The table indicates the percentage of home schooled children in Somecountry over a period of 6 years.

Regarding the kindergarten grades, there was a gradual upward trend, starting at 2.4 % in 1999 and reached a peak of 2.9 in 2004. Similarly, the proportion of students at grades 3-4 received home education rose from 1.6% in 1999 to 2.1% in 2004 ( the annual increase was around 0.1%) In the same pattern, the percentage of students educated privately at grades 7-8 remained at 1.6% until 2001 and afterward, rocketed to 2.2% in 2002. Following this upward trend, the figure for grade 7-8 home schooled children reached its peak in 2004, standing at 2.5%

Conversely, the data for grades 1-2 and grades 5-6 showed an erratic trend. As for grades 1-2, the proportion of home schooled students standing at 1.5% declined sharply to 1.2% in 2000. Luckily, it recovered quickly from 1.3% in 2001 to 2.1% in 2004. Not quite similarly but the figure for grades 5-6 fluctuated. After 2 years dropping from 1.5% in 1999 to 1.3%, the percentages of home schooled children at grades 5-6 dramatically surged to 2.6%.

It can be inferred from the table that all grades including kindergarten had a rise in terms of home schooled children between 1999 and 2004.

The table indicates the breakdown of families living in poverty in Australia in 1999 in terms of percentage

The highest proportions of people living in poverty belonged to single no children group and single parent, were 19% and 21% respectively. Couples might have a better position as the figure for couple with children was 12% and for couple no children is 5% less than couple with children ( stood at only 7%). It was noticeable that both groups including children had a higher percentage than the one without children.

Regarding to older adults, the proportions of people who suffered from poverty were quite meager. Only 6% of single aged person lived in poverty while 4% of old couple had *****ffer from poverty .

It can be inferred from the table that children can put their families under a higher risk of poverty and old people were less likely to live poorly

The line graph showed the information about a trend of individual incomes of Somecountry over a decade from 1993 to 2003.

In 1993, the growth rate in wage was 2% but it rapidly doubled in 1994. Afterward, this figure declined gradually to about 3% in 1996. Luckily, the percentage of growth in salaries , after 1996, was steadily increased. Following this upward trend, the growth rate of income reached its peak of 6% and made 1997 to be the best year when people earned the best income. However, from 1998, there was a sharply decline in the wage growth rate to about 3% where its stood stably for a year. After that, this figure continuously free-felt to nearly 1% in 2002. The last year of the period witnessed the meager upward trend of wage growth rate when it moved from 1% in 2002 to 2%.

It can be inferred from the line graph that over the decade, the growth rate in wage was fluctuated, moving from 1% to 6%.

The diagram revealed the operating process of a central heating system in a house.

Firstly, cold water enters a house and fills the water tank on the roof of this house. After that, the water delivered by the system of pipe comes to a storage tank. The boiler on the ground floor operated under the pressure of gas or oil heats the cold water passes through it.

After being heated, the water pumps to hot water radiators located in different rooms in the house. There are small tubes in each radiators to distribute the heat and provide this directly to warm up the room. The hot water also flows directly to taps to serve various purposes.

When hot water becomes cold, it goes to the boiler through the system of pipes and tubes to be reheated and starts a new circulation.

Describe a star that you admire:
Same as the other mans, I very like football, and I fans English Premier League, Manchester United FC – a great football club. However, I’m a fan of Spain footballer – Raul Gonzalez. Raul is a striker, he had spent most of his career playing for Real Madrid FC. Although, he plays in striker position, he does not have a good shape - he is only less than 1,8m. His face was very handsome and manly, but on the pitch, he was a “dangerous hunter”. He was the best scorer in history of Real Madrid FC, UEFA Champions League and Spainish team, respectively. Although he is “record-holder”, on the pitch or in daily life, he is a exemplary man. He really loved his wife, the evidence was he kissed his wedding ring when he scored. I fan him, not only by his ability but also by his personality.

Describe the process to flirt with someone you fancy:
Flirting a girl is a very meticulous work, requiring spend much time and more energy, especially for novice as me. According me, the flirting work have some following step. First, I proceed to find out her hobby and her characters. the second step, I will start trying to contact her to make an appointment, especially on occasions such as International Women’s day, Vietnam women’s day or Valentine’s day. After a long time to learn, I realize that she has a lover and she consider me as a friend. Finally, I return to find someone who I feel like, of cause she has no boyfriend.

2.1
Museums have been well-known as the research and education centres. Museum’s staff has responsibility to acquire, preserve and expose all the objectives having cultural and historical values. There are those who argue that museums are also means of entertainment of the citizens, not just for educational purposes. In my opinion, museums are the important access both to entertain and educate for the mankind.

