For Valentinê?Ts Day, the guy I just started dating, sent me a card and half of a two dollar bill with the note: "I gave you a half of a $2 bill. I will have the other half in my wallet with me at all times. When we are together my half and your half will be a whole, and those ones make a two like you and me, 1+1=2." 14 Days Of Valentines
I went to a dollar store and bought 14 little gifts. I gave them to him one day at a time from February 1st to the 14th. I gave him his real present on Valentines Day, but it was fun for him to have 14 days of Valentines instead of just one. -submitted by superxveg

365 Reasons Why!
For Valentines Day, I gave my husband a box shaped like a heart and placed a total of 365 notes, letters, special memories, just wonderful things about us, about him and about me. I wrote my Valentine card and said that I poured my heart, soul, and love into the box, please pull out a note everyday which is a part of me. Hopefully, every Valentines Day I will replace the box with 365 more notes--forever.

A Room Full Of Love!
For Valentine's Day last year I didn't have a lot of funds, so I decided on a unique homemade gift to give to my boyfriend. I started at the beginning of the week, leaving notes and other little surprises in his car, and around his room. On Valentine's Day, while he was out, I decorated his entire room with paper hearts. I brought fishing line, tape, and lots of little red, pink, and white paper hearts (both hearts and the outline of hearts). I hung them from everything and all over the ceiling, plus I strung them on the fishing line and draped them over everything. Right in front of his door I hung the letters ?oI L Y? cut out of paper (our way to say I Love You online), and I wrote an ?oI L Y? note and placed it on his computer screen where I knew he'd see it. I wish I could have seen the look on his face when he saw his room! He liked it so much he left them up for over a month. He still has a few left to this day. This is definitely a great way to show someone you care without spending a lot of money. -submitted by Lonni Bethke

A Special Love Song
Though I don't play an instrument or sing very well..I still wrote a song and had a friend who's an aspiring musician sing it for me..it was professionally done..labels and all on the cassette..I went to our favorite radio station and begged and pleaded for them to play it..I brought her down to our favorite beach just in time for sunset on valentine's ..if you could only see her face when they read the dedication and played the song !!! A Sweet For You
My boyfriend and I live quite a ways away from each other. We weren?Tt able to be together for Valentinê?Ts Day this year. So, I remembered when I was a child we learned to make boxes for our classmates to put our cards in. I took a regular lunch bag and found little foam letters. I glued each letter of his name on the bag in the center. I also put our saying on the bag in red crayon. Then I took ribbon and glued little curly q?Ts all over the bag. I drew little hearts all over it. It almost looked like a child did it LOL. Then I filled it with home made cookies and brownies. A Valentine's Surprise
Me and my girlfriend had been with each other for about 5 months. I was going to an art college in Ohio and she lived in West Virginia. Neither of us were going to be able to see each other on Valentines day. So I drew her a cartoon picture of me as an angel whose arms stretched out holding my glowing heart. The picture took me two weeks to finish. I put it in a picture frame and sent it to her. On Valentine's day I also got a package from her. All over the package was little messages that said I Love You! I opened it up to find a shoe box. Inside of the shoe box was a teddy bear, a letter, and 100's of hershey kisses and hugs. In the letter, she wrote that the teddy bear was for those cold lonely nights when she wasn't there for me to hold. She also said that she wanted to give me plenty of hugs and kisses on Valentines day. I will never forget that day. I sleep with the bear every night and I'm 19 years old. The guys in collage picked on me pretty bad but! I don't care because I have something so much more... LOVE!

A Valentine's Week Of Love
My boyfriend and I lived in Perth while doing our undergrad studies. As students, we did not have much money to spend expensive Valentinê?Ts day dinners or presents. But it was such a memorable Valentine's for me because my boyfriend actually came home with a red rose for me every day of the week - complete with thorns and all. It was even more so, when I found out that he was actually stealing the roses from the next suburb! I couldn?Tt stay mad at him, he had cuts on his fingers from picking the roses! It was such a sweet thing! On Valentinê?Ts day itself, he made a beautiful bath full of rose petals. He made a rose bed for me. A weekend for two
This year for Valentine's Day, I gave my boyfriend a romantic weekend for two in Seattle. My travel agent called me with info about a great vacation package that included airline tickets and 2 nights in a premiere hotel. Seattle is a great city for a romantic weekend. Most of the things that would interest visitors to the city are all downtown within walking distance so there's no need to hassle with car rentals. We spent the weekend strolling through the Pike's Street Market hand-in-hand and doing some terrific big city shopping downtown. When he asked why I would give him such an extravagant gift, I told him the truth. I simply wanted to spend a whole weekend with him with no interruptions from the phone or friends and family just dropping in without warning. To me, it was a small price to pay for some "us" time. It was also a turning point in our relationship and we are now shopping for our first home together. The wedding is set for next summer. -submitted by Anonymous

