Second life-Virtual life

Second life is a new concept and technology which I heard yesterday from BBC in an interview with an IBM developer. I was quite shocked once I thought about its impacts on my life.

Second life is virtual life in computer network. In that, you can interact with each other as you do in physical world, in other words you can sense,hear,comnunicate, meet as you do in real life. Your life-your work and personal life- would change tremendously once this technology will be implemented.

In this moment, that technology is not mature yet but I believe you are ready for it. You chit chat,email,telephone,use webcam -all means of IT technology- to build up a raw image in virtual world. Those become your main activities in your work/study and personal life. How do you divide your time between physical life and virtual life? How do you see your identify in two worlds? Are you ready for the new technology?
