Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour is said to have drawn up a list of four world class stars he wants to bring to the club - a list that includes the name of Chelsea skipper John Terry.

The other superstars are Valencia''s David Villa, Lionel Messi of Barcelona and Milan''s Kaka.

Mansour would like to sign one of them before the transfer window closes and has handed Mark Hughes a war chest of Ê100m. Hughes has also been told that his job is safe for the time being, despite the poor run of form that saw then culminated in an FA Cup humilation at the hands of Nottingham Forest.

So far Hughes has targeted less glamorous British based players like Wayne Bridge to bolster his squad, although his latest target is thought to be Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure, the younger brother of Arsenal defender Kolo, also linked with the Eastlands outfit. City are thought to have made a Ê24m bid for the Barca player.

The Spanish giants are unwilling to sell, but City may twist Toure''s arm by doubling his current salary of Ê2.4m.