On Valentine's Day, I had a class early in the morning in this building on campus. As I walked toward the building I noticed that there were flyers posted everywhere. I just thought someone was really trying to advertise something. When I got closer, I realized that they all said, "Jama, I love you...will you be mine? Love, Brian." An Occasion For Travel
My boyfriend's 45th birthday was coming up, and I still did not have a present for him. It seemed to me that he had everything I could possibly give him. The day before his birthday I was miserable then ever, and still did not know what to give him. I decided to go to the mall and maybe to find something there. On the way to the mall, I passed by a flower store and a travel agent's office. The flower store offered very nice baskets, because Valentinê?Ts Day was coming up in few days and there were very nice posters in the window of the travel agent?Ts office. While I was staring at the baskets and the posters, I got the idea. I did not have to go far. My presents were right here. I went in the flower store and ordered 45 red roses in a basket, and next door I ordered a trip for two for a few days in Florida.
When the flower guy delivered the flowers, my boyfriend was standing by the door totally speechless. When he brought the basket into the house and put it on the table, he still was staring at it for a while. He said that he had never received so many flowers in his life and definitely not in one time. When he opened an envelope, he looked at me with such amazement that I had never seen before. At first he did not believe me that the tickets were real and we really were going to be in Florida tomorrow. Then he said that I'm crazy, still staring at the flowers and at the tickets, realizing that we were really going tomorrow to Florida. We flew from NJ to Florida, had a romantic dinner and wonderful night and enjoyed his birthday for few more days. Another Valentine Day Idea
For our 1st Valentine's Day together, which was about 3 years ago, my boyfriend did the sweetest thing for me. I was a senior in high school back then and when I got out of school that day I found the best surprise! He had gotten the spare key to my truck from my mother and he blew about 30 balloons by himself and filled my truck with them. He also made a little wooden plaque with our names on it. There was one single rose with a card and a big heart balloon attached. When I went got out of school and opened the door to my truck, all the balloons fell out and were wisked away by the wind. He soon drove up and we kissed and hugged each other in the parking lot!

Application For Love
My fiancee and I have been on a long distance relationship for four years. After I graduated from College, he popped the question and we got engaged last November. I was real happy but all I said was "yes" and wanted to show him how much I loved to be his forever somehow... So I wrote a cover letter and resume to apply for the position to be his wife and sent him for Valentine's. I explain why I would like to apply for the position and how I am qualified for it in a cover letter. Then my resume was filled with history of events and time we spent together over the past fours years. They look so serious for a second but what's written are hilarious and special for us. My fiancee loved it and enjoyed it so much. If you would like to let your love know how much you want to be with him too, this is a thought. -submitted by Yoko

Give your honey a jar of honey! Pick up one of those honey bears from the grocery store, and attach a tag that says "bee mine." A variation would be to get a cut chunk of honeycomb from a health food or specialty shop. Book of I Love You's
Last Valentinê?Ts day, I had no idea what to do for my boyfriend, while I was searching on the web, I thought of an idea. I made him a book, and for everyday we had been going out there was a different reason why I loved him, on the front cover was a poem. I decorated it with heart stickers, and tied it together with a ribbon. He loved it; he still keeps it on his desk beside his bed, and reads it all the time. -submitted by Jemie
Buried Treasure
I took my love to the beach for Valentinê?Ts day. For a little spice, I took a small chest, wrote a poem on a heart shaped piece of paper, and placed it in the box. I also placed petals from a rose, candy hearts and a ring. I went to the beach before hand and buried the chest under the sand. When I took her to the beach later that night, I blindfolded her and took her to a spot where I had a blanket and some candles in the sand. After we ate, I told her to start digging with a plastic shovel and she found the chest. It was a very romantic night. -submitted by Anonymous
Candlelit Evening Surprise
It was our first Valentine's Day that we were spending together and I wanted to do something special for my boyfriend, but I didn't want to do anything that was very expensive. So the night before, I made chocolate covered strawberries and I also got some Hershey kisses. I took out the Hershey paper and replaced it with something sweet that started with the letter of his name. With each piece of paper I spelled out his name. I distracted him while my mom fixed up the back room. The lights were out and candles were burning and the kisses and chocolate covered strawberries were all arranged. On Valentine's Day, I wrote my girlfriend a letter with many blank spaces. The spaces were left open for candy conversation hearts, which I gave to her as she read the letter. She was pretty happy to say the least. It was in the evening and we were on a porch swing out in the peaceful country, so the mood was perfect.