Granted it is true that the role of museums for education is rather essential. In ad***ion to the antiques, museum’s staff has trained to provide interpretation of the collected objects to the general public. It is no exaggeration to say that all of them are considered as the means to widen individual’s knowledge such as the cultural tra***ions and the history of a nation. Schools therefore often take their pupils to the museums in order to remind them of the history and the great merits of the ancestors.

Critics may say some museums charge the admission fees for commercial target. However, the truth is that their operations are not-for-profit. Not like an entertainment business, all the collected objects in museum are just artistic and historical importance. Admittedly, museums have to balance their budget. As the museums have to spend a huge of money to conserve the antiques, they thus operate more activities to attract more visitors, for an ad***ional fees to cover all the costs. A concrete example is that in recent years, Vietnam museum of ethnology has opened many handicraft classes for the local inhabitants. Through these activities, not only would this help the museums obtain more profit for preservation, but it would also open up many opportunities for young generation to learn attractive cultural features of their nations.

From what has been discussed above, one can reach a conclusion that the important role of museums is not only for education but also entertainment purposes of human.

2.2
Happiness is an invisible thing that everyone always wants to attain it. It is very difficult to define the happiness as the perception of happiness is different from one individual to another as a result of the mixed effect of individual’s characteristics and environmental factors.

It goes without saying that happiness is difficult to define because it means so many different things to different people. In a lifetime, people always have different objectives to obtain and different interests to pursue. The objective is possibly a high salary job as a new postgraduate student or simply a beautiful dress with a cheap price as a girl. When people become older, their attitudes and interests change a lot and the concept of happiness therefore differ from the formers. At that moment, they think that fashionable cloths or trendy consumer products are not worthy. Instead of that, they consider healthy or the peacefullness in life.

Besides, there are intrinsic factors influencing one’s perception of happiness such as characters, pursuits or the different ways human face significant events throughout the lifetime. A pessimistic person usually thinks about the worst things without awaring the other positive aspects. In contrast, the optimists know clearly what is the most important and what is not in their lives. It is important for everyone to have ability to keep clear perspectives in life rather than achieving happiness.

It is therefore clear that happiness is completely attainable if human can evaluate what is the top priority. However, they should not have high expectation, it can thus bring more stress and the pressure for pursuing the objectives.

Some people believe that museums are the best places to educate human about many aspects of ancient life. Conversely, others argue that museums open only to entertain people. This notion should be reviewed as one can clearly see the dual functions of a museum.

The main function of a museum, as stated above, is educating people. A museum can impart knowledge to its visitors about art, architecture, culture of a specific region. Staffs of a museum are trained to give visitors a full interpretation about all objects showed in this museum. Taking the Vietnam military history museum as an example, many of historical things are displayed there consisting of airplanes, cannons, flashlights and thousands of documentary pictures about heroic people and the wars for independence of Viet Nam. The museum not only helps young generations learn about the brave of their predecessors but also provide to foreign visitors knowledge of a heroic country. Furthermore, a museum is a favourite place for professors to give lectures regularly.

Meanwhile, working as a non profit organization, a museum , not like an entertainment business, does not have any targeted customers to serve but widely opens to the whole community. Except some museums require a small amount of money as a fee to cover their administration costs, almost museums have free entrance. Furthermore, a museum usually choose objects to display not for their commercial value but according to the line of items they focus mainly.

Granted it is true that working not for profit but a museum still needs funds to operate and collect valuable things. To balance its budget, a museum involves in many projects in order to bring visitors to the museum. In ad***ion, it also takes part in some entertainment activities like making films or holding musical performances. A museum, in this case, can serve its clients as an entertainment company.

As stated above, one can clearly see that museums are now providing services not only for entertainment purposes but also for education as the most part. The managers of a museum should have suitable policies to broaden the image of the museum in both entertainment and educational fields.

2.2

Not surprisingly, one individual has a different definition of happiness comparing with other ones. The difference in perceptions of happiness is rooted in the various factors, like personal characteristics, personal objectives, pursuits. Those components can have dissimilar impacts on the way people attain happiness

Undeniably, in different stages of life, people tend to have different passions. A toddler may be addicted to colourful toys, play station machines when he moves to a teenager. He can passionate in a branded car as an adults before being aspired by a private owned company at the older ages. With age, those things can subject to change. Taking a fashion fad as an example, a young lady feels delighted when buying a modern bag of Louis Vuitton after a several months work hard. When the youth passes, she tends to consider a stylish hair cut, a modern pair of shoes as a waste of money and time.

Other elements influencing the actions of people toward the happiness are more likely subjective. Those internal factors including personal temperaments, characteristics, pursuits and philosophies can control the way people consider and react to important events in their lives. Some people work hard everyday, known as workaholics, can sacrifice many valuable things to money while others make light of it. Instead, they treasure their families, relatives, friends and do not miss any important occasions like wedding, birthday parties.

