Topic : Write a paragraph to tell your difficulties when learning English.
Speaking English is probably the most difficult skill when I learn English . How to speak English fluently, accurately and clearly is not easy for me. To improve it, I should pay attention in pronunciation, intonation, vocabularly and grammar. That is the theory, but I hardly have chances to practise speaking English so everything is rather bad. Firstly, I speak English without stress on words, my voice doesn’t go up and down. According to my English teacher’s research, 80 per cent of Vietnamese students make mistakes in pronunciation and intonation like me. Secondly, when speaking English, I am usualy scared of using wrong words and I feel that my vocabularly isn’t enough to express my idea. By now, I haven’t found efficient methods to remember new words in a long time. Finally, whenever I speak English, I am used to speaking fast so my sentences are confusing with wrong grammar. In conclusion, these difficulties really make me feel reluctant to speak English so I hope they will be improved in the near future.

Tell your difficulty when learning English

English pronunciation is the first difficulty that learner face when learning English. There seem to be no rule for pronouncing correctly English word. The unique letter but in different words it is pronounced differently. For example, the “a” in bath and in cat is not pronounced in the same way. In ad***ion, one word in different forms are not pronounced the same although their spelling is similar. For instance, the pronoun of “ou” in south differs that of southern. Moreover, English word contained not only one syllable but two, three or even more. According to fun-with-words.com, the longest English word contains nineteen syllables that comprise from forty letters. That is an amazing to other languages. As a result, how to say them with right stress is quite a big problem to English learner. These example show that phonetic pronounce and word stress is the first obstacle in learning English.

People have become increasingly interested in assessing the correlation between technological development and leisure time .There is a viewpoint that "Technology promised to make our lives easier, freeing up time for leisure pursuits. But the rapid pace of technological innovation--and the millisecond processing capabilities of computers that can work virtually nonstop--have compressed our perception of time, says Geoffrey Godbey, professor of leisure studies at Pennsylvania State University. Paradoxically, we seem to have adopted the relentless pace of the very machines that were supposed to simplify our jobs.". –Wolfsom.
Admittedly, thanks to modern technology, people can thus spend less time on compulsory activities (e. g. , working , travel , calculate, etc.). On the other hand , technologies might on other occasions, give workers more flexibility in controlling their work and more quality time after work. In besides , there are some the negative things in it that I can take out evidence in practice.
As our ways of measuring time has evolved, perception of time has also evolved. We now feel more rushed than we have before. As technology develops more people are find themselves taking more of their work home with them. Work time rolls over into personal time and no longer do we feel like we have as much leisure time as before. It is noteworthy that we find ourselves answering the phone discussing about work during our own personal time. When something goes wrong at work, we are immediately called in to fix it. The fine line between work and leisure has been thinned. The increase in technology has caused us to be unable to distinct between work time and leisure time.
We are living in economic development at breakneck speed with which the factor unable forget is the development of technology. But with rate of work tirelessly of technology such as computer software, automation systems or robot attached smart chip replace the position of people in their work. Technology economy developed rapidly rushing, dynamic, ever-changing and highly demanding. Which is effect enabled us to compete more aggressively to not be disposed of and can find a stable position and standing well in society. So we spent time for learning, diversified professional qualifications rather than spend time relaxing with your family and take care of themselves or entertainment. In turn , people's leisure lives are continuously eroded also because of ubiquity of modern technological tools (e. g. , computers with Internet access and telecommunications equipment).
From what has been discussed, one understands that the development of technology has tremendous impacts on people's daily lives, although the exact unpads are not conclusive. When the proliferation of new technologies, such as computers, allows people to manage their own working time and accommodate family needs and lifestyle choices, it has locked them in a struggle to cope with more tasks in daily lives.

