A FRAGMENT of a piano duet by Mozart, believed to have been composed in 1791, the year he died, was sold for Ê355,750 yesterday, setting a record for a single piece of music.
The working draft shows an unfinished movement in G minor which breaks off after 161 bars. The piece was bought by an anonymous bidder at Christie's in London for far more than the Ê50,000 to Ê70,000 estimate.
