có một số top university còn dễ vào hơn LAC nhưng cũng cho aids ví dụ:
Darthmouth College: www.dartmouth.edu đây là một trong 8 Ivy League ở Mỹ nhưng nếu so về độ khó vào thì có lẽ còn thua một số LAC như Amherst, Williams, Swarthmore...
University of Chicago: www.uchicago.edu, dễ vào hơn hẳn mấy trường top và là một trường cực kỳ nổi tiếng ở Mỹ nhưng mà không cho aids cho sv quốc tế, chỉ có merit-based scholarship thôi.
Brown Univ: www.brown.edu cũng có cho aids và là một trong 8 Ivy League
Cornell University: www.cornell.edu cũng thế.
các cô các chú cứ phải thử bừa vào. univ hay LAC thì cũng thế, nó cứ cho tiền thì nhẩy vào mà làm phát, sợ gì. 8 cái Ivy League ở Mỹ: harvard, Yale, Princeton, University of Pennsylvania, Brown, Cornell, Dartmouth, Columbia đều có cho aids hết mà ngoài 3 trường đầu ra, các trường sau nói chung là cũng chỉ tương đương các top LAC về độ khó vào.

true. I can''t think of a good/well known school that does not require the SAT. A high SAT score does not mean the world. One who scores 1600 on the SAT is not definitely smarter or more academically promising than one who scores 1300. Nevertheless, schools in the States have long made the SAT an important factor in the application and that will not change naytime soon. It is like the fact that the TOEFL is used to judge an international student''s command of the English language (although I believe one who does well on the SAT verbal should be waived of the TOEFL.) However, in most cases today, you can subtitute the SAT with the ACT, which I believe, is slightly easier for Vietnamese students since the ACT is much less intense on the verbal aspect. I can think of Harvard as one that does not require the TOEFL of international applicants and Bates as one that waives the SAT most applicants (I hope this is correct, i read about it a while ago so my memory can be wrong.) It is still advisable that if u have a favorable SAT score (1300 up I guess,) submit it. It will strengthen your application greatly... and it''s not that hard to score 1300, imo. 750 Math and 550 Verbal would do it.
Keep in mind though, most schools in the states are aware that you will have trouble with the SAT verbal if your native language is not English. A little low score can be tolerated, but the math score has to be high (desirably 750-800.)

Những trường mà ko require thì hơi có vấn đề, phải soi lại, thế nên bây giờ em mới cuống cuồng thi mấy cái của khỉ này chứ. Nhưng mà vẫn có trường cho SAT là optional thật. We believe that the SAT-optional policy will more closely align our application process with the College''s mission. The admission process is a window into the culture and values of this institution. Because the SAT does not measure the range of intellectual and motivational qualities that our educational environment requires, we wish to de-emphasize its role in our admission decisions. While the SAT and other standardized tests have taken on exaggerated importance in public perceptions about the college admission process, SAT scores presently, in fact, carry only about 10% of the weight in admission decisions at Mount Holyoke.
Mount Holyoke?Ts application process is thorough and individualized and includes, among many components, a comprehensive review of a student''s high school record within the context of extensive data on the quality of that school. Hì, đấy em là em chứng minh là có trường cho SAT là optional chứ em ko bảo nó ko quan trọng, tất nhiên giữa 2 đứa cùng apply, GPA, essay, letter of recommendation, extra cirricular activities ngang ngửa nhau thì đứa nào submit SAT tầm > 1350 phải được đánh giá cao hơn chứ, em cũng chả dại mà ko thi SAT. À mà ai ngại học Verbal thì khỏi thi SAT I, cũng có trường chỉ require SAT II thôi còn SAT I là optional, điển hình là Connecticut College hay Amherst ý (nếu nhớ ko nhầm).
Tiện thể anh Long cho em hỏi Rhodes College có được ko ạ? Xem qua thì bọn này có vẻ ko thích cho Inlt students tiền thì phải, nhưng mà bây giờ em phải tìm 1 số trường khác với mấy đứa lớp em đi, đụng độ thế này kinh quá!

MHC cũng cho SAT optional rồi à, lâu ngày không cập nhật nên không biết nếu mà MHC thế thì dễ rồi Smith cũng chạy theo lắm.
anh không biết nhiều về Rhodes lắm đâu. chỉ biết đây là một trường cũng khá có truyền thống ở Mỹ. hình như là nằm ở Memphis thì phải thành ra ở New England cũng không có tiếng tăm lắm. chuyênj tiền nong thì anh càng ko biết.
em xem thử Reed College ở Oregon xem: www.reed.edu trường này một năm có dành ra 10 full scholarship cho sv quốc tế. không quá khó vào nhưng rất được nể trong giới academia ở Mỹ. Bọn US News rank nó thấp là vì chúng nó ko nộp info cho US News.... mà nói chung cái US News thì cuũng nên tin vừa thôi, mấy cái ranking chỉ là tương đối là chính.
