Manufacturing tea ( type : Process - Task 1)
Tea is regarded as one of the most popular beverages in the world today. Nevertheless, not many people may be aware of how tea is manufactured. This report will describe the processes of tea production.
There are several stages in the production of tea. Firstly, the bud and the tender leaves are plucked from the tea bush before being transported to the factory. In the factory, the tea leaves are firstly withered to remove as much moisture as possible from the tea. This stage takes from 18 to 24 hours. In the next stage, the rolling process takes between 2 and 3 hours and prepares the tea leaves for the fermenting process. After being fermented for 30 minutes to 5 hours, the tea leaves are fired in ovens, with purpose of removing the last moisture from it. Afterwards, the tea leaves are cut, sift, sorted and graded at the same time. Before being exported, the tea is packed into tea chests. Next, the tea is tasted and auctioned by experts to appraise tea''''s quality. Finally, tea is packed into tea bags or tea boxes in order to delivering to consummers.
