Mọi người góp sức để có trình duyệt Opera băng tiếng việt

có một trình duyệt internet bằng ngôn ngữ tiếng việt thật là tốt phải không các bác, chính vì thế em đã liên hệ với bọn Opera để yêu cầu việt hoá trình duyệt Opera, bọn chúng đẫ trả lời đồng ý và yêu cầu có người translate cho chúng. Nhưng trình độ English của em có hạn và một mình thì làm không nổi nên chạy sang box Englíh của các bác nhờ giúp đỡ, nếu các nhiệt tình thì giúp em một tay.

We would like to offer Opera localized to as many languages as possible,
and Vietnamese is certainly interesting! This is how we usually go about it:

We typically try out potential new translators with a piece of text, two
to three paragraphs. At the same time we provide a bit more detail about
what a translator does, and approximately how much work it is.

If both you and we are satisfied after that stage, there''''''''s a
contract/NDA we need you to sign. When you have done that, we''''''''ll give
you all the information and the files you need to start on the actual
translation.

theo tôi nghĩ chúng ta có thể lập một nhóm translator, mọi người ai muốn tham gia ( cái này là tự nguyện) thì đang kí và giới thiệu khả năng dịch của mình ( các bác tham khảo mail trả lời của opera ở phía dưới) sau đó gửi cho bọn opera. ( chúng ta có thể gửi mail trực tiếp đến opera và làm các translator độc lập, nhưng tôi nghĩ chúng ta nên lập thành một nhóm để chia sẻ công việc và trao đổi với nhau, tiếng Anh của em cũng hơi chuối nên sau vụ này hy vọng sẽ học được nhiều từ các bác)

**** Opera bây giờ vẫn là một trong những trình duyệt có tốc độ cao nhất ( hơn IE ) tránh được nạn pop up , và nó cũng ít bị các virus nhắm tới.
- lần trước tôi cũng tham gia translate cho bọn google, công việc này hoàn toàn tụ nguyện và không được trả công ( cùng lắm như bọn google sẽ gửi tặng áo phông và lời cảm on thôi)

LOCALIZED OPERA

Simply put, the way it works is that Opera picks up all the text strings
for the browser user interface (UI) from a LNG file. All the text
strings have unique IDs. Depending on what language the text strings in
the LNG file are in, the UI will appear in French, Polish, Korean or Arabic.

TRANSLATING

These are the files that MUST be translated:
- the language file (PO -> LNG)
- readme.txt

The big job the language file, especially if Opera has never been
translated to the language in question before. The number of strings to
be translated runs up to a 4-digit number...! Of course, updates are a
lot easier

You can also translate these if you want to:
- translate.ini
- search.ini
- HTML help files

The HTML help files are a fairly big job too, but you don''''t have to
translate those

You receive the files to be translated from Opera. The files included
with the public version of the browser are parsed (''''generated'''') from our
originals or translations of same, so translating the English.lng that
is included with the public Opera version won''''t do.

When the files are translated, we build and upload a test version to be
tested and approved -- or not -- by the translator. If it''''s Good To Go,
we make it public

CONTRACT

Everyone who is going to translate for Opera must sign a contract/NDA first.

PAYMENT

Obviously, the localized Opera versions are worth a lot to us. We''''d like
to pay you all handsomely for the job, but unfortunately we simply don''''t
have the possibility to do so.

You do get a registration key for your troubles, though, and we make
sure that any t-shirts and similar that the regular employees get are
also sent to you.

Personal bar

The Personal bar is a toolbar that can consist of bookmarks, folders
with bookmars, or your favourite search engines, for instant access. You
can configure all this yourself simply by dragging and dropping from the
Hotlist. You can choose a bookmark folder in your Hotlist, and make it
display on your Personal bar by right-clicking and selecting Show in
Personal bar. You can also choose the search tools that appear in your
Personal bar by right-clicking your mouse on the bar itself and viewing
the options available.

Page bar

The page bar acts like Windows'''' own taskbar; if you have several
documents open at once, you can select the document window you wish to
view by clicking a button in the window bar.

Tip: You can close pages by holding down Shift while clicking on the
page bar tabs.

Ad banner

The ad banner displays advertisements in the top right corner of the
free version of Opera. If you wish to remove it and free ad***ional
space on your screen, you may purchase a license for Opera here.

Address bar

The Address bar consists of the following items (seen from left to right):

Padlock icon
Shows the level of security on a page

Image button
Toggle images on/off in the window

It''s already done I think. Have you heard of Vietkey Linux? Vietnamese version of Opera is part of the Vietkey Linux distribution. Sorry to break this news to you, Kevin.
But if you really want to contribute, there''s a lot of documentation in Vietky Linux that have not been translated (like users'' guide, help files, etc.).
To anyone interested: please contact Vietkey group, they need many, many volunteers like you guys.
