    Both of you had inperfect solution though they're quite good. In question 1, Jointrung did better . In question 3, Quanbanh had a very exact reply. However, Quanbanh's mistake in question 1 is acceptable. So, Quanbanh97202 is the winner of the 2nd Test.

    I notice nothing odd about this sentence except that the latter verb should be in past perfect: ....because he had noticed....
    The possessive pronouns he and his might seem ambiguous between Holmes and the victim. But in the context introduced by the previous clause, you could safely assume that he implies Holmes and his implies the victim, so no ambiguity is possible here.
    Am I right?
