar to the open year of the city’s metro system (1927).

In the second category, Washington DC, Kyoto and Los Angeles completed their tube systems later than the three others but with much shorter length of underground railroad and fewer passengers. In fact, the data showed that Kyoto owned the shortest underground railway which was only 11 kilometres long and also the fewest number of passengers with 45 million tickets sold per year.

    This ends the report here.

As shown in the table , a underground railway systems in London was opened earliest in the six among the six cities . It was started operation in 1863 , with the longest route about 394 killometres and served 775 millions passengers per year . Paris is the second oldest , in which was opened in the year 1900 . The railway systems in Tokyo, Kyoto and Washington DC was respectively opened in the following year . Los Angeles has the newest underground railway system, and was only opened in 2001 . It has 28 killometres of route and 50 millions passengers used in total . However , this figures are bigger than Kyoto , the smallest underground railway system – 11 killometres and serves the smallest number of passengers per year-45 millions passengers . Especially in Tokyo where attends to the greatest number of passengers , about 1927 millions people , is more than 13 times than that of Washington DC , even they have a line with the same length .
In conclusion , we can clearly see the difference in the age , the routing length and the annual number passenger served for the six underground railway system .
