Yeah I think this is an interesting idea. Yesterday I read a report on Domestic Violence. Why don''t we discuss about it? Do you think in Vietnam nowadays we have many domestic violence? How can we solve this big problem? Is there domestic violence in your family?

I completely agree with 2 of u on opinion of practising English by writing some particular topics. Well, to begin with the topic on domestic violence, I think it has actually happened in every society and Vietnam is not exeption also. It gives negative impacts on individuals, especially in women and children. However, in my opinion, it is really dificult to deal with this problem because of some reasons. 1st, it is view by many people, even by policy makers, as a private problem in which others should not interfere. As a result, Vietnam is lacking of some instutional regulations to this problem such as law, decree, ..etc....2nd, it is due to victims silence and unawareness of problem serious, resulting in the fact that it is very rarely informed to the authorities. So, domestic violence can be terminated when some above - mentioned questions can be answered. It is my opinion on this topic. Ah, in ad***ion, fortunately that I have never met this trouble in my family
By this way, I''d like to ask u who''re preparing for IELTS exam. Can we create new subject focusing on preparing for IELTS writing exam? For example, we give a new topic, then we all try to practise it in permitted time (40 minutes for Writing task 2). Then, we can give comments on some essays from others. Do it strictly, learning from the others. I thinks it is good way to improve our writing skill in general and especially, useful to our preparation for IELTS exam in particular.

@Yesterday: If everyone thinks like you, this topic will die soon, hik hik. Besides, when we write something and post it in here, everyone can read and right it for you if you have something wrong. But if we just chat in private, no one could read, no one knows our opinions.

Domestic violence? Ahaha. My neighbours. >< .They live next door to me. They''re a couple but they also talking with each other by the way of yelling out. How can I know that? Because I were always hearing their voices and the sound of broken glasses when my family had dinner. But they''ve moved house. ^ - ^.
Arguments always occur in families. People always want the others listen to them, so big voices are very useful in those situations. And sometimes, husbands don''t agree with wives but these women don''t want to accept their husbans'' ideas, so arguments begin. And to make their wives listen to them, they use violence. That''s all. Maybe it''s just because they''re so angry and they can''t control their behaviours, but in some cases, those things happen because they act like people who have lives like dust. (I don''t want to say so, but it''s real in our lives, some old women.>&lt

Domestic violence is a kind of pathologic. One of the pair (or both) is an abnormal person. He tends to make hurt to his mate. It is a tragedy for a family which has some one like that.
The abnormal one should be healed. Both mental and phisycial. He should go to see a psychiatrist. Sometimes the reason is bad memory since the childhood time.

Tớ biết đã có topic tìm bạn học nhóm tiếng Anh rồi và các bạn đã hoạt động rất tốt. Tớ cũng rất muốn tham gia nhưng vì một số lý do mà tớ ko thể học cùng các bạn được. Cho nên tớ lập topic này để tìm kiếm các bạn cũng giống như tớ ko sẵp xếp được thời gian đến luyện speaking. Mình sẽ luyện speaking online qua skype. Có thể ngày nào cũng nói chỉ khoảng 30'' thôi cũng rất tốt hoặc có thể là 1 tuần 3 buổi (tốt nhất là buổi tối). Buổi hôm nay sẽ đưa ra topic cho buổi sau. Bất kể topic nào mà các bạn thích và các bạn có thể nói tự do, thích nói gì thì nói giống như là nói chuyện phiếm xung quanh chủ đề đấy. Ai nghe ko hiểu chỗ nào có thể trực tiếp hỏi lại luôn, ko hiểu thì mình có thể viết ra qua cửa sổ chat để giải thích cho mọi người. Ko biết có bạn nào có hứng thú với cách học này hay ko nhỉ ? Hoặc nếu các bạn muốn thay đổi trong cách học để hiệu quả hơn thì cứ đề xuất, chúng mình cùng bàn luận.
