Now let me just say, Gerbich..o_O. In ALL of my years of speaking English, writing, conversing or just plainly using English in general...I have NEVER seen "Dear Gentlemen" at the beginning of a letter address to an INDIVIDUAL. o_o
It is often addressed to a group of people, and in a conversing situation only.
    But I could be wrong..^^;;..
I appreciate the effort though. And to be frank, I think all the mentioned translations are all quite appropriate, if you ignore bits and pieces, little errors here and there that may I add..HAPPEN TO THE BEST of writers. If you want to get all fussy about it, there are many ways, one of which, I could turn this simple paragraph into one big long arse essay. But I''m not going to do that..It''s just a reply. A short and simple one..^^
That''s just my two cents. Sorry if I have offended anybody. I mean no harm. =) And I''m actually quite impressed with most people''s ability to speak English in this forum. =)

    Doi la bien kho..

I just want to clarify that I did not mean to give you the impression that I was critisizing yours letters were incorrect . ( nếu các bạn có hiểu lầm thì cho Gerbich xin lỗi nhe )
I just want to give some input and share my personal style of writing .
Before I answer the questions , may I ask how have you applied english into your daily life ?
Translation is a very wide topic to discuss , but I have some important points I would like to go throught .
1). We can''t translate directly word for word .
2). Many words can be used improperly in sentences when we are directly translating from one language to another .
3). Certain words and phrases may be used differently depending on the field we are discussing .
In order to write ( or translate ) a good business letter . It is essential to get a main point across concisly . There are many words usages that we do not generally see but it does not mean that It''s incorrect .
The way I use English in everyday life is affected by my environment ; therefore , each individual has a different voice in his/her writing style .
Because I have some technical problem with my computer . I will have to continue our discussion later .
Cám ơn Mods deleted baì dùm cho G. , lại có problem nữa rồi

Firstly, I''d like to say that I am quite impressed with your English Gerbich. =)
Secondly..how have I applied English into my daily life?
Hmm..let''s see. I speak it at school, after school, at the shops. I write it in every subject I do, History, Geography, Literature, even Science and Maths. I write my personal diary in English, I converse with my friends in English (since none of them can speak Vietnamese). So let me just say..English IS my daily life. I don''t need to -apply- it.
I take into account of your OWN unique type of writing =), and I have no problem nor critics towards that, I was merely commenting that I have never seen it before. ^^;; I''m sorry if you were offended in anyway.
^^ I also don''t mean to brag about me, or my English, especially you and your English. ^^
I was just commenting, if I have offended you in anyway, I am sincerely sorry.
    Take care. =)
