các bạn cho mình hỏi:
mình mới kết thúc khoá học B.IT va đến 18/7 náy sẽ có kết quả để mang đi nộp cho ACS for skill assessment. Nhưng visa của mình đến 30/7 là đã hết hạn. Mình biết là phải xin Graduate Temporary Visa nhưng không biết có kịp không vì theo thông tin trên immi.gov.au thì phải apply for Graduate Temporary Visa ít nhất 2 tuần trước khi visa hết hạn. Trong khi đó, nộp đơn cho ACS rồi quay ra thì chỉ con 10 ngày để apply for Graduate Temporary Visa. Lỡ mà mình chưa nhận được kết quả của Graduate Temporary Visa mà đã hết hạn visa thì có sao không nhỉ (unlawful status?)
có bạn nào biết giúp mình với, what can i do now?

Graduate Temporary Visa sẽ được cấp ngay lập tức nếu bạn apply đúng thủ tục. Thật ra nếu 18/7 bạn mới apply skilled assessment thì vẫn cần receipt của nó để xin Graduate Temporary Visa. Theo mình, bạn có 2 cách lựa chọn:
1/ Đợi đến khi có receipt của Skilled Assessment rồi apply Graduate Temporary Visa.
2/ Xin tourist visa để tiếp tục ở lại Úc tạm thời, cho đến khi có Graduate Temporary Visa hoặc Bridging Visa.

Graduate Temporary Visa sẽ được cấp ngay lập tức nếu bạn apply đúng thủ tục. Thật ra nếu 18/7 bạn mới apply skilled assessment thì vẫn cần receipt của nó để xin Graduate Temporary Visa. Theo mình, bạn có 2 cách lựa chọn:

mình đã gọi xuống adelaide và biết là chỉ cần nó nhận được hồ sơ của mình trước khi visa mình hết hạn là ok, còn trong khi process app mà visa hết hạn cũng no problem.
như mình biết khi send app to ACS (take abt 1-2 days) và nó nhận được là sẽ email cho mình receipt ngay.

I went to this forum many months ago but this is the first time I posted in this room in relation to the question above. My answer will not contradict Minh''s but please send your application for a 497 visa by 15 July 2004. In that application please attach a copy of your application to ACS for assessment and provide a letter to let the DIMIA know that you had applied to ACS and awaited a receipt from the ACS. When you have the receipt you will send the receipt to the DIMIA.
By doing this you will retain your legal status and are eligible for the 497 visa.

thanks analyst for ur suggestion. however, im not sure if my app is accepted without a ''real'' ACS receipt after found the following statements from imm.gov.au:
+ Form 1187i: Graduate Skilled Temporary Stay

Does this mean that ur app will be decided at the time they receive/process it? and will be returned to you if not all of the required evidences provided (without waiting for other documents to come)?
And should i change my visa to tourist visa while waiting for their decision on the Graduate Temporary Visa app?
