Khi gió đồng ngát hương, rợp trời chim én luợn
Cây nẩy đầy chồi xanh chim én bay yên lành
Em chợt đến bên anh dịu dàng như cơn gió nhẹ
Mà lòng anh để ngỏ cho tình em mơn man.
Em là cánh én nhỏ chao xuống giữa đời anh
Cho lòng anh xao động thành mùa xuân ngọt ngào
Én về én lại xa, mùa xuân không ở lại.
Riêng anh em gần mãi
Nên đời vẫn, đời vẫn xuân trào.

Em ở trong này chưa thấy mùa đông
Nắng vẫn đỏ mận hồng đào cuối vụ
Trời Sài Gòn xanh cao quyến rũ
Thật diệu kỳ là mùa đông phương Nam
Muốn gửi ra anh một chút nắng vàng
Thương cái rét của thợ cày thợ cấy
Nên cứ muốn chia nắng đều ra ngoài ấy
Có tình thương tha thiết của trong này
Em vẫn hiểu sức vươn của những cánh đào
Qua giá rét vẫn đỏ hoa ngày tết
Như cây thông vững vàng trong giá rét
Anh hãy làm cây thông xanh nghe anh
Khi hai miền cùng vào một vụ chiêm
Hai vựa thóc cùng nặng tình của đất
Cùng vào trận một ngày vui thống nhất
Hơn lúc nào em thấu hiểu lòng anh
Gửi nắng cho anh gửi nắng cho anh
Gửi nắng về sưởi ấm những bàn tay
(Mong nhạc sĩ và nhà thơ thứ lỗi vì cháu đã mạn phép đổi đại từ nhân xưng của bài hát).
