It doesn''t necessarily take four-letter words to phrase a good swear. If you have an imaginative mind then you''re on your own!

"A good swearer" ^^ HAHAHAHAH! I haven''t heard that phrase in years. However, I aggree with you as they way one swears reflects one''s intellectuality, and quoting or learning should be minised as much as possible. =)

tks for above post. i have heard, seen those however have not found the connections before stumbling into this topic. while on the phone with my friend who has been in UK for 12 years, i notice she utters "gosh" but she cant explain why "gosh" instead of "god". can you tell me why?
one phrase i know: "stop jacking your monkey/stop jacking off/ stop spanking your monkey, lets club now"

tks for above post. i have heard, seen those however have not found the connections before stumbling into this topic. while on the phone with my friend who has been in UK for 12 years, i notice she utters "gosh" but she cant explain why "gosh" instead of "god". can you tell me why?

The reason for avoidance of saying "god" is because in one of the Christian commandments it is a sin to say the Lord''s name in vain. That is, when you say "God" it shouldn''t be out of any other emotion other than a complete sense of calmness and in a praying situation.
Heck, again is to do with religion. You avoid saying "Hell" since it is a ''supertituos'' word to say.
Darn, damn, ect..are probably all to do with old tra***ions of avoiding saying words that are religiously wrong.
