    Writing Task 2.2

Thanks to the advance in human civilization , an enormous budget has been spent by government to improve the quality of life . A sizeable percentage of people claim that authorities should invest on public services and facilities but arts . From my own perspective , I am entirely in favour of this statement .
Granted it is true that arts yield various psychological rewards , the truth is they only attract a private and separate sector of society . Moreover , musi and mythology , two popular types of art , can be absolutely preserved by oral stories that do not require an tremendous budget . A concrete example to illustrate this point is the folk music in Vietnam . These tra***ions and customs are well protected through generations by tribal people in mountainous area . Therefore , government have no obligations to spend much on arts.
It is also important for people to realize that investing on public facilities and infrastructure brings quite a few benefits to the society. Let me take education as a proof . In Germany , students can study and research in any university without paying fees since there is an entire financial aid from government . Therefore, they have more time for self-study and not being distracted by part-time jobs or accommodation . This leads to the birth of knowledge-based generation that the whole society can rely on in the near future.
Last but not least, it should be remembered that a tremendous public spending undeniably boost the national economy and foreign trade . This case is evident in the invention of Internet and communication networks . In this day and age, just by a few clicks on the mouse , people can keep contact with their families and friends . Thus , this fact foster the e-commerce on the Internet . As a result , many governments recognize this merit anf continue spending more on intergrated network system to earn enormous income.
Of all I have discussed above , I can finally conclude that arts can flourish without money however public infrastructure need to be invested more . This will lead to the properity of civilization and this trend is predicted to continue in the future .

    Writing Task 2.3
Thanks to the steady growth in economy anf improvement of people’s living standard, there is an increasing budget spent by government on health care services and education facilities . However,, some individuals suggest that it is by no means government obligation . From my own point of view, I am entirely object to this statement .
First and foremost, it goes without saying that everyone has the right to be well-educated and nurtured in a teaching environment . In higher education, regarding students who work towards Physical Doc tor degrees, they probably do not afford the formidable tuitions . Hence , authorities are obliged *****pport learner in various ways . Enormous budget used as financial aid can spawn a large number of knowledge-based generations . As a result , this will lead to the significant boost of national economy .
It is also important for people to realize that the provision of medical services is basic human need and decent living standard . To illustrate this point of view, I would like to mention the case of sufferers in harsh con***ion . It is the humanitarian relief indicating the well-being of citizens when men help each other . Therefore , authorities should invest moreon construction of hospitals and clinics in mountainous areas to provide an adequate level of health care .
Admittedly , it might be argued that heavy public spending may benefit the poor residents and seems unfair to rich tax-payers . However , the truth is that medical services and education facilities are primary needs of human . To tackle this issue , from my own thoughts , students and patients should be responsible for an insignificant proportion of total budget, accounting approximately 20%
Of all I have discussed above, I can finally conclude that health care and education are governments’ obligation . Moreover, authorities should pay the vast majority of fees for drugs , medicine and tuition . It may put the pressure on tax-payers but public investment is one of decent human needs

Describe a star that you admire:

So far I have admired singer Hong Nhung very much. She has a brilliant beauty with slim figure and nice complexion. She is attracted to many people because of her lovely and naive smile. I find her extremely charming. She also is out-going and tactful, furthermore she has never had any scandal, therefore she has built the good image in public relations. Not only that but she has a beautiful voice. When I first listened to her, I gave my heart to her voice. The gentle melodies make me be fascinated at once. And she always sings with all her heart so that all her songs are very emotive, they cheer me up whenever I am sad. On the whole, Hong Nhung endeared herself to me and I enjoy listening to her songs everyday.

The table gives information on the number of homed school students in Somecountry in the period from 1999 to 2004.

It can be clearly seen from the table that there was an upward trend for all the grades and Kindergarten throughout this period. The number of kids going to the Kindergarten increased steadily, starting at 2.4 percent in 1999 and ending at 2.9 percent in 2004. Meanwhile, with regard to grades 3-4 and grades 7-8 , the firgures were slower but showed a similar trend. There was just 1.6 percent of children studying grades 3-4 reported in 1999, afterwards climbing slightly to a peak of 2.2 percent in 2004.

On the contrary, grades 1-2 and 5-6 illustrated the little different trend. Both of them started at 1.5 percent in 1999. Thereafter, the number of grades 1-2 and 5-6 decreased considerably and then reached a peak at 2.1% and 2.6% respectively.

Overall, it can be inferred from the table that children generally tended to go to shools more than before.

The graph shows data on the percentage of wages growing in a ten-year period.

In general, the ten-year period witnessed a flutuation rate of wages. It can be clearly seen from the graph that the percent of wages started at 2% in 1993, doubling to 4% in the next year and then dipping down to at around 3% in 1996. Afterwards, it rose significantly before reaching a peak of 6 percent in 1998. It would seem that 1998 is the best year that the earnings of employees were at the highest amount of money. From this point until the year of 2003, there was an increasing trend in the rate of wages. Initially, the percentage of earnings remarkably decreased to just under 3 percent. Following this downward trend, it continued falling rapidly to around 1-2 percent by the end of 2003.

To conclude, it is apparently the fluctuation of the wages occurred due to the up and down level of inflation. The wages are expected to rise slightly in the future.

The diagram illustrates the operation of a central heating system in a house. It shows how the tank, boiler and pipes work providing hot water for the radiators and tubes.

Firstly, the cold water go into the house and is stored in a water storage tank. Then, the water run into a boiler through the waterpipe. The boiler is fuelled by gas or oil. From there, the water which is heatened already, is pumped through a system of pipes into the hot water radiators and some tubes in order to warm up different rooms of the house. Besides, some of the water is flowed directly to the taps to provide hot water for the users. When the water become cold after circulating around the house, it is returned to the boiler to be re-heated and operated around the house again.

    1.2

The table gives information about different types of households who lived in poverty in Autralia in 1999.

On average, the proportion of inhabitants had to live in poor con***ion making up 11% of total households.
It goes without saying that the group of single adults without children
and a sole parent tended to live in poor with the highest level of poverty, 19% and 21% respectively. The couple group constituted the average percentages with 12% for couples with children and 7% for those without children. Meanwhile, the elderly were generally more wealthy than the younger groups. The percentage of the elderly couples (4%) was slightly smaller than the percentage of single elderly people (6%).

In conclusion, it can be inferred from the table that sole parents and single adults were more likely to have indigent lives than the others.