English pronunciation is the first obstacle. The pronunciation in English puzzles beginners because the same letter has different sounds. For example the letter “o” in “tomb” is different from “tom”, “e” in “breath” is also different from “e” in “breathe”. Ad***ionaly, English have stress word so when reading English we have to express strongly stress word. Compared with Vietnamese, English grammar is much easier. However, this does not mean that learners meet no difficulties in learning it. English grammar has a lot of tenses and they are used flexibly. In other hand, modern English grammar is different before, so English learners need to do many grammar exercises and read various grammar books. English is not my native language, so the difficulties in studing process are inevitable although I am really trying to learn.

Topic : Tell your difficulties when learning English
People have to cope with many problems of learning English but I think one of the biggest difficulties is pronunciation. In some cases, the same word is pronounced differently. Besides, you have to put stress in right place so listeners do not misunderstand you. It is hard to me to pronounce correctly and put stress right at the same time. During my highschool, I did not practise speaking English much and was not taught a thorough knowledge of pronunciation. As a result, I do not dare to talk to native speaker when I have a chance to meet them. In ad***ion, I find it difficult to understand native speaker and I think so do they. Finally, this problem makes me confused so I hope I will overcome it soon.

When I study English at my school, from primary school to high school, I just studied how to do the test grammartically correctly. I just studied the vocabulary by heart but i rarely used it in life situations so that they only stay in my head. The result is that when i talk with other people, even though i know the grammar and many vocabularies, i can not express what i thought. I can remember when i got into an english restaurant last year, i wanted to have chicken soup for my breakfast but unfortunately i did not know how to order politely. The waiter looked at me just like i was a fool and it really made me embarrassed, and i could think of nothing. All my English words seemed to fly away. And finally i said ‘chicken soap’. It was not because i didn’t know the word ‘soup’, it was just because it had flied away and the word ‘soap’ came to my mind. Now, i am trying to communicate with enlish speakers more often to use english in different situations. I hope that i will soon be able to overcome this difficulty to feel more confident when using english

I know that nowadays English is becoming more and more important and I need to study well but there are many difficults to study. I always make many targets to study every weeks however it is very hard to reach them. In my opinion, I feel difficult to study because I don’t spend time learning by heart new words. This isn’t easy for me to read the paragraph which has many new words, even I don’t know the way to use them, the way to pronounce them. Not learning the new words make me can’t have good skills: listening, speaking, writing, reading. I sometimes listen to the English’record, I can hear the way to pronounce this word but I don’t know what the word is . When I communicate with smb , it is difficult to find the word to talk because my vocabulary is very few. Because of all reasons, I try to learn by heart the new word. I spend time learning about 50 words per day. I stick them on the wall, evey where I can see. I spend more and more time listening English songs and learn new words from them. I know that I still have many difficults to become a good English learner but I will try to have the best result. Do you think I can be successful with my effort?

Tell about your difficulties when learning English

During my process of learning English, I have to face two main problems. The first one is that I don’t know how to memorize new words. In my opinion, learning new words plays an important role in studying a foreign language. With a wide vocabulary, you can express your ideas freely and make people understand your ideas easily. Nevertheless, remembering meanings of words has never been easy for me, as I have a bad memory for words. I can learn new words quite quickly, however I forget almost all of them after just a few days. Last week, for example, we studied a lot of words about “giving directions” topic in my English class, and I learned all the words carefully. A few days after that, I met a foreign visitor who was lost and he asked me for some directions to his hotel. It might have been a good opportunity for me to practice what I had learned, but in the end everything didn’t happen as I expected. Although I knew how to get to his hotel, I was unable to help him. The simple reason was that I forgot all the words I had learned and couldn’t find any words to say in order to make him understand me. If I had had a better memory, I wouldn’t have been in such embarrassing situation. The second reason that makes English difficult for me is its stress and intonation. Although I know basic rules to stress in sentences as well as how to use falling and rising intonation, I hasn’t been able to use them correctly. I have practized a lot, but it doesn’t seem to be effective. In fact, my English teacher still complains a lot about my speaking skill. She often asks me to read one sentence many times until it is pronouced accurately. In brief, it’s not only English’s words but also its stress and intonation that give me a lot of trouble when learning English.
