    The Beatles perform at the Kaiserkeller Club, Grosse Freiheit,
    Hamburg, West Germany.

    The Beatles perform at Village Hall in Knotty Ash, Liverpool.

    1962
    The Beatles perform at Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight, Birkenhead, as
    top act for a dance promoted by the local Recreations Association.

    1962
    Before their live performance that night, The Beatles tape a radio
    interview to be broadcast to the patients of local hospitals via
    the closed-circuit radio station within each hospital. The
    program, consisting of an interview, is first broadcast the next
    day, on the regular show "Sunday Spin". This interview is released
    in 1986 on a flexi-disc included with Mark Lewisohn's "The Beatles
    Live!"

    Touring Sweden, The Beatles perform three shows at the Cirkus in
    Goteborg, Sweden.

    Ringo Starr begins recording his first solo album, to be called
    "Sentimental Journey". This is the first solo studio album
    recorded by a Beatle.

    US release of Wings single "Venus and Mars - Rock Show
    (medley)/Magneto and Titanium Man" (Capitol). 9 weeks on Billboard
    chart; highest position #12.

    US release of John Lennon/Yoko Ono single "(Just Like) Starting
    Over [John]/Kiss Kiss Kiss [Yoko]" (Geffen).

    US re-release of Disc 1 from the Beatles' 1976 compilation double
    LP "Rock and Roll Music" as "Rock and Roll Music - Vol. 1"
    (Capitol).

    US re-release of Disc 2 from the Beatles' 1976 compilation double
    LP "Rock and Roll Music" as "Rock and Roll Music - Vol. 2"
    (Capitol).

    US release of Ringo Starr LP "Stop and Smell the Roses"
    (Boardwalk). Songs: "Private Property", "Wrack My Brain",

    Fall", "Nice Way", and "Back Off Boogaloo" (version 2). Also
    released same day is Ringo's single "Wrack My Brain/Drumming Is My

    US release of George Harrison LP "Gone Troppo" (Dark Horse).
    Songs: "Wake Up My Love", "That's the Way It Goes", "I Really Love
    You", "Greece", "Gone Troppo", "Mystical One", "Unknown Delight",
    "Baby Don't Run Away", "Dream Away", and "Circles".

    US release of posthumous John Lennon CD "Menlove Avenue"
    (Capitol). Songs: "Here We Go Again", "Angel Baby" (artificially
    lengthened, so it runs longer than the version found on the
    unauthorized "Roots" LP), "My Baby Left Me", "To Know Her Is to
    Love Her", "Rock and Roll People", and alternate versions of "Steel
    and Glass", "Scared", "Old Dirt Road", "Nobody Loves You (When
    You're Down and Out)", and "Bless You". None of these tracks had
    been previously issued on authorized releases.

    US release of Frank Zappa double CD (Barking Pumpkin). Includes
    remixes of live recordings featuring Zappa with John and Yoko at
    the Fillmore East on June 6, 1971 (and originally issued on the
    Lennon/Ono album "Some Time in New York City").

    UK release of John Lennon compilation LP "Lennon Legend"
