Cứ tưởng tượng : cầm cái điện thoại so với nhìn thấy người ngồi trước mặt mình, cảm nhận được thái độ của người ta, đôi khi lúng búng còn cười cười......rõ là lợi thế hơn hẳn. Nhưng chắc thi kiểu mới chắc cũng có cái hay. Mà em Brit có điều kiện làm quen tiếng Anh từ nhỏ, đuợc đi nước ngoài từ nhỏ, giờ lại học chuyên nữa .....đáng ra phải tự tin chứ em. Em có lợi thế rất lớn đấy.

Introduction:
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL®) is undergoing some important changes. In order to meet the challenge of providing a more comprehensive assessment of an applicant?Ts ability to understand and use the English language in an academic environment, the next generation TOEFL® has been developed to assess all four language skills - listening, reading, writing, and speaking. While some questions in each of the sections will be similar to questions found on the current computer-based TOEFL® test (CBT), others will be new. The scoring system will change as well. Each of the four language skills will now be reported on a scale of 0 to 25 and there will also be a total score. In ad***ion, the next generation TOEFL® will no longer have computer-adaptive sections; it will be a linear assessment test covering a full range of question difficulty. Note taking will be allowed on the new TOEFL® in order to better reflect real-life academic situations. The new TOEFL® will take approximately four hours to finish.
Starting in July 2004, students will be introduced to this new version of the TOEFL® on the Internet. Full-length tests will be unproctored (i.e.: not supervised), and the scores will be given to the examinee only. In September 2005, the next generation TOEFL® will begin to be administered at official ETS test centers.
A very important change to the TOEFL® is the inclusion of a mandatory speaking component - the Academic Speaking Test (AST). This test will last approximately 20 minutes, and will take place over the telephone.Your responses will be recorded on tape and then reviewed later and given a score. During the test you will be asked six questions, two of which will focus on familiar topics. The other four will ask about short conversations, lectures, and reading passages. Both the questions and the reading passages will be printed in the test book. The time you have to prepare your response and speak will be printed below each question. The preparation time begins as soon as the question is finished, and you will be told when to begin speaking. See below for examples.

Example 1:
Narrator: Number 1. You will now be asked to give your opinion about a familiar topic. After you hear the question, you will have 15 seconds to prepare your response and 45 seconds to speak.
Some students study for classes individually. Others study in groups. Which method of studying do you think is better and why?
Preparation time: 15 seconds
Response time: 45 seconds

Example 2:
Narrator: Number 2. You will now read a short passage and then listen to a talk on the same topic. You will then be asked a question about them. After you hear the question, you will have 30 seconds to prepare your response and 60 seconds to speak.
The administration at Central University feels it needs to find a way for more people to be able to attend sporting events. Read the article from the university newspaper below. You will have 45 seconds to read it.

oh, mình cũng dự định thi vào cuối năm nay, mình đã đến IIE rồi. Tuy nhiên mình không biết rằng lại có sự thay đổi như vậy.
KHông sao, cả thế giới phải theo sựthay đổi này thì mình cớ gì mà không theo!
Tuy nhiên mình đang lo một điều là ôn thi ở đâu? Mình đang ở Hà Nội, mình có qua Appolo, Language Link và một vài trung tâm khác, họ nói học fí là 180 USD/ khoá 10 tuần. Thật ra muốn học tốt thì đầu tư đâu có saonhưng mà trình độ của mình chjỉ 460 thôi nên sợ học ở đấy phí tiền, mình muốn học ở các thầy tư, Bạn nào có địa chỉ thì cho mình biết với!

Bạn cho mình hỏi tại sao đọc xong bài đó bạn lại nhẹ người nhỉ.
Mình nghe thấy cái tin dzữ này từ lâu lắm rùi và sợ muốn khó luôn ấy chứ. Huhu thi bi giờ thì chưa cần, lúc cần thì vừa mới lập tức nó đổi, chẳng có thời gian muh ôn luyện, chẳng có trick hay tip nào nữa rùi.

Mình nhờ mod xóa hộ cái bài này nhé. Tnx a lot!

Ko bit fai viet vao dau , nhưng ở đây có bac nào thi vào thang 8 và tháng 10/2004 cho hỏi là đề thi có phải dạng Long form ko ?

từ tháng 1/2004 đến giờ chỉ toàn là long form thôi bạn ạ,nói long form cũng ko hẳn đúng chỉ có nghe là tăng lên thành 70 câu (nhưng chỉ tính điểm 50 câu),các section còn lại vẫn y nguyên

TOEFL mới sẽ cực kì khó ---- Kô chỉ nói nhiều, mà còn Nghe nhiều hơn. Phần Structure sẽ bị bỏ đi. Nên nhớ đây là phần gỡ điểm... Viết thì có phần tóm tắt chỉ đc phép viết trong 3-5 phút. Còn nghe + nói thì mình sẽ nghe một đoạn đối thoại or lectures, sau đó nói lại sơ qua nội dung của đoạn đó. Khó kô? Chẳng wá khó í chứ..........

Đúng tủ của mình.. i hate written and structure .... I wish i could take it next year... DARN IT!!!

Anh ở Anh 2 năm rồi nên sẽ thấy thích, còn em, ở VN 17 năm Khổ wá trời ơi!!!
