Should we open an English Speaking Club!

I visited this box several times but it depressed me that there were no real activities.
There are quite a lot of ESCs at the moment, but I also want to creat a good environtment for TTVNers (and other of course) to practise speaking English. Whether it's successful or not very much depends on you. So please tell me that you're for or against this idea.

I think that is a good idea. I don't know if nhàquê is going back to HN this summer or not to organize the English speaking Club . But please go ahead and make one as soon as possible to compete with the one in HMC City.

I think our club is not ont only a place for us to practise E but also a place for us to meet and be friends. I myself have attended some ESCs and be good friends with several members. Remember that a club last long only if there are key members who are good at E, really enthusiastic and have close relationship with each other.

But how to join this activity if we're not people who's living in HN. We also want to have a useful playing ground, but EFC now is not strong enough to make me pleasure!

just post a proposal that show how you're gonna do, how the club should operate, how often a meeting is held. If u have a good proposal, there will be people around here to take part in the process of bring your idea to reality.

My intention is to organise a club once a week (if possible) or at least every 2 weeks. It may take place at weekend (Sat or Sun). Each time will has a topic, and we will talk in a group of 4 to 6 before having a discussion with the whole club. The one who prepared the topic is also the speaker that day.
Before getting started, I need a big support from you, the TTVNers,... after that we will have a meeting with the key members, work out our operation and inform all other members.

It is my great pleasure of understanding that you are going to open an English speaking club in Hanoi.
I do hope that this great project will come into being soon, so that it will be a bridge to bring us together for a closer cooperation and better relationship in real life.
Anyhow, I have some ideas for you, the organizers, to put into consideration.
Firstly, the speaker of the club should be a person whose command of English is equal to a native speaker one.
Secondly, the participants should have close relationships among them so that they would have updated information on the club's activities. They may use this forum to exchange their ideas and proposals, but YOU, the experient ones and the leaders, should help them understanding how to prepare carefully before each meeting. <--- more useful to each and every members.
Last but not least, the environment of the meeting plays an important role in the success of the club. The leaders should organize the meeting in various ways, e.g. outdoor activities, watching an English speaking film then going to somewhere, and then chat vis-a-vis about things in that film and in life in general, etc.
I do hope that under your skillful guidance, the club will surely be a wonderful place for TTVN English Club members.

Now, MODs are living in foreign countries (not Vietnam) so that they can't help anything for the meeting of our Club.
Anyway, we are voting for a Mod who is living in Hanoi, and he will make an English Speaking Club for anyone in our club! Is it ok ???

In my opinion, it's a need to organize English Speaking Club which can be considered a main offline activity of our club. Our Club hasn't had any offline activity , and we Moderators are responsible for it.
In the Saigon English CLub , there are online activities as well as offline ones. The English Speaking club is held twice a month and in co-operation with the English Speaking Club of the Polytechnic Uni. That's a good solution .
We must have a leader and some assistants to organize English Speaking Club in Ha Noi . Looking for a place, writing topic, printing, designing advertisement ,etc....Many things to worry about.
Members of our club who live in Ho Chi Minh City can attend the English Speaking Club of Saigon English CLub. And members living in Hanoi can come to the English Speaking CLub of our Club.
