Em đang có một bài dịch cũng có một số từ mới liên quan đến ô tô mà em không hiểu, anh chị nào giải thich giúp được không ạ?Em xin cảm ơn ạ.

Theo em hiểu thì đây là 4 loại xe Smart khác nhau trong đấy loại đầu tiên là kiểu xe nhỏ chuyên dùng để đi trong thành phố phải ko ạ?Còn mấy loại kia là gì ạ?

Personality cults usually characterize totalitarian, authoritarian, or one-party states, especially those with a strong revolutionary consciousness. The reputation of a single leader, often characterized as the "liberator" or "savior" of the people, elevates that leader to an near-divine level.
A personality cult is also characterized by many images and representations of a leader in public places, including statues, billboards, posters, signs, paintings, and vast murals. In many cases the leader is portrayed in various types of garb (indicating many roles) and in heroic positions. This is meant to emphasize the greatness and wisdom of the leader. The leader''s slogans and other quotes cover massive spaces, and books containing the leader''s speeches and writings fill up bookstores, libraries, and schools. The level of flattery can reach heights which may appear absurd to outsiders.
Personality cults aim to make the leader and the state seem synonymous, so it becomes impossible to comprehend the existence of one without the other. It also helps justify the often harsh rule of a dictatorship, and propaganda leads the citizens into believing that the leader operates as a kind and just ruler. In ad***ion, cults of personality often arise out of an effort to quash opposition within a ruling elite, and to help leaders help crush their political opponents.
To justify personality cults, leaders sometimes try to present themselves as personally humble and modest and characterize their vast personality cults as spontaneous shows of popular support and affection.
Cults of personality can collapse very quickly after the ousting or death of the leader. In some cases, the leader formerly the subject of a cult of personality becomes vilified after his death, especially after a violent overthrow. A massive effort of renaming and image-removal may take place.
The term "personality cult" does not generally refer to showing respect for the dead (such as historic national founders like Lenin or George Washington), nor does it refer to honoring symbolic leaders who have no real power. The latter often occurs with monarchies, such as that of Thailand, in which the king or queen''s image is respectfully displayed in many public places, but convention or law forbids them from converting this respect into real political power.
Cults of personality do not appear universal among all authoritarian societies. A few of the world''s most oppressive regimes have in fact exhibited little to no worship of the leader. The Khmer Rouge government in Cambodia and the theocratic Taliban government of Afghanistan lacked many of the trappings of cults of personality, and the leaders in these regimes remained almost anonymous. In these cases, the lack of a cult of personality seems partly motivated by the desire to project an image of a faceless but omniscient and omnipresent state. In other cases, such as the post-Mao People''s Republic of China, authorities frown upon the establishment of a cult of personality for fear it may upset the balance of power between the leaders within the political elite.

Bạn à, mình chẳng biết nhiều về các thành ngữ tiếng Anh nhưng mình nghĩ nếu bạn không học dịch thì ko cần phải dich sang tiếng Anh đâu. Bạn chỉ cần hiểu nghĩa của nó thôi. Học tiếng Anh thì bạn không nên dịch sang tiếng Việt, bạn chỉ cần hiểu để áp dụng thôi. Như vậy thì khả năng thinking in English mới tốt, và bạn có thể dùng tiếng Anh như người Anh.
Đây là vài kinh nghiệm của tôi, chia sẻ với bạn để nếu bạn thấy hợp thì áp dụng.

mình rất cám ơn thiện ý của bạn nhưng mình ko hiểu ý của bạn lắm : " Học tiếng Anh thì bạn không nên dịch sang tiếng Việt, bạn chỉ cần hiểu để áp dụng thôi " ? bạn có thể nói rõ thêm ko

Nếu bạn hiểu rồi thì dịch làm gì nữa cho mất thời gian.
Để dùng tiếng anh thành thạo thì phải tư duy bằng ngôn ngữ đó. Nếu bạn quen dịch sang tiếng Việt, sau này khi nói, viết dễ có thói quen dịch ngược từ tiếng Việt sang tiếng anh, câu văn sẽ không hay, không phải văn phong tiếng anh, đọc rất kỳ. Dĩ nhiên cứ học mãi lên thì cũng sẽ bỏ được cái tật đó, nhưng tóm lại thì dịch để làm gì?

Theo mình ko dịch ra Tv chẳng qua là kém Tv. Ai bảo cứ có thói quen dịch ra TV sẽ học TA ko tốt. Thế mấy người dịch thuật thì sao như thầy Tân chẳng hạn. Họ dịch tốt vì họ học Tv tốt. Điều đáng lo ngại là Sv bây h cứ chăm lo học tiếng này tiếng nọ nhưng chẳng để ý Tv đã tốt chưa.

Trời, các thầy đó làm công việc dich thuật thì đương nhiên phải dich ra tiếng Việt rồi. Tôi đã nói là nếu ko học dịch thì ko nên dịch sang tiếng Việt tất cả mọi thứ, bạn sẽ ko sử dụng được tiếng Anh như người bản ngữ đâu nếu cái gì cũng chăm chăm tìm từ tương đương trong tiếng Việt chưa kể tiếng Việt cũng chưa chuẩn thì phí thời gian lắm.

bạn legend_of_the_fall nói đúng đấy, trước khi học dịch phải học tiếng anh cơ bản đã chứ, sau cơ bản thì phải học cao cao 1 tẹo, sau đó mới học dịch, trước hết phải học cách thinking in English...
nói thì dễ, nhưng để thinking được kiếu đó khó lém.. . híc
