It should not be surprising that some of the religions that express fears of women's ***ual desire also preach against homo***uality. The two prejudices are connected in their contradiction of the accepted model of ***uality as a coupling of a dominant male and a passive female. Just as religious texts express misogynist attitudes, homophobic prejudice is also easily discernible. Biblical passages condemn homo***ual relation as violating divine laws, claiming that the ***ual and social bond betwenn a man and a woman is the only acceptable human pairing.

Because ***ual relations supposedly have only one proper purpose- namely,procreation- homo***uality is deemed "unnatural" because conception and reproduction are obviously impossible outcomes.

Why does ***ual activity have no legitimate purpose other than procreation ? In Hindu society, homo***uality is regarded as one of the possible expressions of human desire. Hindu mythic stories portray both hetero***ual and homo***ual experience as natural and joyful, and Hindu mythic characters engage in *** for their personal pleasure. Hinduism's "***-positive" mythology actually contradicts condemnation of homo***uality set down when Hindu moral laws were condified in the second century B.C.., but, in fact, Indian society has always accepted homo***ual activity as a human possibility. Contra***ions also coexist between the mythological portrayal of the pleasure of *** and official Hindu fears of the contaminating effects of women on men.

    and so on....
