    Pre-selection for a Ph.D. grant (foreign students)
    A full 3-years Ph.D. scholarship (2009-2011) is now available at the Dept. of Electrical Engineering for students coming from abroad (non-italian citizen)

    A grant for a Ph.D. course in Electrical Engineering is available for three years, starting from January 1, 2009. Only foreign citizen can apply.

    The grant amount is about 1000 ,/month, with a possible 50% increment during stays abroad of Italy (max. 6 months/year). Low-cost rooms and accomodation grants are also available in Bologna for qualified Ph.D. students (specific yearly competitions).

    The Ph.D. course will be focused on power electronics, with particular reference to: multilevel inverters, and/or multiphase inverters, and/or power electronics for renewable energy. The official language of this Ph.D. course is english.

    The pre-selection is now open, deadline: june 22, 2008.

    The Ph.D. candidates must send by email to prof. G.Grandi (Ph.D. advisor) the following documentation in pdf format:

    detailed curriculum;

    pubblications (if any);

    presentation letter (mandatory) from a professor working in the field of power electronics at the foreing University.
    The official final call for Ph.D. courses in Electrical Engineering will be announced in the late summer 2008.
