Postdoc research position in semantic multimedia retrieval

In the Human Media Interaction (HMI) group of the Computer Science department at the University of Twente funding is available for a postdoc position in the HMI multimedia retrieval team.
We are looking for a postdoc researcher that can take up work on concept-based multimedia indexing, metadata extraction from audio/video and/or cross-language search. Current research on these topics is strongly evaluation-driven and is conducted within the context of the IST-project MESH, and the bsik program MultimediaN.

The HMI group consists of more than forty researchers (including 18 Ph.D. students), and 50 masters students.
The position will be available from April 1, 2007.
Duration: up to two years.

Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science or a related area
- active research interests for one or more of the research themes mentioned above
- strong track record in team work
- ability *****pervise MSc and PhD students
- good programming and scripting skills (C/C++, Perl and alike)
- comfortable with Linux environment

Con***ions of employment
Postdoc salaries start at 3,024 euro gross per month (figures based on full-time employment, CAO Nederlandse Universiteiten); maximum dependent on experience. Duration of the contract: up to two years. Hours per week: 32-40.

Còn tuỳ các pác để được bao nhiêu nữa, chứ mấy ông anh làm Ph.D bên Mỹ kêu trời kêu đất về làm postdoc, hình như mấy ổng gọi là hotdog thì phải.
