JUST ONE LAST THOUGHT FOR THE EVENING. I HAVE FOUND MYSELF DOING REALLY DUMB THINGS LATELY AND AM WONDERING IF I AM AN IDIOT. FOR EXAMPLE-I TAKE OUT A CAN OF SOUP TO EAT FOR LUNCH. THE TYPE OF SOUP IS IRRELEVANT FOR THE SAKE OF MY POINT-(IT WAS PRITIKIN SPLIT PEA). I POUR THE SOUP INTO ONE OF MY COPPER PANS, AND GO OUTSIDE TO HAVE A CIGARETTE(AMERICAN SPIRITS --YELLOW). NOW THESE CIGARETTES TAKE ABOUT FIVE MINUTES TO SMOKE.. PLENTY OF TIME FOR THE SOUP TO HEAT THROUGH. I GO BACK INTO THE KITCHEN, TAKE OUT A BOWL AND SOME CRACKERS AND AM READY TO EAT. DAMN, I FORGOT TO TURN THE BURNER ON! TIME FOR ANOTHER CIGARETTE. THEN OF COURSE THERE WAS THE TIME I WENT TO GO THE BATHROOM-(NUMBER ONE, FOR THE CURIOUS), AND I FORGOT TO REMOVE BOTH MY PANTS and MY UNDERWEAR..VERY MESSY AND QUITE EMBARRASSING. GOOD THING NOONE WAS AROUND TO WITNESS IT. LIKE I SAID, DUMB THINGS. AND SO I PONDER. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE AN IDIOT? IS IT A LIFE LONG DEDICATION TO EMBARRASSING BEHAVIOR? IS IT A MOMENTARY LAPSE OF COGNITIVE THOUGHT? IS IT A SIMPLE LACK OF INTELLIGENCE? PERHAPS IT IS ALL OF THE ABOVE. IF THAT IS THE CASE, I CERTAINLY FALL INTO ONE OF THOSE CATEGORIES. UNFORTUNATE FOR ME, BECAUSE I HAVE ALWAYS MADE FUN OF IDIOTS. I MEAN, WHAT''''''''S NOT TO MAKE FUN OF? INDULGE ME, THIS LAST THOUGHT FOR THE EVENING. IDIOT, AS DEFINED BY WEBSTERS DICTIONARY IS "A FOOLISH OR STUPID PERSON". IDIOM AS DEFINED BY WEBSTERS DICTIONARY IS "A STYLE OR FORM OF ARTISTIC EXPRESSION THAT IS CHARACTERISTIC OF AN INDIVIDUAL, A PERIOD OR MOVEMENT". I GUESS I HAVE ANSWERED MY OWN QUESTION.