Although the elements affecting the perceptions of happiness of each person are different, the ways to achieve happiness are almost the same. Firstly, people have to choose attainable objectives. Having an unachievable one brings nothing but high pressure to its owner. After that, weighing those targets and setting top priorities to obtain are necessary

1. Describe a star that you admire
When I saw her the first time, I didn’t find anything able to attract me in her looks. She’s got an ordinary face with curly, chestnut hair and brown eyes. She didn’t possess a ***y body shape like supermodels'. However, when she burst into song, her face became emotional and shining. Actually, it’s not right to call her a star in the way that showbiz defined. She doesn’t have a great diva voice like Whitney Houston’s or Mariah Carey’s, and she doesn’t know to dance, to create scandals and produce hits like Madonna or Britney Spears. But she was cut out to be a singer-songwriter who writes and performs her song on her own. Her works are mixes of pop ballad, soft rock and adult contemporary, accompanied on piano or guitar by her and sang with a beautiful gentle voice. The first song of hers that I heard is “Angel”, which she wrote about a colleague who died of heroin overdose. When I listened to this song, everything around me became so silent, and I could only hear the melody and lyrics, which really touched my heart and gave me peacefulness. It was one of many wonderful and touching songs she wrote and sang, which were the only thing made her a truly talented artist. Since then, I’ve known her name – she is Sarah McLachlan.

2. Describe the process to flirt with someone you fancy.
Someday I will meet a girl that I have crush on at first sight, and everything I have to do is to make her become my girlfriend. The issue is how to do that. First, I will try to find out anything about her, including her name and birthday, her family, school, characteristic, habits, what she likes and dislikes, etc. After learning about them, I will seek to meet and talk to her regularly, for instance getting to her current class. When she and I have known each other, the next step is to improve my image by presenting on some special days (birthday, Valentine…). Finally, if I’m sure that she has a liking for me, I will ask her for a date and confess to her that I like her. If she accept, that means that I have succeeded. But what will I do if the fact is she doesn’t like me at all and everything is just my misconception?

2.1 Modern building are appearing in large number, some people believe that we should build our building in tra***onal style. Do you agree or disagree?
In this day and age, architectures of a city or a country repesent its cultural identification. However, we can see modern buidings has evolved significantly so it becomes more and more popular. Hence, there are those who claim that we should construct more tra***ional buildings. In this essay, I shall explore many benefits of this ideal.
In the first place, there is no doubt that tra***ional architectual culture is a unique cultural resource which deeply rooted in local communication. To be more specific, when we think of a country a a civilization, historical architectures are invariably the first cultural symbols to come to our minds. The pyramids of acient Egyptain and the Coliseum in Rome are good examples. Therefore, tra***ional architectures in a country are always the source of people’s pride and cultural indentification.
Futhermore, many people are not fond of modern style as they find these designs quite inhumance and similar with their noticable features are often stark and rec-tangular. As concequences, modern buildings such as sky-crabber are inaesthetic and possibly make people boring and uncomfortable to live and work.
While it may argued that tra***ional architecture style are being out of date, we also bear in mind that tra***ional contructive materials never lost their practical functions. For instance, the buildings convered by glass consume a vast power for heating and cooling system due to this modern material has high thermal-conductivity. Conversely, wooden and brick houses can keep heat far better.
*****m up, it is irrefutable that there are numerous advantages for architects returning to tra***ional style. Not only it reserve distinct national characteries, but it also brings beautiful aspect and realistic use.
2.2 Discuss the reasons why people define happiness differently and how to obtain happiness?
In large numbers around the world, people are nowadays expressing a deeply growing concern about happiness which is considered very important to our life. However, what is happiness? It seems difficult to define, for different people have different views. In this essay, I shall find out the causes of a person fell happily not similar to each other and cope up with some ways to attain happiness.
In the first place, there is no doubt that people have different perceptions about happiness which is such a complex of feeling, therefore it is very hard to define in general. To be more specific, this feeling varies from person to person depending on their physical, mental, emotional and social needs. For example, for a poverty stricken labourer, getting 3 decent meals a day would be a happy moment, whereas for a rich bussinessman it would be soaring profits that make him happy. Furthermore, it is likely that the diffence in awareness of happiness comes from age group. The youth usually seeking fame and wealth while the older are in pursuit of mental edification and health.
Then how to obtain happiness? I think happiness can be got in many ways from difficult to simple. Firstly, in order to be happy, we need to be patient and working hard. Every athele and scientist had experienced a long tough period of training and searching before achieving the success making them happy. Sencondly, if we have optimistic attitude, happiness will not be far away from us. In our a daily modern life, we should face a lot of problems about carrer, money, status unabling many worries and panics, but we always bear in mind that we have already had family and friends to share everything, we realised easily that true happiness might comes from the most simple.
*****m up, it is irrefutable that people have their various standpoints about happiness directly related to their desire in different needs and their age. Beside that, the way to happiness depends on each individual’s effort and right attitude of life.
