When I first picked up " Ðất Hứa " I did not fully understand what the book was going to be about . Because when I translated the tittle it had 2 possible meanings : The promised land and the Dreamland .
Dreamland gives the reader the sense of fantasy or unreality such as induced by opium or other mind altering drugs .
Promised land or land of promise leads the reader into the idea of a place of opportunity which is up to the individual to realize .
These two images are antithetical to each other and underscore how important words can be in choosing to convey meaning .

Yeah, utopia is just the same as dreamland. However, it''s used, as I have found, mainly in scientific texts, which means in everyday use it rarely appears. E.g, in a utopia where there exists no economic goods, nobody cares what to produce, how to produce and for whom to produce.

Very humble and also very accurate. However as I said it is my PERSONAL translation..so it''s plenty wrong.
^^;; I think that''s what English is all about, how each individual perceives different meanings of words in different context. English words are perfect, accurate and correct mechanical terms. They carry personal feelings and interpretion.
