Các bạn du học sinh Việt Nam nên rất cẩn thận. Từ Mỹ sang Mễ (Tj) không có ai thèm xét giấy tờ các bạn đâu. Nhưng từ Mễ khi quay trỡ lại Mỹ mới là vấn đề. Nếu là du học sinh thì trước khi ra khõi Mỹ phãi chắc chắn rằng mình vẫn có thễ quay trỡ lại Mỹ được, nên vào http://uscis.gov/graphics/index.htm đễ tìm hiểu vấn đề và tình trạng visa cũa mình phãi làm như thế nào hơn là chĩ hõi thăm qua loa những travel agent.

Trời ạ, lại phải tìm lại cái site cái. Nó viết rõ ràng rằng nếu sv F1 đi Canada hoăc Mexico và mấy cái vùng gì Cariberian gì đó thì ko cần phải xin visa quay lại Mỹ nếu như đi trong vòng 30 ngày và trong thời hạn đó đừng có lon ton mà đi xin visa ở nước thứ 3. Nếu xin visa ở nước thứ 3 mà bị từ chối là phải về nước, nhưng mà ko xin thì hộ chiếu có hết hạn vẫn quay lại được.
Để lúc nào rảnh tớ tìm lại cái site, nhưng mà cũng chỉ loanh quanh ở cái mấy cái site của các bác ISN thôi, giờ đổi thành cái gì chả bao giờ nhớ.
À mà đấy là tớ chỉ nói visa về lại Mỹ thôi đấy nhé.

The Department of State (DOS) has published an interim rule affecting travel to ?ocontiguous territory? (Canada and Mexico) and ?oadjacent islands? (islands in the Caribbean except Cuba) and return to the U.S. The new rule takes effect on 01 April 2002.
In brief, the rule changes the key parts of the ?oautomatic revalidation? provision of the DOS regulation at 22 CFR 41.112 regarding vali***y of visas. That provision allows students and scholars to travel to contiguous territory and adjacent islands and return to the U.S. using an expired visa or an older, different visa for those who have changed status in the U.S.
The two major changes are:
1. Citizens of states that sponsor terrorism cannot use ?oautomatic revalidation? provisions at all. The DOS has identified seven ineligible countries; they are: Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Sudan and Syria.
2. If a person applies for a visa of any kind at a U.S. embassy or consulate while visiting Canada, Mexico, or the Caribbean, that person is not permitted to return to the U.S. under the ?oautomatic revalidation? provisions.
NOTE: if you only want to vacation for less than 30 days, no problem ?" nothing has changed. As long as you still hold a valid visa document, such as an I-20 or IAP-66, and your I-94 card, then you can still be readmitted to the U.S. on an expired visa stamp. If, however, it is your intention to use the trip simply to apply for a new visa stamp for future travel, understand that if the visa is denied, you will not be able to re-enter the U.S. until you have a valid visa.
Students and scholars should understand that as long as you hold a valid I-20 or a valid IAP-66, you can remain in the U.S. if your visa stamp has expired. The regulatory change does not impede your ability to continue and complete your programs of study. International travel, however, is a personal choice, and this change may prompt persons to think carefully about their travel plans.
